Temperature effect on the formation of a relief of diamond-like carbon coatings and its modification by ion bombardment

Diamond-like coatings (DLCs) have been obtained on a UVNIIPA-001 unit employing the method of pulse arc sputtering of a graphite target. DLCs of about 1.5 μm thick were applied onto substrates of the R6M5 steel. The relief of the coatings that were deposited using different temperature regimes has been studied. It has been established that a temperature rise of the surface of a growing DLC (condensation at a high frequency of arc pulses f) leads to the growth of films with numerous protrusions on their surface. The deposition of films at a low frequency f is more preferable to form smooth and hard DLCs under the conditions of unfiltered beam of carbon ions. The modification of the surface of diamond-like carbon coatings after their application has been investigated upon bombardment with accelerated ions of inert gas (argon) or chemically active oxygen. It has been established that the argon-ion bombardment is more preferable to smooth out the DLC relief. It has been shown that the relief of DLCs must be taken into account when measuring their microhardness, whereas the transformation of interatomic bonds in the near-surface layers after ion irradiation should be taken into consideration when analyzing the coatings by the methods whose informative depth is several monolayers.     

Efficient 3-d capacitance extraction considering lossy substrate with multilayered green's function

An efficient algorithm for extraction of three-dimensional (3-D) capacitance on multilayered and lossy substrates is presented. The new algorithm presents a major improvement over the quasi-3-D approach used in a Green's function-based solver and takes into consideration the sidewalls of 3-D conductors. To improve the efficiency of the computation and the transformation of the Green's function, a nonuniform grid is adopted. The most computationally intensive part in the transformation of the Green's function is computed separately as technology-independent matrices Tk foremost. Once computed, Tk can be stored and used for any technology, thus the storage requirement and computational complexity are reduced from O (S/sup 2/) and O (S/sup 2/ log S/sup 2/), respectively, to just O [(log S/sub max/)/sup 2/]. Extensive tests have been performed to verify the new algorithm, and its accuracy has been established by comparing with other programs.

Studies on the corrosion behavior of cerium-implanted zircaloy-4 with GAXRD

In order to study the influence of cerium ion implantation on the aqueous corrosion behavior of zircaloy-4, specimens were implanted by cerium ions with a fluence range from 1×10¹⁶ to 1×10¹⁷ ions/cm² at maximum 150°C, using MEVVA source at an extracted voltage of 40 kV. The valence and elements penetration distribution of the surface layer were analyzed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and auger electron spectroscopy (AES) respectively. Glancing angle X-ray diffraction (GAXRD) was employed to examine the phase transformation due to the cerium ion implantation in the oxide films. Three-sweep potentiodynamic polarization measurement was employed to value the aqueous corrosion resistance of zircaloy-4 in a 1 N H₂SO₄ solution. It was found that a significant improvement in the aqueous corrosion behavior of zircaloy-4 implanted with cerium ions compared with that of the as-received zircaloy-4. The improvement effect will declined with raising the implantation fluence. The bigger is the fluence, the less is the improvement. Finally, the mechanism of the corrosion behavior of the cerium-implanted zircaloy-4 is discussed.

Efficiency of pneumopulse regeneration of bag filter

Pneumopulse regeneration of bag filter has been investigated, and based on it a regression equation for regeneration efficiency has been derived. It has been shown that pulse pressure exerts the dominant influence on the regeneration efficiency.     

铜基催化剂孔隙率对气体有效扩散系数的影响

研究了18种具有不同孔结构参数的粒状铜基甲醇合成催化剂孔隙率对有效扩散系数的影响。结果发现，催化剂微孔孔隙率增大，曲节因子亦增大，扩散阻力增加。将孔隙率与催化剂曲节因子关联，得到了半经验方程，用它可估算催化剂的曲节因子。

Increasing the corrosion resistance of equipment due to the use of film-forming amines

Results of a study of tube specimens cut from hot-water boilers show that film-forming octadecyl amine (ODA) used in the process of preservation removes deposition from the surface of the metal. An ODA film is preserved on the surface after repeated washing of the latter with hot water. 钛基Ru-La-Ti涂层阳极的电催化性能

利用热分解法制备了不同La含量的钛基Ru-La-Ti涂层阳极，并研究了所制备涂层的电催化性能。结果表明，在Ru-Ti涂层阳极中掺杂稀土元素La可以提高涂层阳极的电催化活性，且La的掺杂量存在一个最佳范围(La的摩尔分数O．2)。涂层阳极电催化活性提高的原因在于La的引入可以提高涂层的有效活性表面积。
