TheA 1g andB 1g low-energy Raman continua of YBa2Cu3O y (Y123) single crystals, withy=7.0, 6.99, and 6.93, have been investigated. It is found that the peak frequency of theA 1g continuum is equal to 310±10 cm–1 and independent of oxygen concentration fory in the above range. The central frequency of the broad peak in theB 1g continuum, however, shifts from about 470 cm–1 fory7.0 to 550 cm–1 fory6.93. Thus, a relatively small change in oxygen concentration results in a significant redistribution of the states contributing to theB 1g continuum. Assuming the low-energy portions of the continua are electronic in origin, the Raman spectra have been calculated and the results compared to the experimental spectra. It is suggested that the Raman continua arise, at least in part, from scattering across a spin fluctuation-induced pseudogap.  相似文献

Large single crystals of (La1–x Ca x )2CaCu2O6 were synthesized by the travelling solvent floating zone (TSFZ) technique. The dimension of the grown boules was typically 4 mm×30 mm long with thec-axis perpendicular to the growth direction. After oxygen loading at 1080°C in 400 atm of O2, they became superconductive with a sharp transition at around 50 K. The resistivity was metallic both along thec-axis and within theab-plane, with an anisotropy ratio of 2( c/ ab ) 50 which is almost independent of temperature. Details of the crystal growth, heat treatment procedures, and the results of electrical and magnetic property measurements are presented.  相似文献

In this study, the measured curves of AC susceptibility (ACS) components, (T) and (T), of polycrystalline RuSr2GdCu2O8 (Ru-1212) superconductor were scaled onto a single curve using the peak temperature of its imaginary part (T p) as the scaling parameter for various AC field amplitudes from 0.5 to 24 G. The dependence of the AC magnetic field amplitude on T p is scaled as: H ac (1–T p/T c)2.25. Similarly, the current density J c, extracted from the AC field amplitude is also scaled as: J c (1 – T p/T c)2.25. The dependencies of T p on frequency and AC field amplitude are also investigated and the time parameter t 0 of the order of 10–8 s is estimated from the dependence of T p on frequency. The dependencies of activation energy on temperature, T, and the field amplitude, H ac, are obtained from the Arrhenius-like semilog plot of frequency () and T p. Such dependencies on temperature and field amplitude can be described by a scaling law of the form: U(H ac,T) = U 0[1 – T/T p]H ac –0.17.  相似文献

WO3 crystals were doped with Na on the surface to 7% nominal atomic concentration. Scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy were employed, together with magnetization measurements, in the study of these crystals. Tunneling experiments reveal superconducting islands, 20–150 nm in size, covering about 10% of the surface, the rest of which is insulating. Magnetization measurements show that the superconducting phase formed at the surface has a critical temperature of 91 K, while tunneling spectroscopy yields superconducting gaps having values up to 2/kT c 4. Presumably most of the sodium is concentrated in these islands and therefore they are metallic in nature, above 30% in atomic concentration. This material is therefore a noncuprate superconductor with a high critical temperature.  相似文献

Titania (TiO2) powders have been prepared from the 0.025-M titanium isopropoxide/ethanol solution and the 0.5-M distilled water/ethanol solution. The prepared TiO2 powders showed an anatase phase and a rutile phase after heat treatment at 500°C for 2 h and 1000°C for 2 h, respectively. The heterocoagulation adsorption between TiO2 powder and sericite surface in water was achieved in the range of pH 3.63.7 (where this pH range shows a maximum Zeta-potential difference for two powders). On the other hand, an anomalous transformation behavior appeared in the TiO2-adsorbed sericite after heat treatment at 1000°C. The surface modification of sericite through the TiO2-adsorption improved the whiteness as well as the SPF (Sun Protection Factor) indices.  相似文献

We have grown cubic centimeter-size crystals of YBa2Cu3O x suitable for neutron studies, by a top-seeded melt-growth technique. Growth conditions were optimized with an eye toward maximizing phase purity. It was found that the addition of 2% Y2BaCuO5 and 0.5% Pt (by mass) were required to prevent melt loss and to obtain the highest crystallinity. A neutron diffraction study on a mosaic of six such crystals found that the final Y2BaCuO5 concentration was 5%, while other impurity phases comprised less than 1% by volume. The oxygen content was set to x = 6.5, the crystals were detwinned, and then carefully annealed to give the well-ordered ortho-II phase. The neutron study determined that 70% of the mosaic's volume was in the majority orthorhomic domain. The neutron (006) and (110) rocking curve widths were 1° per crystal and 2.2° for the mosaic, and the oxygen chain correlation lengths were >100 Å in the a- and b-directions and 50 Å in the c-direction.  相似文献

