Analysis of non-stationary electrochemical oscillations emerges utilization of the techniques allowing an observation of time evolution of their parameters such as instantaneous frequency, amplitude or frequency band. An algorithm of extraction of these parameters can be based on one of linear or quadratic time-frequency representations of oscillations record. In this paper, the authors present representatives of such transformations (Choi-Williams and Cone-shaped) originating from one of the most popular joint time-frequency energy distribution—Wigner-Ville distribution. Short introduction to the mathematics of the topic discussed is provided, then the authors present an example of application in the analysis of current oscillations of copper dissolution process.  相似文献

The notions of dynamical synchronization and adaptive dynamical synchronization problems are introduced. The algorithm solving adaptive synchronization problem for a subclass of Lurie systems with exciting input is proposed. The performance and potentialities of proposed solutions are demonstrated by two examples related to formation control and self‐organization of swarm systems. The effects of ultrasonic oscillations and die materials on die pressure, productivity of extrusion, melt viscosity of metallocene‐catalyzed linear low density polyethylene (mLLDPE), as well as their mechanism were studied in a special ultrasonic oscillations extrusion system developed in our lab. Die materials used in our experiment included steel, brass, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). The experimental results showed that ultrasonic oscillations as well as die materials have great influence on the rheological and processing behavior of mLLDPE. Ultrasonic oscillations can greatly increase the productivity of mLLDPE melt extruded through different dies, and can decrease the die pressure and the melt viscosity of mLLDPE. Compared with steel or brass die, mLLDPE melt extruded through PTFE die is more sensitive to ultrasonic oscillations. Trying to identify the mechanism(s) responsible for isothermal oscillatory behavior of heterogeneous catalytic reaction systems, many investigators have assumed low conversions with respect to the limiting reactant(s) so that the bulk phase concentrations of the reactants may be considered constant. In this study, it is shown that even in a differential catalytic CSTR, in which conversion of the reactants may be less than %, the changes of the gas phase concentrations of the reacting.species may play a key role in the overall dynamic behavior of a reaction system; for instance, they may drive the oscillations observed. The reduction of nitric oxide by ammonia on polycrystalline platinum is discussed in detail within this context. Several other oxidation reactions are also discussed  相似文献

Electrowetting-on-dielectric (EWOD) is now used in numerous microsystems like digital lab-on-chips. This paper deals with a characteristic hydrodynamic flow appearing in droplets actuated by EWOD with AC voltage. In the coplanar electrode configuration, two pairs of vortex flows are observed to form in a droplet centred on the electrode gap. All experiments are performed in oil as ambient phase and flows in the droplet are analysed using fluorescent beads. At the same time, droplet oscillations induced by AC EWOD are also revealed under stroboscopic lighting. These experiments show that vortex location can be controlled by frequency actuation with fair degree of reproducibility.  相似文献

Modern interconnected electrical power systems are complex and require perfect planning, design and operation. Hence the recent trends towards restructuring and deregulation of electric power supply has put great emphasis on the system operation and control. Flexible AC transmission system (FACTS) devices such as thyristor controlled series capacitor (TCSC) are capable of controlling power flow, improving transient stability and mitigating subsynchronous resonance (SSR). In this paper an adaptive neurocontroller is designed for controlling the firing angle of TCSC to damp subsynchronous oscillations. This control scheme is suitable for non-linear system control, where the exact linearised mathematical model of the system is not required. The proposed controller design is based on real time recurrent learning (RTRL) algorithm in which the neural network (NN) is trained in real time. This control scheme requires two sets of neural networks. The first set is a recurrent neural network (RNN) which is a fully connected dynamic neural network with all the system outputs fed back to the input through a delay. This neural network acts as a neuroidentifier to provide a dynamic model of the system to evaluate and update the weights connected to the neurons. The second set of neural network is the neurocontroller which is used to generate the required control signals to the thyristors in TCSC. This is a single layer neural network. Performance of the system with proposed neurocontroller is compared with two linearised controllers, a conventional controller and with a discrete linear quadratic Gaussian (DLQG) compensator which is an optimal controller. The linear controllers are designed based on a linearised model of the IEEE first benchmark system for SSR studies in which a modular high bandwidth (six-samples per cycle) linear time-invariant discrete model of TCSC is interfaced with the rest of the system. In the proposed controller, since the response time is highly dependent on the number of states of the system, it is often desirable to approximate the system by its reduced model. By using standard Hankels norm approximation technique, the system order is reduced from 27 to 11th order by retaining the dominant dynamic characteristics of the system. To validate the proposed controller, computer simulation using MATLAB is performed and the simulation studies show that this controller can provide simultaneous damping of swing mode as well as torsional mode oscillations, which is difficult with a conventional controller. Moreover the fast response of the system can be used for real-time applications. The performance of the controller is tested for different operating conditions.  相似文献

The persistence of beta oscillations generated in the basal ganglia is typical pathological characteristic of Parkin-son's disease.In this paper,we construct a new network model,which is mainly composed of the subthalamic nu-cleus and the globus pallidus.Based on theory analysis,we obtained the beta shock conditions in the proposed model.It is shown that numerical simulations are in good agreement with analytical results.At last,the effects of cortex and striatum inputs on the generation of oscillations are also discussed.We hope that the obtained results may find applications to treatment of Parkinson’s disease and study of neural oscillations produced in other parts of the brain neural network.  相似文献
