A method for measuring dynamic deformations of rotating objects with pulsed digital holography is described. An optical derotator is used to compensate for the rotation. A CCD camera is used to record two holograms with a short time separation (20 mus). Results of deformations between the recordings are obtained after subtraction of the phase distribution between the two digital holograms. Fringe phase maps of the phase subtraction of two holograms compensated by the derotator and recorded with a Q-switched double-pulsed ruby laser are presented. A flat disk and the blades of a fan were investigated. We used an optical arrangement that allowed us to improve laser illumination and energy efficiency. Experimental results on quantitative evaluation of dynamical out-of-plane deformations are presented.  相似文献

Recent developments in computer algorithms, image sensors, and microfabrication technologies make it possible to digitize the whole process of classical holography. This technique, referred to as digitized holography, allows us to create fine spatial three-dimensional (3D) images composed of virtual and real objects. In the technique, the wave field of real objects is captured in a wide area and at very high resolution using the technique of synthetic aperture digital holography. The captured field is incorporated in virtual 3D scenes including two-dimensional digital images and 3D polygon mesh objects. The synthetic field is optically reconstructed using the technique of computer-generated holograms. The reconstructed 3D images present all depth cues like classical holograms but are digitally editable, archivable, and transmittable unlike classical holograms. The synthetic hologram printed by a laser lithography system has a wide viewing zone in full-parallax and give viewers a strong sensation of depth, which has never been achieved by conventional 3D systems. A real hologram as well as the details of the technique is presented to verify the proposed technique.  相似文献

An endoscope is used in pulsed digital holography to simultaneously evaluate in-plane and out- of-plane transient and harmonic displacements on a flat metallic plate. The plate is illuminated from two different directions. The optical path for each illumination direction is matched to its corresponding reference beam, but also in such a way that each object-reference beam pair optical path is mismatched such that they are incoherent and can be stored in a single CCD frame. As is typical in these types of interferometric arrangement, two digital holograms are needed to compare two different states of the plate. Each hologram is Fourier transformed and due to the incoherence introduced, two separate spectra are readily identified, each belonging to an object-reference beam pair. On comparing by subtraction the phase obtained from the two pulsed digital holograms, it is possible to gather quantitative in-plane and out-of- plane results from transient and harmonic displacements.  相似文献

The process of second harmonic generation (SHG) has a unique property of forming a sharp optical contrast between noncentrosymmetric crystalline materials and other types of material, which is a highly valuable asset for contrast microscopy. The coherent signal obtained through SHG also allows for the recording of holograms at high spatial and temporal resolution, enabling whole-field four-dimensional microscopy for highly dynamic microsystems and nanosystems. Here we describe a new holographic principle, harmonic holography (H(2)), which records holograms between independently generated second harmonic signals and reference. We experimentally demonstrate this technique with digital holographic recording of second harmonic signals upconverted from an ensemble of second harmonic generating nanocrystal clusters under femtosecond laser excitation. Our results show that harmonic holography is uniquely suited for ultrafast four-dimensional contrast microscopy.  相似文献

A method for whole-field noncontact measurement of displacement, velocity, and acceleration of a vibrating object based on image-plane digital holography is presented. A series of digital holograms of a vibrating object are captured by use of a high-speed CCD camera. The result of the reconstruction is a three-dimensional complex-valued matrix with noise. We apply Fourier analysis and windowed Fourier analysis in both the spatial and the temporal domains to extract the displacement, the velocity, and the acceleration. The instantaneous displacement is obtained by temporal unwrapping of the filtered phase map, whereas the velocity and acceleration are evaluated by Fourier analysis and by windowed Fourier analysis along the time axis. The combination of digital holography and temporal Fourier analyses allows for evaluation of the vibration, without a phase ambiguity problem, and smooth spatial distribution of instantaneous displacement, velocity, and acceleration of each instant are obtained. The comparison of Fourier analysis and windowed Fourier analysis in velocity and acceleration measurements is also presented.  相似文献

