Effect of structure on the properties of polyurethanes based on aromatic cardanol-based polyols prepared by thiol-ene coupling

Industrial-grade cardanol and 2-mercaptoethanol were reacted to generate hydroxyl-functionalized cardanol by UV, free-radical-initiated thiol-ene coupling between the double bond moieties of the cardanol long carbon side chain and thiol functional groups. The average hydroxyl number of the hydroxyl-functionalized cardanol was controlled by reaction time, with the hydroxyl values of this ranging within 168–201 mg KOH g⁻¹. This cardanol was then used as a polyol to prepare cardanol-based polyurethane with hexamethylene diisocyanate and a NCO/OH ratio of 1. To compare the effect of cardanol-based polyols with the properties of cardanol-based polyurethane, cardanol modified with 10-undecylenate was used as a raw material to prepare cardanol-based polyols, including the long carbon chain of 10-undecylenate. All properties were examined, and data revealed that cardanol-based polyols including this long carbon chain can improve the hydrophobic and mechanic properties of the cardanol-based polyurethane.     

Elucidation of colour development and microstructural characteristics of Allium sativum fumigated with acetic acid

It has been well known that the greening of Allium sativum cloves could be formed after immersed in acetic acid solution. Nonetheless, no investigation was reported on colour development of A. sativum in response to acetic acid vapour until now. In this study, the brief exposure of A. sativum to acetic acid vapour (200–400 ppm) was combined with controlled atmosphere (5%, 20% and 80% CO₂) packaging storage to break cell membrane and green garlic. The garlic bulbs were fumigated with acetic acid before controlled CO₂ atmosphere packaging for 25 days at 4 °C. Fumigation with 200 ppm acetic acid followed by high CO₂ atmosphere packaging (80% CO₂) facilitated the garlic greening. It was also verified that γ‐glutamyl transpeptidase was involved in garlic greening in present study, and the compromise of glacial acetic acid vapour fumigation and CO₂ gas atmosphere in package stored at low temperature could result in garlic greening as well.     

A novel utilized method of tar derived from biomass gasification for fabricating binder-free all-solid-state hybrid supercapacitors

As an industrial pollutant, tar derived from biomass gasification is used as the precursor for fabricating a novel carbon-metal hydroxides composite electrode. A slurry (the mixture of tar, KOH and melamine) is daubed uniformly onto the nickel foam, which is directly carbonized to form NPC@LDH electrode material. This electrode is further coated with NiCo-LDH nanosheets using an electrodeposition method to form NF@NPC@LDH. The newly made NF@NPC@LDH electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 9.6 F cm⁻² at a current density of 2 mA cm⁻² and good rate performance (55.3% retention). Furthermore, a hybrid NF@NPC@LDH//NF@PC all-solid-state supercapacitor is fabricated, and the device exhibits high energy density of 1.28 mWh cm⁻³ at a power density of 8.04 mW cm⁻³, low resistance and good cycling stability.     

Monitoring unit root and multiple structural changes: An information criterion approach

An information criterion-based model selection method is proposed for monitoring unit root and multiple structural changes. In this method, a battery of possible models is considered by changing the integration order (I(0) or I(1)) and the combinations of change points. Next, the best model is selected from among alternative models via a modified Bayesian information criterion (BIC). Accordingly, on the basis of the selected model, the process that generates the observed time series is determined. The BIC is modified in order to adjust the frequency count of incorrectly selecting stationary models via the conventional BIC. The simulation results of monitoring unit root and structural change suggest that the proposed method outperforms the conventional hypothesis testing method in terms of detection accuracy and detection speed. Furthermore, the empirical results suggest that the proposed method exhibits better performances with regard to detection stability and forecastability.     

