The solution‐processed layer‐by‐layer (LBL) method has potential to achieve high‐performance polymer solar cells (PSCs) due to its advantage of enriching donors near the anode and acceptors near the cathode. However, power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of the LBL‐PSCs are still significantly lower than those of conventional one‐step‐processed PSCs (OS‐PSCs). A method to solve the critical problems in LBL‐PSCs is reported here. By employing a specific mixed solvent (o‐dichlorobenzene [o‐DCB]/tetrahydrofuran) to spin‐coat the small‐molecular acceptor IT‐4F onto a layer of the newly designed polymer donor (PBDB‐TFS1), appropriate interdiffusion between the PBDB‐TFS1 and the IT‐4F can critically be controlled, and then an ideal phase separation of the active layer and large donor/acceptor interface area can be realized with a certain amount of o‐DCB. The PSCs based on the LBL method exhibit PCEs as high as 13.0%, higher than that of the counterpart (11.8%) made by the conventional OS solution method. This preliminary work reveals that the LBL method is a promising approach to the promotion of the photovoltaic performance of polymer solar cells.  相似文献

Alternative low‐temperature solution‐processed hole‐transporting materials (HTMs) without dopant are critical for highly efficient perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Here, two novel small molecule HTMs with linear π‐conjugated structure, 4,4′‐bis(4‐(di‐p‐toyl)aminostyryl)biphenyl (TPASBP) and 1,4′‐bis(4‐(di‐p‐toyl)aminostyryl)benzene (TPASB), are applied as hole‐transporting layer (HTL) by low‐temperature (sub‐100 °C) solution‐processed method in p‐i‐n PSCs. Compared with standard poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene): poly(styrenesulfonic acid) (PEDOT:PSS) HTL, both TPASBP and TPASB HTLs can promote the growth of perovskite (CH3NH3PbI3) film consisting of large grains and less grain boundaries. Furthermore, the hole extraction at HTL/CH3NH3PbI3 interface and the hole transport in HTL are also more efficient under the conditions of using TPASBP or TPASB as HTL. Hence, the photovoltaic performance of the PSCs is dramatically enhanced, leading to the high efficiencies of 17.4% and 17.6% for the PSCs using TPASBP and TPASB as HTL, respectively, which are ≈40% higher than that of the standard PSC using PEDOT:PSS HTL.  相似文献

Recent perovskite solar cell (PSC) advances have pursued strategies for reducing interfacial energetic mismatches to mitigate energy losses, as well as to minimize interfacial and bulk defects and ion vacancies to maximize charge transfer. Here nonconjugated multi‐zwitterionic small‐molecule electrolytes (NSEs) are introduced, which act not only as charge‐extracting layers for barrier‐free charge collection at planar triple cation PSC cathodes but also passivate charged defects at the perovskite bulk/interface via a spontaneous bottom‐up passivation effect. Implementing these synergistic properties affords NSE‐based planar PSCs that deliver a remarkable power conversion efficiency of 21.18% with a maximum VOC = 1.19 V, in combination with suppressed hysteresis and enhanced environmental, thermal, and light‐soaking stability. Thus, this work demonstrates that the bottom‐up, simultaneous interfacial and bulk trap passivation using NSE modifiers is a promising strategy to overcome outstanding issues impeding further PSC advances.  相似文献

The emergence of cesium lead iodide (CsPbI3) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has generated enormous interest in the photovoltaic research community. However, in general they exhibit low power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) because of the existence of defects. A new all‐inorganic perovskite material, CsPbI3:Br:InI3, is prepared by defect engineering of CsPbI3. This new perovskite retains the same bandgap as CsPbI3, while the intrinsic defect concentration is largely suppressed. Moreover, it can be prepared in an extremely high humidity atmosphere and thus a glovebox is not required. By completely eliminating the labile and expensive components in traditional PSCs, the all‐inorganic PSCs based on CsPbI3:Br:InI3 and carbon electrode exhibit PCE and open‐circuit voltage as high as 12.04% and 1.20 V, respectively. More importantly, they demonstrate excellent stability in air for more than two months, while those based on CsPbI3 can survive only a few days in air. The progress reported represents a major leap for all‐inorganic PSCs and paves the way for their further exploration in order to achieve higher performance.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells with all‐organic transport layers exhibit efficiencies rivaling their counterparts that employ inorganic transport layers, while avoiding high‐temperature processing. Herein, it is investigated how the choice of the fullerene derivative employed in the electron‐transporting layer of inverted perovskite cells affects the open‐circuit voltage (VOC). It is shown that nonradiative recombination mediated by the electron‐transporting layer is the limiting factor for the VOC in the cells. By inserting an ultrathin layer of an insulating polymer between the active CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite and the fullerene, an external radiative efficiency of up to 0.3%, a VOC as high as 1.16 V, and a power conversion efficiency of 19.4% are realized. The results show that the reduction of nonradiative recombination due to charge‐blocking at the perovskite/organic interface is more important than proper level alignment in the search for ideal selective contacts toward high VOC and efficiency.  相似文献

