Simultaneous photocatalytic hydrogen production and CO2 reduction (to form CO and CH4) from water using methanol as a hole scavenger were investigated using silver-modified TiO2 (Ag/TiO2) nanocomposite catalysts. A simple ultrasonic spray pyrolysis (SP) method was used to prepare mesoporous Ag/TiO2 composite particles using TiO2 (P25) and AgNO3 as the precursors. The material properties and photocatalytic activities were compared with those prepared by a conventional wet-impregnation (WI) method. It was found that the samples prepared by the SP method had a larger specific surface area and a better dispersion of Ag nanoparticles on TiO2 than those prepared by the WI method, and as a result, the SP samples showed much higher photocatalytic activities toward H2 production and CO2 reduction. The optimal Ag concentration on TiO2 was found to be 2 wt%. The H2 production rate of the 2% Ag/TiO2–SP sample exhibited a six-fold enhancement compared with the 2% Ag/TiO2–WI sample and a sixty-fold enhancement compared with bare TiO2. The molar ratio of H2 and CO in the final products can be tuned in the range from 2 to 10 by varying the reaction gas composition, suggesting a viable way of producing syngas (a mixture of H2 and CO) from CO2 and water using the prepared Ag/TiO2 catalysts with energy input from the sun. 相似文献

Inverted organic photovoltaic devices with a structure of fluorine tin oxide (FTO)/ZnO/poly(3-hexylthiophene) (P3HT):[6,6]-phenyl C61 butyric acid methyl ester (PCBM)/Ag were fabricated, in which ZnO interlayer serves as an electron selective layer. The ZnO interlayer includes three different nanostructures: polycrystalline seed layer, polycrystalline seed layer/loose nanopillars and polycrystalline seed layer/dense nanopillars. The influences of the different ZnO interlayers on the device performance were investigated. It is concluded that the polycrystalline seed layer/loose nanopillars offer more interfacial area with the P3HT:PCBM blends and acts as a continuous conducting path to the cathode. Our results demonstrate that effective infiltration of the blends into the ZnO nanopillars is critical for optimizing the device performance. 相似文献

Natively textured surface aluminum-doped zinc oxide (ZnO:Al) layers for thin film solar cells were directly deposited without any surface treatments via pulsed direct-current reactive magnetron sputtering on glass substrates. Such an in-situ texturing method for sputtered ZnO:Al thin films has the advantages of efficiently reducing production costs and dramatically saving time in photovoltaic industrial processing. High purity metallic Zn-Al (purity: 99.999%, Al 2.0 wt.%) target and oxygen (purity: 99.999%) were used as source materials. During the reactive sputtering process, the oxygen gas flow rate was controlled using plasma emission monitoring. The performance of the textured surface ZnO:Al transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) thin films can be modified by changing the number of deposition rounds (i.e. thin-film thicknesses). The initially milky ZnO:Al TCO thin films deposited at a substrate temperature of ~ 553 K exhibit rough crater-like surface morphology with high transparencies (T ~ 80-85% in visible range) and excellent electrical properties (ρ ~ 3.4 × 10− 4 Ω cm). Finally, the textured-surface ZnO:Al TCO thin films were preliminarily applied in pin-type silicon thin film solar cells. 相似文献
