Intelligent service robots provide various services to users by understanding the context and goals of a user task. In order to provide more reliable services, intelligent service robots need to consider various factors, such as their surrounding environments, users' changing needs, and constrained resources. To handle these factors, most of the intelligent service robots are controlled by a task‐based control system, which generates a task plan that represents a sequence of actions, and executes those actions by invoking the corresponding functions. However, the traditional task‐based control systems lack the consideration of resource factors even though intelligent service robots have limited resources (limited computational power, memory space, and network bandwidth). Moreover, system‐specific concerns such as the relationships among functional modules are not considered during the task generation phase. Without considering both the resource conditions and interdependencies among software modules as a whole, it will be difficult to efficiently manage the functionalities that are essential to provide core services to users. In this paper, we propose a mechanism for intelligent service robots to efficiently use their resources on‐demand by separating system‐specific information from task generation. We have defined a sub‐architecture that corresponds to each action of a task plan, and provides a way of using the limited resources by minimizing redundant software components and maintaining essential components for the current action. To support the optimization of resource consumption, we have developed a two‐phase optimization process, which is composed of the topological and temporal optimization steps. We have conducted an experiment with these mechanisms for an infotainment robot, and simulated the optimization process. This paper deals with verb-verb morphological disambiguation of two different verbs that have the same inflected form. The verb-verb morphological ambiguity (VVMA) is one of the critical Korean parts of speech (POS) tagging issues. The recognition of verb base forms related to ambiguous words highly depends on the lexical information in their surrounding contexts and the domains they occur in. However, current probabilistic morpheme-based POS tagging systems cannot handle VVMA adequately since most of them have a limitation to reflect a broad context of word level, and they are trained on too small amount of labeled training data to represent sufficient lexical information required for VVMA disambiguation.In this study, we suggest a classifier based on a large pool of raw text that contains sufficient lexical information to handle the VVMA. The underlying idea is that we automatically generate the annotated training set applicable to the ambiguity problem such as VVMA resolution via unlabeled unambiguous instances which belong to the same class. This enables to label ambiguous instances with the knowledge that can be induced from unambiguous instances. Since the unambiguous instances have only one label, the automatic generation of their annotated corpus are possible with unlabeled data.In our problem, since all conjugations of irregular verbs do not lead to the spelling changes that cause the VVMA, a training data for the VVMA disambiguation are generated via the instances of unambiguous conjugations related to each possible verb base form of ambiguous words. This approach does not require an additional annotation process for an initial training data set or a selection process for good seeds to iteratively augment a labeling set which are important issues in bootstrapping methods using unlabeled data. Thus, this can be strength against previous related works using unlabeled data. Furthermore, a plenty of confident seeds that are unambiguous and can show enough coverage for learning process are assured as well.We also suggest a strategy to extend the context information incrementally with web counts only to selected test examples that are difficult to predict using the current classifier or that are highly different from the pre-trained data set.As a result, automatic data generation and knowledge acquisition from unlabeled text for the VVMA resolution improved the overall tagging accuracy (token-level) by 0.04%. In practice, 9-10% out of verb-related tagging errors are fixed by the VVMA resolution whose accuracy was about 98% by using the Naïve Bayes classifier coupled with selective web counts.  相似文献

Currently, almost all hard disk drives (HDDs) have adopted a loading/unloading mechanism that increases their recording capacity and improves their reliability. However, these mechanisms still create a few scratches or defects in the loading/unloading zone. Slipping at the dimple–flexure interface was recently reported as one of the causes. In this research, we first analyzed the relative behavior of dimple–flexure based on fretting wear marks. We determined that the dimple–flexure behavior included both slipping and rotating motion simultaneously. We then verified the distinct slipping and rolling phenomenon at the moment of ramp contact using finite-element method (FEM) analysis. An experimental setup was constructed, and an unloading experiment was carried out to obtain the ramp contact characteristics corresponding to various unloading velocities. Based on the verified FEM, the characteristics of dimple–flexure relative behavior were investigated for various suspension design parameters, ramp contact characteristics, and unloading velocities. A higher ramp contact force and shorter contact duration resulted in larger slip displacements and roll angles between the dimple and the flexure. Finally, we analyzed the unloading performance of an HDD for various design parameters using quasi-static approximation while considering the relative behavior between the dimple and flexure. The quasi-static analysis indicated a change of approximately 15?% in the flying height at an unloading velocity of 40?in. per second when the relative motion between the dimple and flexure was considered during the unloading process. A conventional hard disk drive (HDD) spindle motor has a pulling plate to generate the axial magnetic force. However, the pulling plate consumes significant amount of iron loss due to the alternating magnetic field on the pulling plate. We propose the new design of a HDD spindle motor with pulling magnet to generate the pre-load as well as to eliminate the iron loss of the pulling plate. We also develop an optimal design methodology to minimize iron and copper losses from the spindle motor of a computer HDD while maintaining the same level of torque ripple and pulling force. The new design is optimized by the developed optimal design methodology. A metamodel is constructed from the three-dimensional finite element analysis of the magnetic field and the meta-modeling techniques, and the accuracies of the metamodels are discussed. The proposed optimal design problem is solved by the progressive quadratic approximation method. The proposed design reduces the electrical loss of the HDD spindle motor by 30.42?% while maintaining the same level of torque ripple and pulling force.  相似文献

