NiCrBSi and NiCrBSi/WC-Ni composite coatings were produced on pure Ti substrates by the laser cladding technology. Thermal gravimetric (TG) analysis was used to evaluate the high temperature oxidation resistance of the laser cladding coatings. The friction and wear behavior was tested through sliding against the Si3N4 ball at elevated temperatures of 300 °C and 500 °C. Besides, the morphologies of the worn surfaces and wear debris were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and three dimensional non-contact surface mapping. The results show that the microhardness, high temperature oxidation resistance and high temperature wear resistance of the pure Ti substrates are greatly increased. For the pure Ti substrate, the wear behavior is dominated by adhesive wear, abrasive wear and severe plastic deformation, while both laser cladding coatings, involving only mild abrasive and fatigue wear, are able to prevent the substrates from severe adhesion and abrasive wear. In particular, the laser cladding NiCrBSi/WC-Ni composite coating shows better high temperature wear resistance than the NiCrBSi coating, which is due to the formation of a hard WC phase in the composite coating.  相似文献

以39Mo-35Ni-26Si(w%)合金粉末为原料,采用激光熔覆技术,在1Cr18Ni9Ti不锈钢基材表面翩得以Mo2Ni3Si金属硅化物为初生相,以Mo2Ni3Si/NiSi共晶相为基体的金属硅化物耐磨复合材料涂层。涂层的常温干滑动磨损试验结果表明,在磨损过程中,Mo2Ni3Si/NiSi共晶相轻微地优先磨损,Mo2Ni3Si金属硅化物微微凸出于磨损表面,起到抗磨的骨干作用。由于Mo2Ni3Si金属硅化物具有很高的硬度和很强的原子间键合力,在磨损过程中难于变形和粘着,激光熔覆Mo2Ni3Si/NiSi金属硅化物复合材料涂层具有优异的耐磨性,与1Cr18Ni9Ti标样相比,涂层的耐磨性提高了56倍。  相似文献

钼对钴基合金激光熔覆层组织与耐磨性的影响   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
利用激光熔覆技术在低碳钢基体表面制备了钴基合金涂层.利用金相显微镜(OP)、扫描电镜(SEM)及x射线衍射仪(XRD)等研究了不同Mo元素含量的钴基合金涂层的组织结构;通过采用显微硬度试验、滑动磨损试验等方法进行性能测试.结果表明,含5.4%Mo的合金熔覆层主要组成相为γ-Co,Cr_(23)C_6,而含28%Mo的合金涂层主要相组成为γ-Co,Cr_(23)C_6,Co_3Mo_2Si_2和NiCor等相;含5.4%Mo涂层的组织主要为柱状生长树枝晶;含28%Mo单道涂层的结合区为紊乱的粗大树枝晶,中部为向上生长的细小的树枝晶,表层为细小的等轴晶,多道搭接涂层组织为细小的等轴晶;含28%Mo涂层的显微硬度可达800 HV以上,比含5.4%Mo涂层的硬度提高了一倍;耐磨性也有不同程度的提高.
Abstract:
Co-based alloy coatings with different Mo content (5.4% and 28 % ) on the surface of low carbon steel were prepared by laser cladding. The microstructure and phases composition of the coatings were investigated by means of optical microscope (OP), scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray diffraction instrument (XRD). Microhardness and sliding wear resistance of the coatings were also tested. The results indicated that the main phases in Co-based alloy coatings with 5.4%Mo were γ-Co and Cr_(23) C_6. Another two phases of Co_3 Mo_2 Si and NiCoCr were identified in Co-based alloy coatings with 28% Mo. Directional dendrite was observed in Co-based alloy coatings with 5.4% Mo. Unidirectional dendrite at the interface, followed by fine dendrite at the central zone and equiaxed grain near top surface were found in Co-based alloy single coatings with 28% Mo, and almost all fine equiaxed grains appear in the multi-track coatings. The microhardness of Co-bascd alloy coatings with 28% Mo reaches up to 800 HV, which was 2 times of that of Co-based alloy coatings with 5.4% Mo. The sliding wear resistance was also improved.  相似文献

Thermally sprayed molybdenum coatings are used in a variety of industrial applications, such as auto-motive piston rings, aeroturbine engines, and paper and plastics processing machinery. Molybdenum ex-hibits excellent scuffing resistance under sliding contact conditions. However, plasma-sprayed molybde-num coatings are relatively soft and require dispersion strengthening (e.g., Mo2C) or addition of a second phase (e.g., NiCrBSi) to improve hardness, wear resistance, and thus coating performance. In this study, Mo-Mo2C composite powders were plasma sprayed onto mild steel substrates. Considerable decarburi-zation was observed during air plasma spraying—a beneficial condition because carbon acts as a sacrifi-cial getter for the oxygen, thereby reducing the oxide content in the coating. Finer powders showed a greater degree of decarburization due to the increased surface area; however, the starting carbide con-tent in the powder exerted very little influence on the extent of decarburization. The friction properties of Mo-Mo2C coatings were significantly improved compared to those of pure molybdenum under con-tinuous sliding contact conditions. It also was found that the abrasion resistance of the coatings improved with increasing carbide addition.  相似文献

Low friction thermally sprayed polymer-steel coatings for high contact pressure rolling/sliding systems were developed using high-energy plasma spraying. Polymers were applied as a thermally sprayed thin film (75–100 μm) over a thicker (250–750 μm) thermally sprayed steel coating. Twin roller rolling/sliding tests were performed at 5 and 35% creep and contact loads of 1700 N on a 5 mm contact face. A lower coefficient of friction (0.10–0.15) with increased durability, compared with that of an AISI 1080 steel thermally sprayed coating (coefficient of friction of 0.46), was observed under these rolling-sliding contact conditions. The polymer’s ability to control friction and wear stems from the mechanical anchoring of the polymer film to the rough surface of the steel coating. The polymer film was characterized by scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared analysis.  相似文献

