The kinetics of graft copolymerization of methyl methacrylate (MMA) onto chemically modified jute fibers initiated by the Ce(IV)–DMSO redox system was studied in the temperature range of 40–60°C. By studying the effects of the concentration of the monomer, Ce(IV), and DMSO on the rate of grafting, the optimum conditions for grafting were determined. Also, the effect of temperature, time, concentration of the acid, the amount of jute fiber, and some inorganic salts and organic solvents on the rate was investigated. A kinetic scheme was proposed on the basis of the experimental findings. Infrared spectra of chemically modified jute and grafted jute was investigated. More than 120% of grafting could be achieved with the present system. The characterization of MMA-grafted chemically modified jute by TGA and DTA studies was made. Base-catalyzed transesterification of acyl lipids with methanol in the presence of trimethylsulfonium hydroxide (TMSH) is an easy and convenient method for the preparation of fatty acid methyl esters for GC analyses. However, lipids containing functional groups such as amino, amide and hydroxy groups are converted in varying degrees to the corresponding N- and O-methyl derivatives by the pyrolytic reaction of TMSH occurring in the injector of the gas chromatograph. For example, lipids containing amino or amide groups are converted into the corresponding N-methyl and N,N-dimethyl derivatives, fatty acid ethanolamides to the corresponding N-methyl, O-methyl and N,O-dimethyl derivatives, whereas alkyl methyl ethers are formed from long-chain alcohols. Furthermore, 2-O- and 3-O-monomethyl ethers as well as 2,3-di-O-methyl ethers are formed from 1-O-alkylglycerols, methoxy fatty acid methyl esters from hydroxy fatty acids as well as steryl 3β-O-methyl ethers from cholesterol and other sterols. Since some of the mentioned artefacts may interfere with fatty acid methyl esters in GC separations the TMSH derivatization method is recommended only with caution for lipids containing amino, amide and hydroxy groups. The methylation reactions, which finally lead to the corresponding N-methyl, O-methyl, N,N-dimethyl or N,O-dimethyl derivatives of fatty acids and lipids may, however, be of some diagnostic value for the structural analysis of such lipids by GC/MS.  相似文献

In this contribution, four new compounds synthesized from 4-hydroxycoumarin and tyramine/octopamine/norepinephrine/3-methoxytyramine are characterized spectroscopically (IR and NMR), chromatographically (UHPLC-DAD), and structurally at the B3LYP/6-311++G*(d,p) level of theory. The crystal structure of the 4-hydroxycoumarin-octopamine derivative was solved and used as a starting geometry for structural optimization. Along with the previously obtained 4-hydroxycoumarin-dopamine derivative, the intramolecular interactions governing the stability of these compounds were quantified by NBO and QTAIM analyses. Condensed Fukui functions and the HOMO-LUMO gap were calculated and correlated with the number and position of OH groups in the structures. In vitro cytotoxicity experiments were performed to elucidate the possible antitumor activity of the tested substances. For this purpose, four cell lines were selected, namely human colon cancer (HCT-116), human adenocarcinoma (HeLa), human breast cancer (MDA-MB-231), and healthy human lung fibroblast (MRC-5) lines. A significant selectivity towards colorectal carcinoma cells was observed. Molecular docking and molecular dynamics studies with carbonic anhydrase, a prognostic factor in several cancers, complemented the experimental results. The calculated MD binding energies coincided well with the experimental activity, and indicated 4-hydroxycoumarin-dopamine and 4-hydroxycoumarin-3-methoxytyramine as the most active compounds. The ecotoxicology assessment proved that the obtained compounds have a low impact on the daphnia, fish, and green algae population.  相似文献

Immunostaining has emerged as one of the most common and valuable techniques that allow the localization of proteins at a quantitative level within cells and tissues using antibodies coupled to enzymes, fluorochromes, or colloidal nanogold particles. The application of fluorochromes during immunolabeling is referred to as immunofluorescence, a method coupled to widefield or confocal microscopy and extensively applied in basic research and clinical diagnosis. Notwithstanding, there are still disadvantages associated with the application of this technique due to technical challenges in the process, such as sample fixation, permeabilization, antibody incubation times, and fluid exchange, etc. These disadvantages call for continuous updates and improvements to the protocols extensively described in the literature. This review contributes to protocol optimization, outlining 10 current methods for improving sample processing in different stages of immunofluorescence, including a section with further recommendations. Additionally, we have extended our own antibody signal enhancer method, which was reported to significantly increase antibody signals and is useful for cervical cancer detection, to improve the signals of fluorochrome-conjugated staining reagents in fibrous tissues. In summary, this review is a valuable tool for experienced researchers and beginners when planning or troubleshooting the immunofluorescence assay.  相似文献