Page-oriented holographic data storage (HDS) is very sensitive to disturbances that affect the position of the recording medium. Accordingly, a more precise tracking servo is required for the recording process, and is also crucial for achieving high storage density. A compensation method is therefore essential for HDS recording. In this paper, we suggest some discrete pre-patterns for the tracking servo used in the recording process. This method is motivated by a tracking servo technique for a hard disk drive. Firstly, in designing the pattern shape, HDS characteristics are taken into account. Secondly, track error signals are analyzed. Thirdly, the discrete pre-pattern intervals are determined according to the track tolerance. Lastly, the feasibility of the new method is analyzed via simulations and experiments.  相似文献

In this study, a simple method for the fabrication of high aspect ratio silicon nanoporous arrays is developed. A N-type silicon wafer is used as the substrate material. A micro-scale pattern of the desired porous array is transferred to the front surface of the silicon wafer by photolithography after which the wafer is placed in a home-made fixture to efficiently expel the etching generated air and promptly hold the back-side illumination light. A halogen lamp is used as the light source for backside illumination to enhance the electron–hole pair generation. An anodization process is then carried out using a new etchant consisting of hydrofluoric acid and mixed EtOH and EMSO surfactant to effectively polish the pore surfaces and sharpen the tips of the etched pores. A nanochannel array with a nano-tip of 61.4?nm is obtained.  相似文献

Economic lot-scheduling problem (ELSP) has been studied since the 1950??s. ELSP deals with the scheduling of the production of several items on a single facility in a cyclical pattern. The facility can only produce one single item at a time, and there is a set-up cost and set-up time associated with each item. Because of the rapid development of many emerging markets nowadays, many common items are produced in different places in order to satisfy the demands in different markets. This becomes the multi-facilities ELSP problems. In ELSP problems, it is known that if more items types to be produced by the facility, the production frequency of each item type will increase because of the balancing of the production rate and the demand rate. Consequently, the number of set-up time and set-up cost increases accordingly. Thus, reallocating the common items, which can be produced in any facilities, to be produced only on certain facility can certainly reduce the number of production frequency, and lead to lower related costs. The objective of this paper is to propose an optimization methodology combining Integer Programming and Genetic Algorithm to solve multi-facility ELSP problems. This paper proposes to divide the main problem into a master problem and sub-problems, which are solved by Integer Programming and Genetic Algorithm respectively. To demonstrate the significance of reallocating the common items and aggregating them to produce in certain facility, several models have been designed and tested. The comparison of the models demonstrates the reduction of the costs benefited by result of common items reallocation.  相似文献

Similarity measure construction has been proposed as fault detection of flight test method in order to obtain the primary control surface stuck and the combination stuck of primary control. Similarity measures were obtained through analyzing the certainty and uncertainty of fuzzy membership functions, which were designed based on well-known Hamming distance. It was applied to the fault detection of primary control surface stuck of uninhabited aerial vehicle (UAV). At post-failure control surface, if the UAV is controllable and trimmable using other control surfaces, the UAV is able to fly or return to the safety region through reconfiguration of flight control system. To detect the fault, similarity measure computations were carried out. This result could be applicable with the real-time parameter estimation method. By monitoring the value of coefficients due to the control surface deviation, it becomes aware that the control surface fault occurs or not. The control surface stuck position and value were separated by comparing the trim value with the reference value. This is the advantage of increasing in reliability without adding sensors or with additional low cost.  相似文献

PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) as well as enterprise information systems commonly use the BOM (Bill of Material) as a means of communication during product development. BOM has been used for product design, production scheduling, procurement, manufacturing and maintenance as it contains the part list of a subassembly or assembly product. BOM currently plays a key role in the PLM environment because it is an essential product information platform in the industry. In practice, product data should be arranged based on the BOM and product structure. Many shipyards or PLM vendors have attempted to develop a PLM adequate for shipbuilding. However, it is always the premise of the successful PLM implementation to prepare the efficient product structure and BOM.This paper suggests an enterprise BOM which addresses the hierarchy of parts and assembly, product structure and product information of outfitting equipment in marine vessel design. In order to express the evolution of product structures and outfitting information during the ship design, the enterprise BOM is modeled by the structure BOM and the display BOM. Concepts are developed for modeling all levels of product relations with a uniform set of relationships supported by the enterprise BOM. It is shown that the architecture of the structure BOM can be used to define the relationships between assemblies, parts, and a multi-view of an evolutional BOM in ship design. The architecture of the outfitting BOM is also presented using an example of a piping system.  相似文献
