A washland can effectively reduce peak flow of a high flow event at a certain location. A number of washlands located in a basin influence each other's hydrological function, and hence, their hydrological role should be evaluated from a river network perspective. Here, we present an approach to determine optimal locations of constructed washlands in a basin, considering their mutual effect. The problem is formulated as a multiobjective problem with maximizing peak flow reduction effect as one objective and minimizing the total volume of washlands, which is associated with cost, as another. By simplifying modelling algorithm for hydrological routing, we show that consideration of all possible cases is feasible for the situation of a typical basin. This approach guarantees global optimum and shows a full spectrum of Pareto front, which will help decision‐makers in problems of multiple objective functions. The proposed approach is demonstrated for the Anseong River basin.  相似文献

The ship lift at the Three‐Gorges‐Dam in China – Construction of the world's largest elevator With a total height of 169 m, a maximal lifting height of 113 m and moved masses of approx. 33 000 t, the ship lift at the Three‐Gorges‐Dam in China will be the largest of its kind worldwide. The entire structure is nearing completion. Operational testing started in 2015. Located parallel to the existing fully operating five stage ship lock at the 2,3 km long barrage, the ship‐lift consists of four RC towers. A steely, water filled ship chamber with 132 m length, 23 m width and 10,5 m height will lift ships with a max. water displacement of 3 000 t. The construction gains its flexibility from an innovative combination of structural and mechanical parts. Since 2008 the ship lift structure was erected by climbing formwork. Due to the tolerances demanded by the embedded parts of the mechanical drive system, a special procedure of 1st and 2nd stage concrete and grouting had to be developed. The article describes the structural aspects of the project with focus on the execution.  相似文献

New BAW Code of Practice for the assessment of the load bearing capacity of existing solid hydraulic structures Many of Germany's solid hydraulic structures, i. e. structures made from concrete, reinforced concrete or masonry, are of above‐average age. For example, about a third of all locks for which the Federal Waterways and Shipping Administration (WSV) is responsible is more than a hundred years old. In other words they have exceeded the design lifetime of 100 years that is nowadays the requirement for such structures. Not only existing locks, but also numerous weirs and canal bridges show static characteristics, such as construction methods or very large cross sections, that are no longer common practice today. If any alterations are made to these structures, or if they exhibit visible damage, it is essential to re‐assess the statics of the supporting structure and perform new calculations to verify its conformity with stability requirements. This re‐assessment can be done with a new BAW‐Code of Practice „TbW”. In contrast to bridges and buildings, no adapted regulations have been released until now for re‐assessing the statics of existing solid hydraulic structures.  相似文献