The amount of displacement of a diffused object can be measured using phase-shifting digital holography with a polarization imaging camera. Four digital holograms in quadrature are extracted from the polarization imaging camera and used to calculate the phase hologram. Two Fourier transforms of the phase holograms are calculated before and after the displacement of the object. A phase slope is subsequently obtained from the phase distribution of division between the two Fourier transforms. The slope of the phase distribution is proportional to the lateral displacement of the object. The sensitivity is less than one pixel size in the lateral direction of the movement. The longitudinal component of the displacement can be also measured separately from the intercept on the phase axis along the phase distribution of the division between two Fourier transforms of the phase holograms.  相似文献

Digital holography appears to be a strong contender as the next-generation technology for holographic diagnostics of particle fields and holographic particle image velocimetry for flow field measurement. With the digital holographic approach, holograms are directly recorded by a digital camera and reconstructed numerically. This not only eliminates wet chemical processing and mechanical scanning, but also enables the use of complex amplitude information inaccessible by optical reconstruction, thereby allowing flexible reconstruction algorithms to achieve optimization of specific information. However, owing to the inherently low pixel resolution of solid-state imaging sensors, digital holography gives poor depth resolution for images, a problem that severely impairs the usefulness of digital holography especially in densely populated particle fields. This paper describes a technique that significantly improves particle axial-location accuracy by exploring the reconstructed complex amplitude information, compared with other numerical reconstruction schemes that merely mimic traditional optical reconstruction. This novel method allows accurate extraction of particle locations from forward-scattering particle holograms even at high particle loadings.  相似文献

TV holograms for spatial phase stepping are formed with a small angular offset between the object and the reference beams to give a spatial frequency bias to the pattern recorded by the TV camera. It is common to set the bias so that there is a 90° or 120°phase shift between adjacent pixels and to use the irradiance of three or more adjacent pixels to evaluate the phase of the interference. We report the Fourier-transform evaluation of such recordings to obtain their phase data. We also demonstrate the direct calculation of the phase difference between successive recordings without intermediate calculation of the random phase of each hologram. This technique is proposed as an approach to pulsed TV holography.  相似文献

Digital holograms are recorded of biological tissues by use of a Q-switched double-pulsed ruby laser. An image-plane digital holography setup is used with a CCD camera for capturing two holograms with a short time separation (20-800 mus). Subtraction of the phase distribution in two digital holograms yield a fringe phase map that shows the change in deformation of the tissue surface between the recordings. Experiments are performed on tissue from a pig that was excited by a short-shock pulse and on a human hand that was excited by sinusoidal stimulation. Results when the object is imaged through an endoscope are also presented. The technique could be an approach for measuring parameters like elasticity on biological tissues.  相似文献

Digital holography and comparative digital holography are applications that require computer-addressable modulators for the optical reconstruction of digital holograms. The quality of the reconstructed holograms depends on the modulator's properties. Therefore a characterization of the modulators is required. We show the result of a modulator characterization and the modulator's influence on the quality of the reconstructed hologram. We then compare qualitatively and quantitatively the optical reconstruction of phase and amplitude holograms by considering their level of detail and their diffraction efficiency.  相似文献

A method for deformation analysis and shape measurement based on digital holography is presented. Two wavelengths, 694 and 347 nm, are used. The object is illuminated with the two wavelengths at the same time, and digital holograms are recorded on a CCD chip. The information corresponding to the two wavelengths is separated in the Fourier domain, and the phase corresponding to the wave fronts is calculated. By recording holograms with two different wavelengths at the same time, we can get measurements of deformations or shape with different sensitivities. Experimental results are presented.  相似文献

为了消除相移误差对数字全息中再现像的像质的影响,本文时单次相移数字全息进行了研究.基于相位统计特性,提出了一种有效消除相移误差的新方法,该方法能够对任意未知相移量进行提取,并利用数字全息图所有抽样点的强度偏差之和作为评价标准,通过逐步改变计算得到的初始相移值来寻找正确的实际相移角.计算机模拟得到了很好的再现结果,证明了该方法的可行性和有效性.  相似文献

Abstract:  This paper presents methods for vibration analysis using digital Fresnel holography. Methods are based on time averaging for forced oscillations and pulsed recording devoted to auto-oscillations. The two methods are applied to a clarinet reed. In the forced oscillation regime, the reed is excited by an acoustic wave with controlled frequency and amplitude such that the reconstructed holograms exhibit resolvable Bessel fringes. In the case of the auto-oscillation regime, the reed is placed in an artificial mouth. Deformation of the clarinet reed can be extracted with the recording of 3150 pulsed digital holograms. Experimental results show the vibration behaviour of the clarinet reed under forced and auto-oscillation regimes, exhibiting the modal structures and high amplitude shocks.  相似文献

