Theoretical and experimental analysis has been performed for surface oriented silicon plasma-based p,i,n structures used to control high power level, broadband devices. It is shown that these structures are very promising for their use as modulators in the millimeter and submillimeter wave range.  相似文献

Li-doped sulfated-zirconia catalysts were found to be effective for oxidative coupling of methane (OCM). The catalyst performances depend on the sulfate content and calcination temperature. A maximum C2 yield is attained over the catalysts, which contain 6 wt.% sulfate and calcined at 923–973 K, being closely related to the preparation conditions of sulfated-ZrO2 as solid super-acids. When the performances of the Li-doped sulfated-ZrO2 (Li/SZ) catalysts were tested at 1023 K as a function of reaction time, both the C2 and COx selectivities remained constant over the range of 8 h, but the CH4 conversion decreased from 17.5% to 11.9%. The nature of Li/SZ catalysts for the OCM was investigated by X-ray diffraction, XPS, and NH3 and CO2 TPD measurements. It could be postulated that the sulfated-ZrO2 surface could play an important role in the formation of a catalytically active structure by Li-doping.  相似文献

A design in which a filter is embedded in a fiber fixed on a substrate is proposed. It was successfully applied to the fabrication of low loss fiber optic components for a single-mode fiber transmission system. These components have a wide operational temperature range. The design is easily adapted to a multifilter or multifiber component. Filter embedding is achieved in two ways. One is to insert a thin filter chip in a slit which is machined into a fiber fixed on a substrate by a dicing saw (filter inserted type). The other is to evaporate a filter film directly on a fiber end face and butt this fiber to another fiber on a guide groove on a substrate (filter evaporated type)  相似文献

Most of the breakdowns in an electric power system are caused by lightning to the tower used for high‐voltage transmission wires. To avoid accidents due to lightning, it would be desirable to develop a measurement system for the spatial electric field distribution around the tower. We have developed a new system that can measure the electric field around the steel tower for electric power transmission by using an optical electric sensor. In conventional methods, the sensor is generally illuminated by light transmitted by optical fibers. On the other hand, the new measurement system illuminates the Pockels sensor directly by using a laser to measure the far electric field. Furthermore, our newly proposed feedback system makes it possible to measure the spatial electric field without concern for the change of Pockels sensor's operation point influenced by temperature change. This system is applicable as a remote sensing system to monitor the spatial electric field around a high‐voltage transmission line. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. For practical insulation design of superconducting power apparatus, it is necessary to take into account an inherent phenomenon known as quench, the transition from the superconducting to the normal state. We investigated quench-induced dynamic breakdown and prebreakdown characteristics of liquid helium (LHe). Experimental results revealed that the quench of the superconductor drastically reduced the breakdown voltage of LHe in the thermal bubble disturbance. Moreover, dynamic breakdown characteristics in a quasi-uniform field using a superconducting coil were investigated. The results revealed that the breakdown was induced in the quench-initiated region where the largest thermal energy was generated  相似文献
