Catalytic oxidation of benzene in the gas phase has been studied as a function of the catalyst composition, reaction temperature and the feed conditions of reactant gases, hydrogen, oxygen, benzene as well as diluting inert gas. The catalyst tested is composed of Pd and Cu(I) ions, both of which are supported on silica gel. If one of the two metal species is lacked from the catalyst, no catalytic activity appears. The product is almost exclusively phenol and some accompanying benzoquinone, in particular at lower temperatures, as minor byproduct.On leave from Hua-Dong Institute of Technology, Nanjing, People's Republic of China.  相似文献

Three types of CeO2–ZrO2 (Ce:Zr=1:1 molar ratio) compounds with different oxygen storage/release capacities (OSCs) were characterized by means of the Ce K-edge and Zr K-edge X-ray absorption fine structure (XAFS). In order to investigate the relationship between the OSC and local structure, the quantitative EXAFS curve-fitting analysis was applied. By enhancing the homogeneity of the Ce and Zr atoms in the CeO2–ZrO2 solid solution, the OSC performance increased. Especially, the atomically homogeneous Ce0.5Zr0.5O2 solid solution exhibited the highest OSC among these CeO2–ZrO2 samples. Additionally, the local oxygen environment around Ce and Zr was remarkably modified by enhancing the homogeneity of the CeO2–ZrO2 solid solution. It was postulated that the enhancement of the homogeneity of the CeO2–ZrO2 solid solution and the modification of the oxygen environment would be the source for the OSC improvement.  相似文献

Lately, the use of fibre reinforced thermoplastics (FRTP) has increased due to its increased mouldability compared to thermosetting FRP material.

FRTP includes stampable sheet, short and long fibre reinforced thermoplastic pellets, continuous fibre reinforced thermoplastics sheets, etc. The long fibre reinforced thermoplastic (LFRTP) pellet has better mechanical properties than short fibre reinforced pellets and better mouldability than stampable sheet. At present, injection moulding method is mainly used for moulding LFRTP pellets because of its high productivity.

However, the long fibre of LFRTP pellets, whose length is the same as pellet length, is degraded during processing if conventional injection moulding machines are used, and as a result, the mechanical properties are not improved as expected in many cases. Therefore, a new moulding process is required to make good use of LFRTP pellets.

For this study, a transfer moulding apparatus was designed and built to minimize fibre degradation of the moulded parts.

Firstly, the LFRTP pellets with fibre lengths of 3, 6, 9, 12.7 and 17 mm were prepared in order to clarify the difference of mechanical properties due to fibre length. The fibre ratio was 30% in weight for all cases and the same polypropylene was used. They were moulded to the shape of the test specimens. Tensile, bending and Izod impact strengths were measured by using these test specimens. Secondly, LFRTP pellets were moulded to the shape of test specimens by the transfer moulding apparatus and conventional injection moulding machine, and then mechanical properties were measured. At the same time, short fibre pellets were moulded to the smae shape of test specimens by the injection moulding machine, and mechanical properties were compared with those of LFRTP pellets.

With the long glass fibre reinforced polypropylene, good results of fibre preservation and mechanical properties were obtained by the transfer moulding apparatus which was built for this study. The impact strength was increased remarkably as the fibre length increased, and consequently the preservation of fibre length in the moulded parts was especially effective in improving the impact strength.  相似文献

An experimental setup for the determination of the silicon lattice constant is described. The monolithic flexure hinge mechanisms for orientation adjustment, an optical interferometer for angle and displacement measurement, and a special tool for establishing the parallelism between the optical surface and the reciprocal lattice vector are introduced. Warm spray (WS) process, which can control the temperature of a combustion gas jet used to propel powder, has been successfully applied to deposit WC-Co coatings. Detrimental reactions resulting from dissolution of WC into Co binder and decarburization were suppressed effectively by keeping the WC-Co particles’ temperature below the m.p. of the binder phase. In this study, three nano-structured WC-12Co powders with different particle strengths were prepared by changing the sintering conditions of spray-dried powder and were deposited by WS. The deposition efficiency and porosity of the coatings decreased with increasing the particle strength. The coating deposited from the powder with very low particle strength showed significant phase changes, while those deposited from the higher particle strengths showed almost no change. Particle Image Velocimetry revealed significant disintegration of the weakest powder, which explains the changes observed. The hardness and wear properties of the former coating, therefore, were inferior to the other two.  相似文献