Digital holography is an imaging technique that enables recovery of topographic 3D information about an object under investigation. In digital holography, an interference pattern is recorded on a digital camera. Therefore, quantization of the recorded hologram is an integral part of the imaging process. We study the influence of quantization error in the recorded holograms on the fidelity of both the intensity and phase of the reconstructed image. We limit our analysis to the case of lensless Fourier off-axis digital holograms. We derive a theoretical model to predict the effect of quantization noise and we validate this model using experimental results. Based on this, we also show how the resultant noise in the reconstructed image, as well as the speckle that is inherent in digital holography, can be conveniently suppressed by standard speckle reduction techniques. We show that high-quality images can be obtained from binary holograms when speckle reduction is performed.  相似文献

Dynamic optical reconstruction of digital binary holograms projected on optically addressed liquid crystal spatial light modulators with the use of a computer driven multimedia projector is described. A high spatial resolution, sensitivity and full reversibility of the manufactured spatial light modulators are achieved by the use of a photoconducting PVK:TNF polymer layer serving as a transducer of incoming light intensity pattern into modulation of refractive index inside the adjacent LC layer. Linearly polarized laser light reconstructs the phase holograms at the video rate. The advantages and drawbacks of the presented system are discussed.  相似文献

A novel method for multi-plane imaging in digital holography is proposed: holograms of objects located at various places are recorded and then reconstructed simultaneously through one-step Fresnel diffraction using the quadratic distorted phase factor (QDPF). The theory of one-step Fresnel diffraction with the QDPF is deduced and experimental results support the theoretical investigation.  相似文献

A method for numerical reconstruction of digitally recorded holograms with variable magnification is presented. The proposed strategy allows for smaller, equal, or larger magnification than that achieved with Fresnel transform by introducing the Bluestein substitution into the Fresnel kernel. The magnification is obtained independent of distance, wavelength, and number of pixels, which enables the method to be applied in color digital holography and metrological applications. The approach is supported by experimental and simulation results in digital holography of objects of comparable dimensions with the recording device and in the reconstruction of holograms from digital in-line holographic microscopy.  相似文献

利用最高空间频率分析法,通过逐点分析记录在 CCD 上的空间频率信息,研究了物体可允许记录的最大横向尺寸、最小记录距离、全息图的信息量、空间分辨力、再现像的横向分辨力、轴向分辨力及散斑大小,并得到了数学表达式。理论分析和实验结果表明,数字同轴全息系统放宽了对 CCD 分辨力的要求,有较高的分辨力,较低的散斑噪声、灵活、简单的系统结构及较高的 CCD 空间带宽利用率,在增强系统性能方面要优于数字离轴全息系统。这一研究为数字全息系统的设计和操作提供了一定的理论和实验指导。  相似文献

An optimal setup in the sense of imaging resolution for the Fresnel incoherent correlation holography (FINCH) system is proposed and analyzed. Experimental results of the proposed setup in reflection mode suffer from low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) due to a granular noise. SNR improvement is achieved by two methods that rely on increasing the initial amount of phase-shifted recorded holograms. In the first method, we average over several independent complex-valued digital holograms obtained by recording different sets of three digital phase-shifted holograms. In the second method, the least-squares solution for solving a system of an overdetermined set of linear equations is approximated by utilizing the Moore-Penrose pseudoinverse. These methods improve the resolution of the reconstructed image due to their ability to reveal fine and weak details of the observed object.  相似文献

A method for recording digital holograms on an image intensifier coupled with a CCD sensor is presented. The advantage of the image intensifier is that it can be gated (electronic shutter action produced by controlling of the image intensifier's photocathode voltage). This allows us to record holograms with a short exposure time. Two holograms of an object submitted to dynamical displacements (e.g., vibrations) are recorded by two short exposures. The phase of the wave front recorded at different times is calculated from the recorded intensity by use of a digital Fourier-transform method. By comparison of the phases recorded it is possible to get the displacement of the object during a short interval. Experimental results are presented, and the problems related to the noise and to the spatial resolution are discussed.  相似文献
