Controlling mechanical systems with backlash—a survey

Backlash is one of the most important non-linearities that limit the performance of speed and position control in industrial, robotics, automotive, automation and other applications. The control of systems with backlash has been the subject of study since the 1940s. This survey reveals that surprisingly few control innovations have been presented since the early path breaking papers that introduced the describing function analysis of systems with backlash. Promising developments are however taking place using adaptive and non-linear control strategies.

Motor oil classification by base stock and viscosity based on near infrared (NIR) spectroscopy data

In this paper we have tried to build effective model for classification of motor oils by base stock and viscosity class. Three (3) sets of near infrared (NIR) spectra (1125, 1010, and 1050 spectra) were used for classification of motor oils into 3 or 4 classes according to their base stock (synthetic, semi-synthetic, and mineral), kinematic viscosity at low temperature (SAE 0W, 5W, 10W, and 15W) and kinematic viscosity at high temperature (SAE 20, 30, 40, and 50). The abilities of three (3) different classification methods: regularized discriminant analysis (RDA), soft independent modelling of class analogy (SIMCA), and multilayer perceptron (MLP) - were also compared. In all cases NIR spectroscopy was found to be quite effective for motor oil classification. MLP classification technique was found to be the most effective one.     

A globally stable discrete-time controller for current-fed induction motors

In this short paper we present a discrete-time field oriented controller (FOC) for current-fed induction motors which insures global asymptotic speed regulation as well as rotor flux norm tracking. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time such a result is rigorously established for a controller implemented in discrete-time. To insure global stability a condition on the reference for the rotor flux norm, which is time-varying, is imposed. This condition disappears as the sampling period goes to zero, hence allowing for independent speed regulation and rotor flux norm tracking. One important feature of our scheme is that, compared with the first-difference approximation of the classical indirect FOC, the additional computational burden is negligible. It is also shown that the result can easily be extended to the case of tracking time-varying references in speed or position.     

多陀螺自动化测试系统研究

针对动力调谐挠性陀螺大批量生产中存在的性能调试和参数标定工作量大的问题，我们专门研制了一套多陀螺自动化测试系统，该系统主要包括多陀螺真空恒温安装基准体、测控台、计算机程控自动化数据采集和仪器等部分，本文着重介绍该系统的组成原理，设计特点和研制成果。     

电动车制动能量再生反馈控制研究

研究了电动汽车制动过程中的能量回馈，设计了混合励磁无刷电动机在汽车制动过程的能量再生反馈控制系统。以脉宽调制调压调速系统为例，研究各种制动态下的能量回馈过程。并将其安装在EV6600电动汽车上进行试验，结果表明：该控制系统可达到10%左右的能量回收效率。     

小波分析在火箭发动机包覆质量检测中的应用

将小波分析方法应用到固体火箭发动机包覆层胶接质量检测中，利用小波分析的多分辨率特征，对超声检测信号的小波系数进行特征提取，从而获得包覆层胶接状态的灰度图像，图像效果很好，而且与试件情况基本吻合。     

镍-金刚石复合镀层修复磨损电动机主轴工艺

通过对380kW电动机磨损主轴失效原因的分析,提出了修复该零件的新工艺.采用镀覆特殊镍-Ni-金刚石复合镀层体系,提高了镀层与基体,镀层与工作层的结合力,增加了修复层的硬度,改善了主轴配合面的耐磨性,使修理质量得到了提高.