In this study, new nanostructured CuMgAl Layered Double Hydroxide (LDH) based materials are synthesized on a 4 cm2 sized carbonaceous gas diffusion membrane. By means of microscopic and spectroscopic techniques, the catalysts are thoroughly investigated, revealing the presence of several species within the same material. By a one-step, reproducible potentiodynamic deposition it is possible to obtain a composite with an intimate contact between a ternary CuMgAl LDH and Cu0/Cu2O species. The catalyst compositions are investigated by varying: the molar ratio between the total amount of bivalent cations and Al3+, the amount of loading, and the molar ratios among the three cations in the electrolyte. Each electrocatalyst has been evaluated based on the catalytic performances toward the electrochemical CO2 reduction to CH3COOH at −0.4 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode  in liquid phase. The optimized catalyst, that is, CuMgAl 2:1:1 LDH exhibits a productivity of 2.0 mmolCH3COOH gcat−1 h−1. This result shows the beneficial effects of combining a material like the LDHs, alkaline in nature, and thus with a great affinity to CO2, with Cu0/Cu+ species, which couples the increase of carbon sources availability at the electrode with a redox mediator capable to convert CO2 into a C2 product.  相似文献

A series of highly functionalized pyrazole derivatives has been prepared by a one-pot, versatile and regioselective procedure. Pyrazoles 1 – 29 were tested in cell-based assay to assess their antiproliferative activity against a panel of tumour cells. Additionally, the cytotoxicity of prepared compounds was evaluated against normal human fibroblasts. The antiproliferative activity of the synthesized molecules emerged to be affected by the nature of the substituents of the pyrazole scaffold and derivatives 21 – 23 proved to inhibit the growth of melanoma and cervical cancer cells. Compound 23 was identified as the most active derivative and docking simulations predicted its ability to interact with estrogen receptors.  相似文献

Copper(I) selenide-nanocrystalline semiconductor was synthesized via one-step mechanochemical synthesis after 5 min milling in a planetary ball mill. The kinetics of synthesis was followed by X-ray powder diffraction analysis and specific surface area measurements of milled 2Cu/Se mixtures. The X-ray diffraction confirmed the orthorhombic crystal structure of Cu2Se with the crystallite size ~25 nm. The surface chemical structure was studied by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, whereby the binding energy of the Cu 2p and Se 3d signals corresponded to Cu+ and Se2– oxidation states. Transmission electron microscopy revealed agglomerated nanocrystals and confirmed their orthorhombic structure, as well. The optical properties were studied utilizing ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy. The direct bandgap energy 3.7 eV indicated a blue-shift phenomenon due to the quantum size effect. This type of Cu2Se synthesis can be easily adapted to production dimensions using an industrial vibratory mill. The advantages of mechanochemical synthesis represent the potential for inexpensive, environmentally-friendly, and waste-free manufacturing of Cu2Se.  相似文献

Dyslipidemias are known risk factors for chronic diseases. Precision nutrition interventions are designed according to characteristics, such as diet, phenotype, and genotype. This systematic review aims to define a panel of genetic variants associated with lipid abnormalities that could be later used in nutrigenetic intervention studies. A systematic review is conducted following the PRISMA-P. Studies published from January 2010 to December 2020 in English language and humans are included from PubMed and ScienceDirect databases. Articles that demonstrate a strong association between polymorphisms (single nucleotide variation) of genes involved in lipid metabolism and increased risk for dyslipidemia are included. A total of 3031 articles are screened, but only 51 articles fulfill the inclusion criteria. The genes included are FABP2, MTTP related to CM synthesis and secretion; LPL, LIPC involved in triglyceride hydrolysis; CETP, APOA1, LCAT, ABCA1, and APOA5 related to lipoprotein metabolism, and APOE, LDLR, SCARB1, APOC3 involved in lipid clearance. In this systematic review, genetic variants related to chylomicron synthesis, triglyceride hydrolysis, lipoprotein metabolism, and lipid clearance demonstrate a strong association with lipid abnormalities, which can be used to design precision nutrition interventions that may help to prevent and treat dyslipidemia effectively.  相似文献
