The present investigation is aimed to carry out a comparison between DP-GMAW and P-GMAW processes on mechanical and metallurgical properties of 2.0 mm thin AA6061 aluminum alloy sheet. The use of DP-GMAW has been found superior to the use of P-GMAW with respect to significant improvement in mechanical and metallurgical properties. The advantage of the weld characteristics with dual pulse in GMAW process is primarily due to the combined effect of pulsed current and thermal pulsation. 相似文献

The arc sound was found to be strongly related to both process parameters and weld quality, like voltage and current signals, in gas metal arc welding. In this investigation, the acquired welding arc sound signal along with current and voltage signals were analyzed in time domain as well as frequency domain to correlate them with the various process parameters and metal transfer modes. The arc sound of continuous as well as pulsed gas metal arc welding at various process parameters was also compared. A major variation of auxiliary arc sound frequency peaks was observed due to change of pulse shape as evidenced by frequency domain analysis. 利用焊接过程参数与过程图像同步采集系统,研究了平均电流均为150 A时两脉冲电弧的电流相位差对电弧稳定性和焊缝成形的影响.结果表明,脉冲电流相位差为零(两电弧同相位)时,两峰值电弧相互吸引并融为一体,两基值电弧互不影响,焊接过程稳定,断弧现象很少,焊缝成形良好;随着脉冲电流相位差的增大,断弧现象逐渐增多,焊缝在宽度上出现不均匀;脉冲电流相位差为180°时,基值电弧被峰值电弧强烈吸引,以弧形跨越两焊丝之间的空间后融入峰值电弧中,弧长显著增长,断弧现象严重,重新引弧时引起较多飞溅,焊缝成形较差. 相似文献

The criticality of pulse current gas metal arc welding (P-GMAW) due to simultaneous influence of its pulse parameters on thermal characteristics of weld and heat-affected zone HAZ) has been studied as a function of summarized influence of pulse parameters defined by a dimensionless factor φ = [(I b /I p )f·t b ], mean current (I m ), and heat input (Ω) during weld bead deposition on high strength low alloy (HSLA) steel plate using low alloy steel filler wire. The thermal characteristics have been estimated with the help of suitable expressions and in consideration of relevant geometrical features of the ripples formed at the surface of weld bead. The validity of those estimations has been confirmed by comparing them with measured values and found that they are well in agreement with each other with a deviation lying in the range of 8 to 10%. It is observed that the trends of variation in thermal characteristics of weld and HAZ are maintaining good correlations with the φ, I m , and Ω of the welding process. 相似文献

AbstractAn experimental Al–Cu–Li–Mg–Ag–Zr type alloy in the form of 13.7 mm thick plates was studied for its fusion characteristics using gas metal arc welding (GMAW) and pulsed gas metal arc welding (P-GMAW). High copper 2319 filler of 1.6 mm diameter was used. The burn-off characteristics of 2319 filler wire in GMAW and P-GMAW were experimentally determined, including the relation between pulse current and pulse duration for the desired one-drop detachment per pulse (ODPP) condition and feasible range of pulse parameters. The effect of welding parameters on bead geometry and shape relationships was investigated through beadon-plate experiments in the welding current range above the spray transition current. Reasonably good weld beads were obtained in P-GMAW at currents as low as 194 A and welding speeds of 45 cm min–1. P-GMAW yielded significantly higher weld penetration compared to GMAW. 相似文献

针对窄间隙自动化焊接过程中,组对误差、焊接热变形等因素导致的坡口宽度不一致问题,本文提出采用电弧传感方式对坡口宽度进行检测,并根据检测结果调节工艺参数,保证焊接质量的方法。通过研究坡口宽度偏差的提取算法,分析窄坡口条件下脉冲熔化极焊接的峰值电流、基值电流和平均电流信号的传感特征,提出以脉冲周期内的电流均值作为特征信号,利用侧壁平均法进行偏差提取的传感方式;确定了坡口宽度变化时,焊枪摆幅、焊接速度的调控方法,实现了适应坡口宽度变化的自动化焊接。窄间隙焊接试验表明,上述方法能够有效识别坡口宽度变化,及时对摆幅、焊速进行调整,可在坡口宽度变化时,保证侧壁熔合质量和焊层厚度均匀。研究结果对单道多层窄间隙焊接实现焊接自动化,保证焊接质量具有一定的参考价值。 相似文献