By using isothermal magnetization measurements in polycrystalline MgB2 samples, we estimate the H c c2 in the interval [0, T c]. By combining these measurements to the estimated H ab c2 from the onset of the diamagnetic transition in isofield and isothermal magnetic measurements, an estimation of the anisotropy parameter can be achieved. The H c c2 values coming from high quality polycrystalline samples agrees nicely to those obtained on single crystals. Our results show a temperature variation of the (T ) = H ab c2/Hc2 with (T c) 3.  相似文献

We report extensive magnetization measurements on single crystals of Tl2Ba2CuO6 superconductors. The fishtail magnetization is found to disappear above a characteristic temperature (60 K), which corresponds to a crossover temperature in the temperature dependence of the irreversibility line. Since the low temperature irreversibility field can be modeled by a Josephson coupled layered system, we propose that the fishtail magnetization in the Tl2Ba2CuO6 system is due to dimensional crossover.  相似文献

We observed, for the first time, adsorption of weakly bonded oxygen at low temperature (<-250°C) by a Y5Ba6Cu11O y sample, using thermogravimetric analysis. The resulting oxygen enriched phase in the surface layers may be attributed to the observation of a superconductivity-like transition at above 200 K.  相似文献

A suitable decomposition of the electronic density response and of the electron-phonon interaction into local and nonlocal contributions is extended to the nonadiabatic regime taking dynamical screening into account. It is shown for La2CuO4 that the already large (nonlocal) adiabatic electron-phonon coupling is further strongly enhanced for certain phonons along the (0, 0, 1) direction. In this region of wave-vector space we also have a low-lying plasmon mode which mixes strongly with the phonons of appropriate symmetry leading to an anomalous renormalization for certain phonons. The coexistence of phononlike and plasmonlike resonances in the same frequency range is argued to be a specific feature of the layered high-temperature superconductors.  相似文献

The degradation of epitaxial thin films of YBa2Cu3O7 has been studied as a function of annealing temperature in air and in vacuum; some samples had an evaporated overlayer of CaF2. Degradation was monitored by the measurement of electrical properties after consecutive 30-min annealing treatments. The room-temperature resistance registered significant increases for all samples after annealing at temperatures above about 200°C; the critical current density at 77 K was degraded for annealing temperatures 400°C in air, and 200–250°C in vacuum. By annealing in oxygen at 550°C, electrical properties were restored in degraded bare YBCO samples annealed in vacuum, but not for those annealed in air.  相似文献

CrxGe1–x (x 0.08) films were grown on GaAs (001) and Ge (001) substrates using molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) method, and their magnetic and transport properties have been studied in the temperature range between 1.8 and 300 K. All of the films exhibited weak paramagnetic behavior. Transport measurements showed that magnetoresistance ratio and the anomalous Hall resistance depend on the Cr concentration x and the kinds of substrate.  相似文献

Fine powders of YBa2Cu3O7–x have been synthesized by injecting mixed nitrate solutions of yttrium, barium, and copper into an argon rf thermal plasma. In general, the as-produced powders were dark brown and nonconducting. To obtain superconductivity, the as-produced powders were annealed either in a flowing oxygen tube furnace (at 900C) or in a lowpressure oxygen rf plasma. X-ray powder diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and centrifugal sedimentation were used for powder characterization. For resistance measurements, bulk samples were prepared by isostatic pressing and tube furnace sintering of the annealed powders. The superconducting transition temperature (at 50% drop of resistivity) was 86 K.  相似文献

H c2 of MgCNi3 has been determined from the specific heat C and resistivity measurements in the same sample. The results from are nearly identical with those determined from the anomaly in C. Furthermore, utilizing the relation (H) H and the value of d/dH, the obtained value of H c2 is the same as that by the WHH model, if the spin paramagnetic effect and the spin–orbit interaction are taken into account. The results of this comparison have strong implications on the order parameter of MgCNi3.  相似文献

