Codierte Modulation in modernen Übertragungssystemen

Modern communication systems offer high speed and reliable data transmission services. The quality of these services is achieved by combining coded multi-level modulation techniques and modern digital signal processing (Viterbi-decoding) in the receiver. In this paper we first present an introduction to Trellis Coded Modulation (TCM) and then some new results on unversal techniques adapted for the AWGN-channel as well as for the fading channel. It is shown that TCM is well suited for communication channels with time variant characteristics (e.g. mobile communication channels), especially when our new codes are applied.

An AR based fast mode decision for H.265/HEVC intra coding

As a critical technique to raise coding efficiency in H.265/HEVC (H.265/High Efficiency Video Coding), the number of prediction modes for intra coding is much larger than that in H.264/AVC. However, the large number of prediction modes also leads to high complexity. In this paper, an AR (Auto Regression) based fast mode decision method for H.265/HEVC intra coding is proposed, including an AR based fast mode selection and an MPM (Most Probable Mode) joint fast mode selection method. Considering the correlation between SATD (Sum of Absolute Transformed Differences) cost and RD (Rate-Distortion) cost, we establish a selective function controlled by an adaptive parameter which is acquired by an AR model. According to the distribution of the SATD cost, the selective function can decide which modes can be discarded and which modes can be used for the FMD (Fine Mode Decision). In addition, in order to further reduce the number of candidate modes for FMD, an MPM joint fast mode selection method is presented based on the relationship between MPMs and candidate modes. Experimental results show that just in PU layer, the proposed AR based fast intra mode decision method can save encoding time by 32 % with negligible coding loss in all-intra main configuration compared to the intra mode decision of HM13.0.

本文提出一种对系统电压稳定进行详细仿真的方法，此方法考虑了系统及负荷动态的影响，诸如系统干扰、电动机力矩及滑差，变压器抽头的的换接、坚持Ｐ、Ｑ需要的负荷、抑制励磁以防止发电机过热，以及有电压偏移负反馈的ＳＶＣ等。由于是高阶次的非线性全模，作者采用一种既精确又快速的方法来进行积分，还应用了一种毋需经过亢介次矩阵求逆就可便捷地求解亢介次Ｊａｃｏｂｉ阵的方法。

The liberalization of the electricity and telecommunications markets has paved the way for harnessing existing electricity supply networks to transfer data from the low-voltage transformer station right through to every mains socket in a building. Powerline communication (PLC) allows for coupling power supply with data transmission. The modulation or demodulation calls for state-of-the-art, fast chip technologies as well as algorithms. According to powerline companies, the first generation of products is to be launched in the year 2001. Further development of this system depends completely on the regulation of the respective frequency levels. If regulatory measures and the market were to favor powerline technology, electric utility companies could come to play a role as telecom providers.     

Soft eigenvalue assignment with limited disturbance feedforward and state controller norm

The method of softly assigning eigenvalues is attractive for design problems where constraining the control effort and disturbance feedforward is more important than following the exact pole location.     

Finite-Elemente-Analyse einer Transversalflussmaschine

An efficient and resource saving method to generate the different angular rotor positions of a transverse flux machine with a 3D finite element model is presented. The calculations are performed with the superelement analysis of the EMAS solver. From the magnetostatic results the torque-position relationships and the stray field energy in the rotor shaft are evaluated in the steady state condition for different values of the excitation current.
