Polystyrenes bearing tricyclohexylstannyl moieties with different stereoregularities, molecular weights, and chemical composition have been prepared and characterized through two synthetic routes. The suitability of the products obtained to be used as intermediate derivatives in the synthesis of the corresponding organotin trichlorides, precursors to organic–inorganic hybrid materials, has been investigated.  相似文献

The NPDGamma experiment will measure the parity-violating directional gamma ray asymmetry Aγ in the reaction n+pd+γ. Ultimately, this will constitute the first measurement in the neutron-proton system that is sensitive enough to challenge modern theories of nuclear parity violation, providing a theoretically clean determination of the weak pion-nucleon coupling. A new beam-line at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center (LANSCE) delivers pulsed cold neutrons to the apparatus, where they are polarized by transmission through a large volume polarized 3He spin filter and captured in a liquid para-hydrogen target. The 2.2 MeV gamma rays from the capture reaction are detected in an array of CsI(Tl) scintillators read out by vacuum photodiodes operated in current mode. We will complete commissioning of the apparatus and carry out a first measurement at LANSCE in 2004–05, which would provide a statistics-limited result for Aγ accurate to a standard uncertainty of ±5 × 10−8 level or better, improving on existing measurements in the neutron-proton system by a factor of 4. Plans to move the experiment to a reactor facility, where the greater flux would enable us to make a measurement with a standard uncertainty of ±1 × 10−8, are actively being pursued for the longer term.  相似文献

Organic–inorganic polymeric derivatives constituted by methyl methacrylate co-units and an oxohydroxobutyltin macrocation difunctionalized with methacrylate counterions have been prepared by radical polymerization in solution. The reaction affords soluble products, indicative of a substantial absence of cross-linking originated by the difunctional macrocationic comonomer, when the molar excess of methyl methacrylate is high. The organic–inorganic hybrid products obtained have been characterized by various techniques, thus allowing us to propose a mechanism for their formation which implies a role as chain termination agent for the macrocationic monomer.  相似文献

In a distributed system based on Transputer components there is one clock for each processing element, and the definition of the global system time requires the choice of a hardware or software synchronization method. This paper describes the RING_SYNC algorithm, based on a ring-structured synchronization scheme. RING_SYNC has no provision for fault tolerance, but it introduces little overhead, thanks to the optimization of both the number of messages exchanged at sync time and the resynchronization frequency. The implementation of the algorithm together with the tests performed for measuring the synchronization error and their results are discussed extensively, and some typical applications are pointed out.  相似文献

The paper proposes an algebraic representation of program modules, called F(p), and illustrates the algorithms that use F(p) to generate program graph models for measurement, documentation and testing activities. The representation refers to procedural languages, D-structured programs and one-in/one-out modules but its definition can be extended to programs structured in terms of an arbitrary set of one-in/one-out legal control structures. Since it is possible to produce F(p) directly from the program code using reverse engineering techniques, the algorithms proposed are of considerable interest for the setting up of tools supporting the program comprehension phase, which is a fundamental first step in any maintenance operation.  相似文献

Site-directed mutations involving selected amino acids of Escherichia coli single-stranded DNA-binding protein (SSB) were tested for their in vivo functionality when introduced into a chromosomal ssb deletion strain on a plasmid. All mutants complemented the ssb deletion for viability when present on a pSC101 derivative. The generation time with ssbW54S doubled in comparison to the ssb+ control, and both the ssbW54S- and ssbH55K-containing strains exhibited temperature sensitivity. ssbH55K, ssbW54S, ssbW88T, and ssbH55Y (ssb-1) strains displayed reduced survival to ultraviolet irradiation, while ssbW40T and ssbF60L strains were comparable to the ssb+ control strain. This study represents the first investigation of the in vivo properties of ssb mutations constructed for in vitro analysis of DNA binding by SSB.  相似文献

The antagonist and agonist binding sites of muscarinic receptors were investigated by using membrane preparations of airways from nonsensitized normal control, sensitized control and repeatedly antigen challenged rats. The in vitro bronchial responsiveness to ACh was markedly increased in repeatedly antigen challenged group but not in sensitized control group. No significant difference was observed in receptor density and antagonist affinity among these three groups. The affinity of ACh for high-affinity agonist binding sites of repeatedly antigen challenged group was much greater than those in the other groups; the affinity significantly reduced in the presence of GTP gamma S. We concluded that enhanced G protein level might be involved in inducing airway hyperresponsiveness in rats.  相似文献

On the basis of the results obtained with pilot studies conducted in vitro on human low density lipoprotein (LDL) and on cell cultures (Caco-2), which had indicated the ability of certain molecules present in olive oil to inhibit prooxidative processes, an in vivo study was made of laboratory rabbits fed special diets. Three different diets were prepared: a standard diet for rabbits (diet A), a standard diet for rabbits modified by the addition of 10% (w/w) extra virgin olive oil (diet B), a modified standard diet for rabbits (diet C) differing from diet B only in the addition of 7 mg kg−1 of oleuropein. A series of biochemical parameters was therefore identified, both in the rabbit plasma and the related isolated LDL, before and after Cu-induced oxidation. The following, in particular, were selected: (i) biophenols, vitamins E and C, uric acid, and total, free, and ester cholesterol in the plasma; (ii) proteins, triglycerides, phospholipids, and total, free, and ester cholesterol in the native LDL (for the latter, the dimensions were also measured); (iii) lipid hydroperoxides, aldehydes, conjugated dienes, and relative electrophoretic mobility (REM) in the oxidized LDL (ox-LDL). In an attempt to summarize the results obtained, it can be said that this investigation has not only verified the antioxidant efficacy of extra virgin olive oil biophenols and, in particular, of oleuropein, but has also revealed a series of thus far unknown effects of the latter on the plasmatic lipid situation. In fact, the addition of oleuropein in diet C increased the ability of LDL to resist oxidation (less conjugated diene formation) and, at the same time, reduced the plasmatic levels of total, free, and ester cholesterol (−15, −12, and −17%, respectively), giving rise to a redistribution of the lipidic components of LDL (greater phospholipid and cholesterol amounts) with an indirect effect on their dimesions (bigger by about 12%).  相似文献

Purpose: This study investigated the influence of collagen removal with calcium hypochlorite on the surface morphology of acid‐etched dentin and on the microleakage of composite restorations. In addition, the elemental composition (EC) of dentin after removal of the collagen fibrils was analyzed. Materials and Methods: Forty third molars received two cavities and were divided into four groups according to dentin treatment: CTRL—no pre‐treatment; Na10—10% NaOCl for 30 s; Ca10—10% CaOCl for 30 s, and Ca15—15% CaOCl for 30 s. The cavities were filled using an acetone‐based adhesive system and a resin composite; they were then subjected to thermal cycling for 5,000 cycles, immersed in methylene blue for 4 h and sectioned into 1‐mm thick slabs. Two examiners evaluated two slices per tooth using a stereomicroscope and assigned the degree of infiltration (scores 0–3). The data were analyzed using the Kruskal–Wallis (α = 0.05). Four teeth received surface treatment according to the groups and were submitted to SEM and EDS to carry at the EC. Results: There was no significant difference between the experimental groups (P = 0.533). CaOCl alters the morphology and surface composition of the dentin, resulting in an increase in the amount of calcium in the interface. Conclusions: When used prior to an acetone‐based adhesive system, CaOCl did not produce any differences in microleakage when compared to the CTRL group or to the Na10 group. Microsc. Res.
