Diversity combining methods for mobile satellite communication systems employing convolutional encoding and soft-decision Viterbi decoding are evaluated. Computer simulation clarifies that the pre-Viterbi-decoding maximal ratio combining method has better performance than other methods in Rician fading channels. The simulation results agree with the Pe (bit error probability) performance derived from the numerical analysis for slow fading using the approximate Pe performance of Viterbi decoding in AWGN (additive white Gaussian noise) channels and the probability density function of Rician fading. Applying this diversity method to the multi-beam mobile satellite communication systems, a satellite beam diversity reception scheme is proposed. Photoinduced cross-links between the iodinated Lys26-p-azidobenzoyl derivative of neurotoxin II from Naja naja oxiana cobra venom and nicotinic acetylcholine receptor from Torpedo californica (AChR) have been studied in the presence of alpha-conotoxin GI from the marine snail C. geographus. Preincubation of the AChR-enriched membranes with increasing concentrations of alpha-conotoxin GI protects first the gamma subunit from photolabelling and then the delta subunit, the IC50 values being 0.76 and 5.01 microM, respectively. The results obtained, in view of the relevant data in literature, demonstrate that the (alpha + gamma) site, which is the high affinity site for d-tubocurarine, has also a higher affinity for an alpha-conotoxin than the (alpha + delta) containing site. The latter has a somewhat higher affinity than the (alpha + gamma) site towards some naturally occurring snake venom alpha-neurotoxins or their derivatives. 相似文献

Low-threshold, highly reliable 630 nm-band AlGaInP visible laser diodes have been developed by employing a low-loss optical waveguide buried in the AlInP layer. A low-threshold current of 19 mA at 25°C is obtained with a cavity length of 310 μm. This current is the lowest value for 630 nm-band AlGaInP visible laser diodes, to our knowledge. A canine metallothionein cDNA obtained from the liver of a cadmium-treated beagle was cloned and sequenced. Asn at position 4 conserved among all mammalian metallothionein-1 and metallothionein-2 is replaced by Asp in the canine metallothionein cDNA clone. Because the acidic amino acid doesn't exist at either position 10 or 11 in the deduced amino acid sequence, it is supposed that this cDNA is derived from canine metallothionein-1 mRNA. Northern blot analysis using the cDNA as a probe revealed the induction of the canine metallothionein mRNA expression in the liver and kidney of a cadmium-treated beagle. Thus, the canine metallothionein cDNA obtained in the present study should provide an useful tool for the molecular investigation of metallothionein in dog. 相似文献

Optical and electronic properties of cobalt-doped zinc oxide films prepared by the sputtering method
In-doped ZnO, Co-doped ZnO and Li-doped NiO are successively deposited on quartz by the sputtering method. A current versus voltage curve of the three-layer device, in which the Indoped ZnO and Li-doped NiO are used as electrodes, reveals that the In-doped ZnO is an ohmic electrode and the Li-doped NiO is a blocking electrode with respect to electron injection. In photocurrent spectra of the three-layer device, there are two distinct peaks around 410 and 640 nm. The former is ascribed to the photoionization caused by the electric-dipole transition from the ground states,4A2(F), to the conduction band, and the latter to the thermal emission from electronic excited states of Co2+,4T1(P). 相似文献

The distribution ratios of Fe and B between molten Fe–B alloy and molten Ag were measured at temperatures between 1573 and 1923 K. Also, distribution ratios of Fe and B between molten Fe–B–Csatd. alloys and molten Ag were measured at 1873 K. It was found that the excess Gibbs free energy of mixing in molten Fe–B and Fe–B–C alloys can be expressed by utilizing the Redlich–Kister polynomial. The objective of the present study is to develop multi-functioned coating to the components, which are made of copper with electroplated Ni and are widely used for steel making industry. In this paper, we report the mechanical and thermal properties of Ni based superalloys with carbide sprayed by high velocity oxygen fuel (HVOF), and the detailed effects of sprayed material, spraying conditions, and initial powder structure on these properties. It was found that, among commercial Ni self-fluxing alloys (without fusing treatment), coating with a carbon content of 0.58 mass% had the most preferable properties, with a good balance of the hardness, strength, and thermal shock resistance. The thermal shock resistance depended not only on the strength of the coating but also on the volume contraction when tested at high temperatures. For the several developed Ni based superalloys with carbide, Ni20Cr8Mo5Fe–WC and Ni16Cr15Mo3–WC demonstrated the prominent adhesion strength and thermal shock resistance with high Galvanic corrosion resistance through optimized spraying condition. Also, 20 mass% NiCr–Cr3C2 coating sprayed by using employed relatively small primary particle succeeded in achieving the multi-superior properties; high adhesion strength, high corrosion resistance and thermal shock resistance. 相似文献

We characterized the L-carnitine transport system which is defective in the kidney of juvenile visceral steatosis (JVS) mice by using kidney slices and carnitine-related compounds, and evaluated the influence of the transport defect on the biosynthetic pathway of carnitine. The JVS mouse transport system defect, calculated as the difference in the transport activity between control and JVS mice, was simulated in control by gamma-butyrobetaine (gamma-BB) and acetyl L-carnitine. gamma-BB hydroxylase activity in the liver of JVS mice was double that of control mice, but the hepatic level of gamma-BB in JVS mice was lower than in control mice, suggesting that the conversion of gamma-BB to carnitine is not activated in the liver of JVS mice. JVS mice showed higher fractional excretions not only of L-carnitine but also of gamma-BB and acetyl L-carnitine than control mice, indicating disturbed reabsorption of gamma-BB and acetyl L-carnitine. The disturbed reabsorption of gamma-BB in JVS mice is consistent with the fact that the amount of urinary gamma-BB in JVS mice was four times that of control. The sum of the concentrations of L-carnitine, acetyl L-carnitine and gamma-BB in the urine of JVS mice was not significantly different from that of the control, suggesting no remarkable increase of biosynthesis of gamma-BB and carnitine in JVS mice. All these findings suggest that the carnitine transport system plays a role in the transport of gamma-BB and that carnitine deficiency is aggravated by the disturbed reabsorption of gamma-BB in the kidney. 相似文献
