Stopped flow kinetic-spectrophotometric determination of Diquat in waters   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Using the measures of initial reaction rate, a kinetic-photometric method is developed that uses the reaction of Diquat with H2O2 in basic medium. The reaction rate is very high and therefore the stopped-flow mixing technique is required in order to make kinetic measurements. The reaction rate is obtained in 20 s after the reactants are mixed and it allows the simple application of the method proposed to the routine analyses. The sensitivity of the method is very high being the detection limit 0.44 microgmL(-1) and the application range between 1 and 16 microgmL(-1). The time of measure per sample is 90s. The proposed kinetic-photometric method has been applied to the direct determination of this compound in river water, in the water of laundry of the olives, and in a commercial product. The results are very acceptable.  相似文献

In current-day software development, programmers often use programming patterns to clarify their intents and to increase the understandability of their programs. Unfortunately, most software development environments do not adequately support the declaration and use of such patterns. To explicitly codify these patterns, we adopt a declarative meta programming approach. In this approach, we reify the structure of a (object-oriented) program in terms of logic clauses. We declare programming patterns as logic rules on top of these clauses. By querying the logic system, these rules allow us to check, enforce and search for occurrences of certain patterns in the software. As such, the programming patterns become an active part of the software development and maintenance environment.  相似文献

The purpose of this paper is to present a novel methodology for assessing the quality of architecture solutions of hw/sw systems, with particular emphasis on testability. Criteria and metrics for quality assessment are proposed and used to assist the design team in selecting a best-fitted architecture that satisfies not only functional requirements, but also test requirements. The methodology makes use of object-oriented modeling techniques. Near-optimum clustering of methods and attributes into objects is carried out, in such a way that objects with moderate complexity, low coupling and high functional autonomy, result. A crossover design was implemented using four nonlactating dairy cows [mean body weight (BW) = 678 kg] and two rations to measure the true absorption of Ca and P from corn silage. True absorption was calculated after dosing cows intravenously with 45Ca and 32P to measure endogenous fecal losses. Rations consisted mainly of corn silage and were formulated to supply 32 g/d of Ca and 20 g/d of P or 16 g/d of Ca and 12 g/d of P. The percentages of total Ca and P that came from corn silage were 95 and 77%, respectively, for ration 1, and 98 and 79%, respectively, for ration 2. Cows ate more dry matter (10.9 vs. 10.2 kg/d) when consuming the corn silage in ration 1 than when consuming the corn silage in ration 2. Calcium intake was greater for cows fed ration 1 than for cows fed ration 2 (32.6 vs. 16.1 g/d), and P intake was greater for cows fed ration 1 than for cows fed ration 2 (20.1 vs. 11.7 g/d). True absorption of Ca was 34.4 and 43.7% for rations 1 and 2, respectively, and true absorption of P was 84.5 and 93.9% for rations 1 and 2, respectively. True absorption of Ca was about equal to values currently used in the National Research Council (NRC) feeding standards, but true absorption of P was higher than values currently used by the NRC. Fecal endogenous excretion of Ca (mean = 8.23 mg/kg of BW per d) was one-half of the value currently used by the NRC, and fecal endogenous excretion of P (mean = 7.23 mg/kg of BW per d) was only slightly less than NRC values.  相似文献

Summary Variations in low-molecular-weight phenolic compounds in different parts (must, skin, and seeds) of berries ofV. vinifera, variety Cencibel during ripening were studied using HPLC andTLC. Twenty-five different compounds were identified. The differences were chiefly quantitative, although some quantitative differences were also recorded.

Zusammenfassung Die Veränderungen der phenolischen Verbindungen mit niedrigem Molekulargewicht während der Reife in verschiedenen Teilen (Saft, Schale und Samen) der Beeren vonV. vinifera, Varietät Cencibel, wurden mit HPLC- und DS-Chromatographie untersucht. Fünfundzwanzig Verbindungen wurden identifiziert. Die Veränderungen waren hauptsächlich quantitativ; einige qualitative Veränderungen wurden ebenfalls beobachtet.

To examine the relationship between knowledge of word meanings and semantic processes, 27 4th-grade children were taught 104 words over a 5-mo period. Following instruction, Ss performed tasks designed to require semantic processes ranging from single word semantic decisions to simple sentence verification and memory for connected text. On all these tasks, instructed Ss performed at a significantly higher level than controls matched on pre-instruction vocabulary knowledge and comprehension. Thus, instructed Ss gave evidence both of learning word meanings taught by the program and of being able to process instructed words more efficiently in tasks more reflective of comprehension. Carotenoids are responsible for the colour of a wide variety of both vegetable and animal foods. Several studies published recently have shown that these compounds have a beneficial effect in human health, thus, from a nutritional point of view, it is important to know the factors related to their degradation, because carotenoid losses, not only produce changes in food colour, but also decrease their nutritional value. The instability of carotenoids is due to the fact that they are highly unsaturated compounds, thus degradation is due mainly to oxidation. Other factors, such as temperature, light or pH can produce important qualitative changes in these compounds by means of isomerization reactions.  相似文献

Wagner and Magyarik outlined a conceptual public key cryptosystem based on the hardness of the word problem for finitely presented groups. At the same time, they gave a specific example of such a system. We prove that in the present form their approach is vulnerable to so-called reaction attacks. In particular, for the proposed instance it is possible to retrieve the private key just by watching the performance of a legitimate recipient. Phytotoxicity and heavy metals speciation of stabilised sewage sludges   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
The presence of heavy metals in the sludges produced in wastewater treatment restricts plants growth and hence their use for agricultural purposes. This study looks at different types of sludges (aerobic, anaerobic, unstabilised and sludge from a waste stabilisation pond) and compares the distribution of the heavy metals that they contain according to the treatment that they have undergone. The sewage sludges were subjected to chemical characterisation and phytotoxicity testing (in absence of substrate) to provide a preliminary assessment of their suitability for land application. In addition, the total quantity of metals (Cd, Cr, Cu, Ca, K, Fe, Mg, Ni, Na, Pb and Zn) was determined. The Community Bureau of Reference (BCR) method for heavy metal speciation was followed. It was confirmed that the total concentration of heavy metals did not exceed the limits set out by European legislation and that the stabilisation treatment undergone by the sludges strongly influenced the heavy metal distribution and the phases to which they were associated. The sludge extracts did not exert any significant adverse effect on the relative seed germination (RSG) of barley (Hordeum vulgare L.) or cress (Lepidium sativum L.), although the reduction in germination index (GI) indicates that some characteristics existed did have an adverse effect on root growth.  相似文献
