食物成瘾是一种复杂的慢性疾病，导致人们在日常生活中对某种食物产生过度依赖与过度进食等相关行为特征，近年来已被认为是影响欧美发达国家肥胖症、暴食症、糖尿病等发病率持续升高的关键原因，引起学术界的极大关注，成为研究热点。本文主要介绍食物成瘾的概念、诊断标准，综述了食物成瘾的病理机制、影响因素和应对措施等方面的研究进展，并探讨食物成瘾对我国食品界的启示，为预防食物成瘾，保障公众健康提供有益借鉴。

Comments on an article by Eidelson and Eidelson (see record 2003-03645-004) which made an important contribution, at a critical juncture, to the discussion of international conflicts by identifying core dimensions that allow for the systematic examination of the problem. Their article also posed a danger that mirrors a disturbing trend in the public discourse about conflicts and injustice. In response to the recent escalation of international violence and years of mixed results of engagement in debates centered around grievances of injustice (such as the Palestinian-Israeli conflict), many politicians, pundits, and scholars have advocated addressing conflicts by separating them from the underlying grievances and the ongoing injustice. 几种地下水易污性评价方法在徐州张集地区的应用

选择GOD法、DRASTIC法S、INTACS法及SI法4种易污性评价方法用于徐州张集地区的地下水易污性评价,应用GIS/ARCINFO输出张集地区的地下水易污性指标图。不同易污性评价方法对张集地区裂隙岩溶地下水的易污性评价得到了不同的结论,经分析,SI法更适用于张集地区的实际情况。具体应用时,要根据评价地区的实际条件,并和评价地区污染监测情况结合,选择合适的易污性评价方法评价地下水的易污性。

D. P. Phillips, T. E. Ruth, and L. M. Wagner (1993) reported that 1969-1990 California mortality data show that Chinese Americans are particularly vulnerable to diseases that Chinese astrology and traditional Chinese medicine associate with their birth years. For example, because fire is associated with the heart, a Chinese person born in a fire year (such as 1937) is more likely to die of heart disease than is a Chinese person born in a nonfire year. However, many diseases were excluded from this study, some diseases that were included have ambiguous links to birth years, and the statistical tests were indirect. A more complete statistical analysis and independent California mortality data for the years 1960-1968 and 1991-2002 did not replicate the original results. Toward bridging the science and practice of depression prevention: What can we learn from cognitive vulnerability?

Depression is a widespread disorder with devastating individual and societal consequences. Although a great deal of research and theory has focused on treatment of acute episodes, progress needs to be made in preventing the emergence of first episodes of the disorder. There has been considerable advancement in understanding psychological vulnerability factors associated with this mood disorder, especially on the basis of cognitive behavioural models and research findings based on this theoretical model. In this paper we review the concept of cognitive vulnerability, with a particular focus on what this body of research work suggests clinically for the prevention of depression. We outline, based on this science, what the effective ingredients of a prevention program could be. Mixed anaclitic-introjective psychopathology in treatment-resistant inpatients undergoing psychoanalytic psychotherapy.

Utilizing data from the Riggs-Yale Project, 45 male and 45 female 18-29-year-old treatment-resistant inpatients undergoing intensive psychoanalytically oriented treatment were studied. Twenty-seven mixed-type anaclitic-introjective inpatients were compared with 29 "pure" anaclitic and 34 "pure" introjective inpatients. At intake, mixed-type inpatients were more clinically impaired (i.e., were more symptomatic, cognitively impaired, and thought disordered) and more vulnerable (i.e., less accurate object representations and more frequently used maladaptive defense mechanisms) in comparison with clearly defined anaclitic and introjective patients. Mixed-type patients, however, improved significantly more in the course of psychoanalytically oriented treatment, in terms of clinical functioning (i.e., symptoms, cognitive functioning) and psychological vulnerability (i.e., utilization of more adaptive defense mechanisms). On the suitability of agricultural by-products for the manufacture of granular activated carbon

An investigation of several agricultural by-products revealed that their suitability for activated carbon production is not determined by general material-specific features (elemental composition) but by type-specific features. A coarse-cellular structure (as in wood), which is indicated by porosities of the raw materials higher than 35% is disadvantageous. A specific change in the properties of cokes (porosity, density, hardness) is possible by varying the conditions of pyrolysis. By rapid heating in the pyrolysis step, for instance, macroporous residues are produced. Temperature and burnoff have the greatest influence on the quality of the activated carbon during the activation step. Of the investigated materials, coconut shells yield granular activated carbon of the highest quality. The following order of suitability of raw materials for activated carbon production was established: coconut shells> peach stones> plum stones> hazelnut shells> walnut shells> cherry stones.     

Psychological impact of colorectal cancer screening.

This article examines the psychological impact of participating in sigmoidoscopy screening for colorectal cancer prevention. The 1st study examined psychological well-being at 3 months, in relation to screening outcome, in 4,153 individuals. The 2nd study used longitudinal data to examine changes in psychological functioning from before to after screening in relation both to screening outcome and baseline indicators of vulnerability. There were few psychological differences between those who had received negative results or had polyps detected. These findings were confirmed in the longitudinal study, which also found no evidence for vulnerability to adverse effects among those who were initially most anxious or who perceived their risk of cancer to be higher.
