Lysozyme (N-acetyl-muramyl-hydrolase E.C. 3.2.1.17) is a low-molecular enzyme (14,400 Da) found in body secretions, systemic fluids and tissues of humans and animals. Antibacterial activity of lysozyme monomer is limited first of all to Gram-positive bacteria, which is connected with the structure of the cell wall. This enzyme catalyzes hydrolysis of β-glycoside bonds (1–4), releasing N-acetylglucosamine and N-acetylmuramic acid. The spectrum of antibacterial activity of lysozyme may be extended thanks to modifications of the enzyme. The aim of the study was to assess antibacterial activity, hydrolytic activity and surface hydrophobicity of different forms of lysozyme. Chemical and thermo-chemical modification of lysozyme was performed, and the antibacterial action of lysozyme monomer and modified preparations were compared. It was found that in comparison with monomer and the control, all modified preparations exhibit effective action against Gram (−) bacteria Pseudomonas fluorescens. A particularly effective action was found in case of lysozyme subjected to thermo-chemical modification, which was characterized by the highest proportion of oligomeric forms and the highest hydrophobicity.  相似文献

The AE44 (Mg–4Al–4RE) alloy was prepared by a hot-chamber die casting method. The microstructure, microstructural stability and creep properties at 175 °C were investigated. The microstructure was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and the Rietveld method. The results show that die cast AE44 magnesium alloy consists of α-Mg, Al11RE3, Al2RE and Al2.12RE0.88 phases. The Al11RE3 phase is thermally stable at 175 °C whereas the metastable Al2.12RE0.88 phase undergoes a transition into the equilibrium Al2RE phase. The alloy investigated is characterized by good creep properties at temperatures of 175 °C and 200 °C.  相似文献

Two-component films of a non-amphiphilic azo dye and a liquid crystal with strongly polar –CN group were studied at an air–water interface on the basis of the surface potential–mean molecular area dependence recorded simultaneously with the surface pressure–mean molecular area isotherm. Additionally, the morphology of the films was monitored with the aid of Brewster angle microscope. A conventional Langmuir technique was used to form dye/liquid crystal films during reduction and expansion of an area occupied by the molecules. From the surface potential value, the effective dipole moment in the first monolayer formed on the water was calculated. Moreover, the number of molecules with dipole moments directed from the water to the air with respect to those directed towards water was estimated. The influence of the two components' miscibilities upon the surface potential after addition of the dye to the liquid crystal was determined.  相似文献

Assume that a real-time programP T consisting of a number of parallel processes is executed on a system having a setPr of processors which are shared between the processes by a real-time schedulerS T. Assume that PT must meet some timing deadlines. We show that such an implementation ofP T can be represented as a transformationL(P T) and that the deadlines ofP T will be met if they are satisfied by the timing properties of the transformed program. The condition for feasibility of a real-time program executed under a scheduler is formalized and rules are provided for verification. The schedulerS T can be specifiedgenerically and applied to different programs, making it unnecessary to introduce low-level operations such as scheduling primitives into the programming language. Thus real-time program specification and Schedulability can be considered in the same framework and the timing properties of a program can be determined at the specification level. By separating the specification of the scheduler from that of the program, the feasibility of an implementation can be proved by considering a scheduling policy rather than its implementation details.  相似文献

Butyltins (BTs) and phenyltins (PhTs) were determined in the livers of marine mammals found by-caught or stranded along the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. During the investigation an original analytical method was developed. Butyltin compounds were detected in all the liver samples, whereas phenyltins were not detected in any of the samples. The total concentrations of BTs ranged from 43.9 to 7698 ng(Sn) x g(-1) dry weight. Age-related trends to accumulate BTs in immature porpoises were found. At the same time there were no male-female differences in BTs concentrations observed. No statistically significant spatial distribution differences were found between the locations corresponding to the open Baltic Sea waters and inside the Gulf of Gdańsk, which is characterized by high maritime activity. In comparison to butyltin levels in marine mammals from other geographic regions, the samples analyzed indicate a significant degree of tributyltin pollution along the Polish coast of the Baltic Sea. On the basis of a literature review, higher BT levels are usually found in waters close to highly industrialized areas, such as Japan, Hong Kong, and the United States.  相似文献

This paper presents a new solution to the expert system for reliable heartbeat recognition. The recognition system uses the support vector machine (SVM) working in the classification mode. Two different preprocessing methods for generation of features are applied. One method involves the higher order statistics (HOS) while the second the Hermite characterization of QRS complex of the registered electrocardiogram (ECG) waveform. Combining the SVM network with these preprocessing methods yields two neural classifiers, which have been combined into one final expert system. The combination of classifiers utilizes the least mean square method to optimize the weights of the weighted voting integrating scheme. The results of the performed numerical experiments for the recognition of 13 heart rhythm types on the basis of ECG waveforms confirmed the reliability and advantage of the proposed approach.  相似文献

An all-solid-state calcium-selective electrode was constructed with poly(pyrrole) solid-contact doped with calcium complexing ligand Tiron. The potentiometric response of this sensor can have a linear range down to 10(-)(9) M with a slope close to Nernstian and detection limit equal to 10(-)(9.6). The effects of pH and the activity of the interfering ion in the conditioning solution on the potentiometric behavior of the constructed sensors were examined. Potential stability, reproducibility, and impedance studies were performed. The selectivity of the constructed electrode is better than that of the conventional calcium-selective electrode with internal filling solution of 10(-)(2) M CaCl(2) and comparable to that of the best liquid-contact electrodes.  相似文献

The initial stage of leaching of chalcocite, bornite, and chalcopyrite as well as chalcocite-chalcopyrite and bornite-chalcopyrite mixtures in oxygenated aqueous sulphuric acid was investigated at 368 K. It was determined that chalcopyrite accelerates the rate of copper leaching from chalcocite due to grain contact between chalcocite and chalcopyrite. In contrast, chalcopyrite decreases the rate of dissolution of bornite.  相似文献