The ability of eye-tracking metrics to classify and predict the perceived driving workload

Traffic safety is directly related to the mental and physical condition of the driver. Performing regular secondary tasks while driving is an additional activity that dissipates attention and adds to the drivers' workload. Identifying driver fatigue and workload based on gaze behavior is one way to ensure a safe driving experience. The purpose of this paper is to classify and predict driving perceived workload using a set of eye-tracking metrics (gaze fixation, duration, pointing, and pupil diameter). The ability of eye-tracking metrics to predict driving workload has been investigated. As a result, frustration, performance, and temporal load showed a correlation with gaze metrics. Gaze point, duration, fixation, and pupil diameter significantly influence driving workload.Relevance to industry: Results will supply the specialists in eye-tracking/sensor technologies and traffic safety with new knowledge to improve the design of the driving performance and safety monitoring systems and efficiency of the driving process.     

一种林业手持式多功能测树仪设计

针对森林调查对便携式测量设备自动化和集成化的需求,设计了一种集测高器、角规和标准蓄积量计算功能于一体,具有测量、数据存储、计算等多种功能的手持式多功能电子测树仪GForest。该仪器通过采样控制算法实现对测高器防抖动设计,采用计数器存储并控制角规计数结果,提供USB接口同PC和移动智能终端设备进行数据共享,旨在解决目前森林地面调查数据采集硬件设备信息化与数据采集软件发展不同步的问题,大幅减少了外业调查中手工数据记录和录入的工作,提高了野外数据采集的效率。经实测验证:GForest测得的立木高度与实际值的平均误差为4%,与进口同类设备精度持平,同时还具有角规绕测计数与控制等实用功能,且具有明显的成本优势,适合在行业内推广应用。     

A dinuclear copper(II) complex and a zigzag chain iron(II) polymer based on the 4-antipyrine derived Schiff base ligands: The hydroxylation and redox occurred under the solvothermal conditions

A new dinuclear copper(II) compound, [Cu₂(L1-O)₂] (1) (L1 = (4E)-4-(2-hydroxybenzylideneamino)-1,2-dihydro-2,3-dimethyl-1-phenylpyrazol-5-one), and zigzag chain polymer, {[FeCl₂(L2)]}_n (2) (L2 = 1,5-dimethyl-2-phenyl-4-{[(1E)-pyridine-4-ylmethylene]amino}-1,2-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one), were synthesized by solvothermal reactions and structurally characterized. The methyl group hydroxylation and the redox have been observed in the preparation of 1 and 2, respectively.     

餐厨垃圾发酵生产乳酸的工艺优化

为提高餐厨垃圾发酵生产乳酸的效率,采用Plackett-Burman和中心复合两种统计试验方法对影响发酵的因素进行初筛和优化.Plackett-Burman实验的结果表明,影响乳酸发酵的正向显著性因素有乳酸菌TD175、糖化酶、吐温80、纤维素酶;灭菌是负显著性因素.通过中心复合试验设计,确定最佳发酵工艺:乳酸菌接种量6.6%,糖化酶160U/g,纤维素酶60U/g,吐温800.08%,温度45℃.最佳工艺条件下发酵40h,乳酸产量能达到66.13g/L,每克干垃圾产乳酸0.53g.餐厨垃圾的乳酸发酵无需灭菌、无需额外营养物,具有良好的经济效益和应用前景.     

基于改进策略树的防火墙策略审计方案设计与实现

防火墙在当今网络中起着不可或缺的作用,防火墙规则配置的合理与否直接关系到网络环境的安全.随着网络规模日益增大,防火墙配置也日趋复杂,为了更好的发挥防火墙的防护性能,防火墙策略审计应需而生.文章首先对防火墙规则之间的关系进行了详细研究,总结并分析了一些常见的规则异常种类,并对现有的策略审计方案进行了综述研究.其次,论述了防火墙策略审计系统整体的工作流程,层次化的分析了系统总体架构设计,对防火墙策略审计系统的配置规则审计模块进行了重点研究论述.再次,论述了传统的策略判定树审计方案,详细阐述了该方案的实现流程,分析并指出了该方案的优点以及所存在的不足.接下来提出一种以树形结构为基础改进后的策略审计方案,详细论述了该方案的审计流程并实现了改进的审计方案.最后结合该实现展示了系统的图形化报表以及详细审计结果,对改进后审计方案的审计结果与传统策略树进行了对比分析验证.