The curve shape of T c vs. holes injected by fields (transistor doping) of CaCuO2 and C60 are interpreted on a charge or bond ordering [BO] model. For CaCuO2 both the magnitude of optimal T c (89 K vs. a calculated 83 K) and the linear portions around a sharp T c peak at h 0.17 = 1/6 are in accord with a universal algorithm for cuprates, in which T c scales linearly with radical bond density to an optimal BO. These linear regions extrapolate to h = 0 and 1/3 respectively. Small trends to electronic freezing are observed at h = 1/8. A second linear region extends from h 1/12 to 1/16 with 4 times the slope of the first linear region, indicating a second mode of BO filling. A surprisingly similar behavior is observed for transistor doped C60 type materials with characteristic sequence of BO dictated hole concentrations for T c onset, rise, a linear region extrapolating to T c = 0 at h = 0, indications for electronic freezing, a sharp peak and linear decrease thereafter. This suggests that a common phenomenology obtains for all high T c materials, representing generally an ordering phenomenon of doped covalent radical bonds.  相似文献

High temperature deformation behaviour of MoSi2 and WSi2 single crystals, which both oriented near 001 and near 100, have been studied by compression tests over the temperature range of 1100 to 1500° C in a high vacuum of less than 6×10–4 Pa. At elevated temperatures, several per cent compression deformation is possible in both MoSi2 and WSi2. Slips on {110 and {013 planes, the dislocation with the direction of Burgers vector 331 and the stacking fault on {110 plane are observed in both deformed MoSi2 and WSi2. In MoSi2, the 0.2% offset stress of the sample oriented <001> is higher than that of the sample oriented <100>. The higher strength of the sample oriented <001> is related to the higher CRSS for the main slip plane of it. The reverse orientation dependence of the strength in WSi2 is also correlated with the difference in CRSS on {110 and {013 planes, which shows the opposite result to MoSi2. The higher CRSS on {110 plane in WSi2 compared to that on {013 may be caused by the formation of a large number of stacking faults on {110 plane.  相似文献

The variation of critical current density at 77 K as a function of film thickness was studied for YBa2Cu3O7 films on (100) LaAlO3 substrates. Film thicknesses were in the range 0.2–1.6m. The films were deposited by co-evaporation and post-annealed under conditions which have previously resulted in high-quality films (750°C and an oxygen partial pressure of 29 Pa). The critical current density at 77 K exceeds 1 MA cm–2 for the thinner films, and decreases with increasing film thickness in excess of about 0.4m. The decrease is in rough agreement with a switch fromc-axis toa-axis growth at about this critical thickness. A good anticorrelation was found between room temperature resistivity and critical current density at 77 K. The results are compared to those obtained before by post-annealing at 850°C in 1 atm of oxygen.  相似文献

We report on the results of a comparative investigation of highly dense bulk MgB2 samples prepared by three methods: (i) hot deformation; (ii) high pressure sintering; and (iii) mechanical alloying of Mg and B powders with subsequent hot compaction. All types of samples were studied by AC susceptibility, DC magnetization, and resistivity measurements in magnetic fields up to 0 H = 160 kOe. A small but distinct anisotropy of the upper critical field connected with some texture of MgB2 grains was found for the hot deformed samples. The samples prepared by high pressure sintering as well as by mechanical alloying show improved superconducting properties, including high upper critical fields H c2 (0 H c2 (0) 23 T), irreversibility fields H irr which are strongly shifted towards higher values H irr(T) 0.8 H c2(T) and high critical current J c (J c = 105 A/cm2 at 20 K and 1 T).  相似文献

Previously, we have observed that parallel lattice fringes show up regularly in MTG samples, indicative of good alignment of unit cells in strips of size 100 nm × a few times 100 nm. We have prepared films ( 80 nm) for TEM observation using YBCO material fabricated by the conventional solid-state reaction method in order to study the crystal texture in a length scale from a few 100 nm down to 3 Å. Parallel lattice fringes are observed to stretch across a cross-section 0.3×0.5 m2. Cross lattice fringes intersecting at 90° and 45° are observed as rare events. This result suggests that the degree of alignment in the crystal texture is higher than expected inside a grain of size a few m.  相似文献

Sr2YRuO6 doped on its Ru site by Cu superconducts at the below 45 K, although its Ru and Cu are magnetically ordered at 23 K and 86 K, respectively. The SrO layers superconduct. Ba2GdRuO6, when doped with Cu, does not superconduct, because L = 0 Gd is not crystal-field split, and so induces Cooper pair-breaking.  相似文献
