True stress (??)?Ctrue plastic strain (??) behaviour examined for temperatures ranging from 300 to 873?K suggested that a combination of Ludwigson and Hollomon equations describes ??C?? behaviour most accurately in forged thick section?9Cr?C1Mo steel. Alternatively, the flow behaviour for temperature range 300?C873?K can be described adequately using single Voce equation. Good correlations have been obtained between work hardening parameters evaluated using Voce equation and the respective tensile properties. The variations of instantaneous work hardening rate (???=?d??/d??) and ??? with stress displayed two-stage behaviour characterised by a rapid decrease at low stresses (transient stage) followed by a gradual decrease at high stresses (stage-III). The variations of work hardening parameters, ?? versus ?? and ??? versus ?? with temperature exhibited three distinct temperature regimes along with signatures of dynamic strain ageing at intermediate temperatures and dominance of dynamic recovery at high temperatures. Comparison of work hardening parameters obtained using Voce equation and Kocks?CMecking approach suggested an analogy between the two for the steel.  相似文献

Novel composite membranes were prepared using imidazolium type aprotic ionic liquids and sulfonated poly (ether ketone) (SPEK) as polymer matrix by solution casting process. All the prepared membranes were characterized for their thermal stability, mechanical properties, ion exchange capacity, proton conductivity and leaching out of ionic liquids in presence of water. Ionic liquid based membranes were more flexible than neat SPEK membrane due to the plasticization effect of ionic liquids. The interactions and compatibility occurring among components were investigated by vibration spectroscopy (FTIR ATR) and scanning electron microscopy respectively. The thermal stability of composite membranes was higher than unmodified membranes. The ion conductivity of composite membranes under anhydrous conditions was found to be dependent on temperature, type and concentration of ionic liquid in SPEK matrix. Ion conductivities of composite membranes under anhydrous condition were found to be up to two orders (∼100 times) higher than neat SPEK membrane and it was found to be ∼5 mS/cm at 140 °C for SPEK/OTf-70. These composite membranes can be successfully operated at temperatures ranging from 40 °C to 140 °C under anhydrous conditions.  相似文献

The quantum Fisher information for a two-mode, Gaussian product state in an interferometer subject to photon loss is studied. We obtain the quantum Cramer–Rao bound on the achievable precision in phase estimation using such states. The scaling of the measurement precision with the mean photon number is compared to the shot noise-limited scaling for dual squeezed vacuum states and dual squeezed, displaced vacuum states.  相似文献

Fragility functions are determined for braced steel moment frames (SMFs) with plans such as square-, T-, L-, U-, trapezoidal-, and semicircular-shaped, subjected to blast. The frames are designed for gravity and seismic loads, but not necessarily for the blast loads. The blast load is computed for a wide range of scenarios involving different parameters, viz. charge weight, standoff distance, and blast location relative to plan of the structure followed by nonlinear dynamic analysis of the frames. The members failing in rotation lead to partial collapse due to plastic mechanism formation. The probabilities of partial collapse of the SMFs, with and without bracing system, due to the blast loading are computed to plot fragility curves. The charge weight and standoff distance are taken as Gaussian random input variables. The extent of propagation of the uncertainties in the input parameters onto the response quantities and fragility of the SMFs is assessed by computing Sobol sensitivity indices. The probabilistic analysis is conducted using Monte Carlo simulations. The frames have least failure probability for blasts occurring in front of their corners or convex face. Further, the unbraced frames are observed to have higher fragility as compared to counterpart braced frames for far-off detonations.  相似文献

This study explores the relationship between self‐employment and income growth, employment growth, and change in poverty in metro and non‐metro areas in the United States using county‐level panel data. We investigate the impact of the relative size of the self‐employment sector measured by the share of non‐farm proprietorships (NFPs) in total full and part‐time employment on three key economic performance indicators. We first estimate an income growth model to analyse the effects of self‐employment on income growth. Then we investigate the independent effects of self‐employment on employment growth and changes in family poverty rates. Our results indicate that higher self‐employment rates are associated with statistically significant increases over time in income and employment growth, and reductions in poverty rates in non‐metro counties. We find similar effects on metro county income and employment, but not on poverty dynamics.  相似文献

The polycrystalline samples of BiFeO3 (BFO) and rare earth-modified bismuth iron oxide, Bi0.95R0.25FeO3 (R = Nd, Dy) (BNFO, BDFO) are prepared by a standard high-temperature solid-state reaction technique. A preliminary x-ray structural analysis is carried out to examine the structural deformation and stability of rare earth-modified BFO. Room temperature surface morphologies and textures of the samples are recorded by a scanning electron microscope, which reveals the uniform distribution of the plate-and rod-shaped grains. Studies of dielectric and electric properties in a wide frequency (1 kHz–1 MHz) and temperature (30–400 °C) ranges using complex impedance spectroscopic method have provided many new results. The dielectric constant is found to be increases, and the tangent loss decreases as compared to BFO. The electrical polarizations (spontaneous and remnant) is found to be enhanced on rare-earth substitutions. Studies of ac conductivity suggest that the samples obey Jonscher’s universal power law. The enhancement of magnetization was observed in rare-earth doped samples compared to pure BFO.  相似文献

The organic field effect transistors (OFETs) with regioregular poly 3-hexylthiophene (rr-P3HT) and hexafluoro-2-propanol-substituted polysiloxane (SXFA) as an organic layer, have been used for detection of explosive vapors with excellent sensitivity of less than 70 ppt for 1,3,5-trinitro-1,3,5-triazacyclohexane (RDX) and less than 100 ppt for 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT). The sensor response (% change in saturation current) was found to be 125 ± 10% for TNT and 90 ± 10% for RDX. It was also observed that the incorporation of CuII tetraphenylporphyrin (CuTPP) into rr-P3HT/SXFA matrix resulted in an improved selectivity for the vapors of nitro based analytes (TNT, RDX and DNB) as compared to the vapors of non explosive oxidizing agents such as nitrobenzene (NB), benzoquinone (BQ) and benzophenone (BP). This is attributed to the increased binding of the vapors containing nitro compound to the thin films due to the presence of CuTTP. Spin coated thin films were further characterized by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and Electrostatic Force Microscopy (EFM).  相似文献