Two novel wide‐bandgap copolymers, PBDT‐TDZ and PBDTS‐TDZ, are developed based on 1,3,4‐thiadiazole (TDZ) and benzo[1,2‐b:4,5‐b′]dithiophene (BDT) building blocks. These copolymers exhibit wide bandgaps over 2.07 eV and low‐lying highest occupied molecular orbital (HOMO) levels below −5.35 eV, which match well with the typical low‐bandgap acceptor of ITIC, resulting in a good complementary absorption from 300 to 900 nm and a low HOMO level offset (≤0.13 eV). Compared to PBDT‐TDZ, PBDTS‐TDZ with alkylthio side chains exhibits the stronger optical absorption, lower‐lying HOMO level, and higher crystallinity. By using a single green solvent of o‐xylene, PBDTS‐TDZ:ITIC devices exhibit a large open‐circuit voltage (Voc) up to 1.10 eV and an extremely low energy loss (Eloss) of 0.48 eV. At the same time, the desirable high short‐circuit current density (Jsc) of 17.78 mA cm−2 and fill factor of 65.4% are also obtained, giving rise to a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 12.80% without any additive and post‐treatment. When adopting a homotandem device architecture, the PCE is further improved to 13.35% (certified as 13.19%) with a much larger Voc of 2.13 V, which is the best value for any type of homotandem organic solar cells reported so far.  相似文献

High efficiency, excellent stability, and air processability are all important factors to consider in endeavoring to push forward the real‐world application of organic solar cells. Herein, an air‐processed inverted photovoltaic device built upon a low‐bandgap, air‐stable, phenanthridinone‐based ter‐polymer (C150H218N6O6S4)n (PDPPPTD) and [6,6]‐phenyl‐C61‐butyric acid methyl ester (PC61BM) without involving any additive engineering processes yields a high efficiency of 6.34%. The PDPPPTD/PC61BM devices also exhibit superior thermal stability and photo‐stability as well as long‐term stability in ambient atmosphere without any device encapsulation, which show less performance decay as compared to most of the reported organic solar cells. In view of their great potential, solvent additive engineering via adding p‐anisaldehyde (AA) is attempted, leading to a further improved efficiency of 7.41%, one of the highest efficiencies for all air‐processed and stable organic photovoltaic devices. Moreover, the device stability under different ambient conditions is also further improved with the AA additive engineering. Various characterizations are conducted to probe the structural, morphology, and chemical information in order to correlate the structure with photovoltaic performance. This work paves a way for developing a new generation of air‐processable organic solar cells for possible commercial application.  相似文献

Perovskite solar cells (PSCs) and organic solar cells (OSCs) are promising renewable light‐harvesting technologies with high performance, but the utilization of hazardous dopants and high boiling additives is harmful to all forms of life and the environment. Herein, new multirole π‐conjugated polymers (P1–P3) are developed via a rational design approach through theoretical hindsight, further successfully subjecting them into dopant‐free PSCs as hole‐transporting materials and additive‐free OSCs as photoactive donors, respectively. Especially, P3‐based PSCs and OSCs not only show high power conversion efficiencies of 17.28% and 8.26%, but also display an excellent ambient stability up to 30 d (for PSCs only), owing to their inherent superior optoelectronic properties in their pristine form. Overall, the rational approach promises to support the development of environmentally and economically sustainable PSCs and OSCs.  相似文献

The power conversion efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) has ascended from 3.8% to 22.1% in recent years. ZnO has been well‐documented as an excellent electron‐transport material. However, the poor chemical compatibility between ZnO and organo‐metal halide perovskite makes it highly challenging to obtain highly efficient and stable PSCs using ZnO as the electron‐transport layer. It is demonstrated in this work that the surface passivation of ZnO by a thin layer of MgO and protonated ethanolamine (EA) readily makes ZnO as a very promising electron‐transporting material for creating hysteresis‐free, efficient, and stable PSCs. Systematic studies in this work reveal several important roles of the modification: (i) MgO inhibits the interfacial charge recombination, and thus enhances cell performance and stability; (ii) the protonated EA promotes the effective electron transport from perovskite to ZnO, further fully eliminating PSCs hysteresis; (iii) the modification makes ZnO compatible with perovskite, nicely resolving the instability of ZnO/perovskite interface. With all these findings, PSCs with the best efficiency up to 21.1% and no hysteresis are successfully fabricated. PSCs stable in air for more than 300 h are achieved when graphene is used to further encapsulate the cells.  相似文献

Nonfullerene organic solar cells (NFOSCs) are attracting increasing academic and industrial interest due to their potential uses for flexible and lightweight products using low‐cost roll‐to‐roll technology. In this work, two wide bandgap (WBG) polymers, namely P(fTh‐BDT)‐C6 and P(fTh‐2DBDT)‐C6, are designed and synthesized using benzodithiophene (BDT) derivatives. Good oxidation stability and high solubility are achieved by simultaneously introducing fluorine and alkyl chains to a single thiophene (Th) unit. Solid P(fTh‐2DBDT)‐C6 films present WBG optical absorption, suitable frontier orbital levels, and strong π–π stacking effects. In addition, P(fTh‐2DBDT)‐C6 exhibits good solubility in both halogenated and nonhalogenated solvents, suggesting its suitability as donor polymer for NFOSCs. The P(fTh‐2DBDT)‐C6:3,9‐bis(2‐methylene‐(3‐(1,1‐dicyanomethylene)‐indanone))‐5,5,11,11‐tetrakis(5‐hexylthienyl)‐dithieno[2,3‐d:2′,3′‐d′]‐s‐indaceno[1,2‐b:5,6‐b′]dithiophene (ITIC‐Th) based device processed using chlorobenzene/1,8‐diiodooctane (CB/DIO) exhibits a remarkably high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 11.1%. Moreover, P(fTh‐2DBDT)‐C6:ITIC‐Th reaches a high PCE of 10.9% when processed using eco‐friendly solvents, such as o‐xylene/diphenyl ether (DPE). The cell processed using CB/DIO maintains 100% efficiency after 1272 h, while that processed using o‐xylene/DPE presents a 101% increase in efficiency after 768 h and excellent long‐term stability. The results of this study demonstrate that simultaneous fluorination and alkylation are effective methods for designing donor polymers appropriate for high‐performance NFOSCs.  相似文献
