本文讨论了以工业葡萄糖液;啤酒废水及酒糟废液为基质、采用一相两相厌氧工艺连续及间歇运行的试验结果。表明相分离能通过调节厌氧生态系统中各种生物群体的相对数量,强化污泥活性及运行稳定性,两相厌氧工艺特别适宜于处理高浓度(有机负荷决定反应器运行)溶解性有机废水。  相似文献

The brewing industry is a large consumer of groundwater for brewing, rinsing and cooling purposes. As regulations become more and more stringent and the cost of water increases, water recycling gains interest. This paper investigates the possibilities of nanofiltration for the treatment of brewery waste water streams in view of recycling. Four different water streams (waste water after biological treatment, bottle rinsing water, rinsing water of the brewing room and rinsing water of the bright beer reservoir) were filtered with four different nanofiltration membranes (UTC-20, UTC-60, Desal-HL-51 and Desal-5-DK). The results for the biologically treated waste water were the most promising. For the other streams, rejection of organics was insufficient to obtain the required quality, mainly due to the high concentrations of organics such as ethanol in the feed water. Over the periods considered (3 h) only moderate flux decline (10-40%) was observed for most membranes and feed solutions. For Desal-5-DK at high pH, an increase of the flux was observed.  相似文献

The ozonation of water is widely used within the drinking-water industry. The improvement of the performance of the Barcombe water-treatment works is envisaged. An ozonation stage and granular activated carbon filtration are being considered as an addition to the existing plant. As part of the investigation work, the influence of ozone on bromate formation was studied using a 3 m3/h pilot plant. The bromate production was found to depend upon (a) the applied ozone dose, (b) the contact period, and (c) the pH.
Using ozone in an appropriate way will be of benefit to the treatment process as well as meeting the new World Health Organization health guidelines for drinking water.  相似文献

In recent years, semiconductor photocatalytic process has shown a great potential as a low-cost, environmental friendly and sustainable treatment technology to align with the “zero” waste scheme in the water/wastewater industry. The ability of this advanced oxidation technology has been widely demonstrated to remove persistent organic compounds and microorganisms in water. At present, the main technical barriers that impede its commercialisation remained on the post-recovery of the catalyst particles after water treatment.This paper reviews the recent R&D progresses of engineered-photocatalysts, photoreactor systems, and the process optimizations and modellings of the photooxidation processes for water treatment. A number of potential and commercial photocatalytic reactor configurations are discussed, in particular the photocatalytic membrane reactors. The effects of key photoreactor operation parameters and water quality on the photo-process performances in terms of the mineralization and disinfection are assessed. For the first time, we describe how to utilize a multi-variables optimization approach to determine the optimum operation parameters so as to enhance process performance and photooxidation efficiency. Both photomineralization and photo-disinfection kinetics and their modellings associated with the photocatalytic water treatment process are detailed. A brief discussion on the life cycle assessment for retrofitting the photocatalytic technology as an alternative waste treatment process is presented. This paper will deliver a scientific and technical overview and useful information to scientists and engineers who work in this field.  相似文献

Coagulation caused by electrolytically produced ions (electrocoagulation) followed by filtration has been studied as a possible alternative to the conventional coagulation process. Electrochemical processes have been used in water and wastewater treatment since 1887. Electrocoagulation is looked upon as an interesting process in use at small water treatment plants. There are several important design aspects of this process which deserve further study.This study presents results showing the correlation between the current density and the aluminium dosing and provides results showing the necessary overpotential. The process has proved efficient with regard to removal of aquatic humus. A comparison of this method with conventional coagulation shows that the aquatic humus is removed equally well with both methods.Conventionally coagulated water (using alum) contains higher concentrations of sulphate and thus has a higher specific conductivity than the electrochemically treated water. The electrochemically treated water contains higher residual aluminium concentrations than the conventionally treated water due to the higher pH values.  相似文献

This paper examines the process of change and concentration within the private-sector housebuilding industry over the past 15 years, and assesses the implications for the production of new housing in terms of standard house types. Changes in the housebuilding industry are analysed utilising secondary data, based upon annual dwelling completions, focusing upon firms producing in excess of 1000 dwelling units per annum. Problems associated both with the adequate classification of firms and of constructing typologies are commented upon. It is concluded that the process of concentration observed in the 1970s has continued at an accelerating pace, and that the housebuilding industry is now dominated by large firms which have a predominantly specialised character to an extent not hitherto observed in post-war Britain. The implications for one aspect of standardisationin production-the utilisation of standard house types-are assessed by means of a national questionnaire of housebuilding firms. Analysis based upon large housebuilding firms confirms a more extensive use of standard house types than hitherto, with consumer flexibility restricted to internal non-structural features rather than external aspects of the dwelling. Provisional reasons for the expansion of standard house types are adduced, and related to the changing structure of the housebuilding industry.  相似文献