通过在激光熔覆NiCrBSi涂层(Ni60)中添加钽(Ta)元素来提高900℃热处理后涂层的耐磨性.研究了900℃热处理对激光熔覆NiCrBSi和钽强化NiCrBSi复合涂层显微组织、硬度以及耐磨性能的影响.利用带能谱仪的扫描电镜和衍射仪分析涂层的显微组织和物相.通过盘-销实验评价涂层的耐磨性.结果表明:经过900℃热处理后涂层中的M7C3和M23C6发生了分解,钽强化复合涂层和纯NiCrBSi涂层中的硬度都有所下降,但由于复合涂层中原位生成的TaC未发生分解,使得其硬度和耐磨性都高于纯NiCrBSi涂层.  相似文献

Cr-Al-Si-N coatings with high and low Cr/Al ratios (CrAlSiN and AlCrSiN, respectively) were deposited on WC substrates by cathodic arc and compared with a reference Cr-Al-N coating. The silicon content was close to 3 at.%. X-ray diffraction analysis showed that CrAlN and CrAlSiN coatings exhibited the cubic Cr(Al)N structure, whereas in AlCrSiN a mixture of cubic Cr(Al)N and wurtzite-type AlN was identified. All three coatings showed excellent thermal stability and oxidation resistance up to 800 °C. The tribological properties were evaluated by ball-on-disk tribometer in the temperature range 25-600 °C. Two materials were used as counterparts: alumina and 440C steel. Sliding against 440C steel balls led to the extensive wear of the balls and transfer of the ball material to the surface of the coatings. The coatings were not damaged. When sliding against alumina balls, the coating wear was low up to testing temperature 300 °C. At 400 °C, CrAlSiN coating was partially worn through. CrAlN and AlCrSiN coatings were almost immediately worn out at 600 °C. The analysis of the wear debris identified high-temperature adhesive failure of the coatings.  相似文献

内孔等离子喷涂Ni45-15%Mo涂层与38CrMoAl渗氮层耐磨性研究   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
采用内孔等离子喷涂技术在内径矿150mm的发动机气缸套内表面38CrMoAl基体上,在开放条件下制备Ni45—15%Mo涂层,并与缸套内表面渗氮硬层,在边界润滑条件下进行了环块滑动摩擦磨损对比试验。对内孔喷枪的粒子飞行速度进行了在线监测研究,对喷涂层与渗氮层的显微组织、显微硬度、结合强度对耐磨性的影响进行了分析。结果表明,38CrMoAl基上内孔等离子喷涂层与渗氮层相比磨损量减小0.3mg,摩擦因数减小0.02,涂层摩擦偶件表面榀伤小于渗氛层偶件.涂层综合麾檫学件能优干渗氛层。  相似文献

Titanium carbide-based coatings have been considered for use in sliding wear resistance applications. Carbides embedded in a metal matrix would improve wear properties, providing a noncontinuous ceramic surface. TiC-Fe coatings obtained by plasma spraying of spray-dried TiC-Fe composite powders containing large and angular TiC particles are not expected to be as resistant as those containing TiC particles formed upon spraying. Coatings containing 60 vol% TiC dispersed in a steel matrix deposited by plasma spraying reactive micropellets, sintered reactive micropellets, and spray-dried TiC-Fe composite powders are compared. The sliding wear resistance of these coatings against steel was measured following the test procedure recommended by the Versailles Advanced Materials and Standards (VAMAS) program, and the inherent surface porosity was evaluated by image analysis. Results show that, after a 1-km sliding distance, TiC-Fe coatings obtained after spraying sintered reactive powders exhibit scar ring three times less deep than sprayed coatings using spray-dried TiC-Fe composite powders. For all coatings considered, porosity is detrimental to wear performance, because it generally lowers the coating strength and provides cavities that favor the adhesion of metal. However, porosity can have a beneficial effect by entrapping debris, thus reducing friction. The good wear behavior of TiC-Fe coatings manufactured by plasma spraying of sintered reactive powders is related to their low coefficient of friction against steel. This is due to the microstructure of these coatings, which consists of 0.3 to 1 μm TiC rounded particles embedded in a steel matrix. The corrosion and wear behaviour of HVOF (high velocity oxygen fuel) sprayed WC-CoCr (cermet) coatings were investigated before and after electron beam (EB) remelting. In this regard, the coatings were deposited on INCONEL 617 substrate. The mentioned Ni-based alloy is well known for its good corrosion behaviour in chloride containing media but exhibits not enough good wear properties.The paper investigates the influence of EB-remelting process on sliding wear respectively on corrosion resistance in 1 M NaCl solution of the alloyed surface. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) were performed before respectively after the EB-treatment in order to investigate the coating morphology as well as the phase modification achieved through the alloying process. Tribological tests concerning the sliding wear behaviour of the tested materials revealed a significant decrease of the wear rate for both the as-sprayed coating respectively the alloyed surface in comparison with the base material. However, the as-sprayed cermet coating exhibits the lowest wear rate among the investigated samples.The microhardness of the alloyed surface was higher (1100 HV03) in comparison with that of the as-sprayed cermet coating (905 HV03) as a result of new phase formation (especially the η-Co4W2C). The corrosion behaviour in salt water of the EB remelted surface was also considerably improved in contrast to the as-sprayed cermet coating.  相似文献
