In the present work, benzyl triethanol ammonium chloride (BTEAC) was employed as a reactive bactericidal additive for preparing of polyurethane coatings. In this regard, castor oil as a renewable resource-based polyol, polyethylene glycol (PEG1000), and BTEAC were reacted with toluene diisocyanate. Physical, mechanical, and thermal characteristics as well as biocompatibility and antibacterial properties of polyurethanes were evaluated. The prepared polyurethanes showed two-phase structure with soft and hard segments glass transition temperature transitions in the range of 18–70 and 85–153 °C, respectively. Initial modulus and tensile strength were improved for coatings with higher BTEAC content, while elongation at break and thermal stability were decreased. Hydrophilicity of coatings was increased for polyurethanes based on higher content of BTEAC and PEG1000. Polyurethanes with higher BTEAC content showed better cytocompatibility for mouse L929 fibroblast cells. Moreover, coatings with higher hydrophilicity and BTEAC content displayed superior antibacterial activity against both Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.  相似文献

Scaffolds and their features play a central role in tissue engineering; so this study is based on the production of a series of electrospun PHB/Chitosan/nBG nanocomposite scaffolds with 9 wt% polyhydroxybutyrate, 10, 15 and 20 wt% chitosan and 7.5, 10 and 15 wt% nanobioglass (nBG). Electrospinning process was performed with optimal conditions of spinning machine including voltage of 16 kV, syringe-collector spacing of 16 cm, and output rate of 1 µl per hour. The developed phases and the formation of chemical bonds between ceramic and polymer bands were studied through XRD and FTIR analyses. The FE-SEM and TEM analyses showed uniform morphology of nanofibers and dispersion of bioglass nanoparticles in the fiber structure. The presence of 10 wt% bioglass nanoparticles and 15 wt% chitosan increased the tensile strength of fibers to 3.42 MPa, which was about four times greater than strength of control sample (pure PHB). The developed fibers were kept 28 days in SBF solution and 60 days in PBS solution to assess their bioactivity and biodegradability. The results showed that the presence of bioglass nanoparticles leads to a dramatic increase in absorption of calcium and phosphorus ions and weight loss of scaffold. The developed scaffold can be used for bone and teeth tissue engineering applications.  相似文献

The Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix (QSPM) is a useful tool to prioritize strategies at any level including corporate, business and functional. The ratings and attractive scores used in QSPM, however, require judgmental decisions and should be based on expert's opinion to ensure the applicability of chosen strategies. Application of a fuzzy multi-criteria decision making method is proposed in this paper with the goal of improving the output of conventional QSPM by allowing the experts to employ linguistic terms (qualitative data) in their judgments. Namely, a multi-criteria decision making index via the technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is adapted to the fuzzy QSPM in finding the sum total attractive scores of strategies. As a case study, the proposed method has been applied for strategy prioritization in a Tile Company. The results have been verified with expert knowledge and showed an improvement compared to the non-fuzzy QSPM.  相似文献

In this research, novel composite scaffolds consisting of silk fibroin and forsterite powder were prepared by a freeze-drying method. In addition, the effects of forsterite powder contents on the structure of the scaffolds were investigated to provide an appropriate composite for bone tissue engineering applications. The morphology studies using scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques showed that the forsterite ceramic was well distributed throughout the structures of SF/forsterite scaffolds. Furthermore, the forsterite powder (up to 40 wt%) was homogenously distributed within the silk fibroin as a matrix.  相似文献

To study the effect of chemical composition on microstructural features and mechanical properties of dissimilar joints between super duplex and austenitic stainless steels, welding was attempted by gas tungsten arc welding process with a super duplex (ER2594) and an austenitic (ER309LMo) stainless steel filler metal. While the austenitic weld metal had vermicular delta ferrite within austenitic matrix, super duplex stainless steel was mainly comprised of allotriomorphic grain boundary and Widmanstätten side plate austenite morphologies in the ferrite matrix. Also the heat-affected zone of austenitic base metal comprised of large austenite grains with little amounts of ferrite, whereas a coarse-grained ferritic region was observed in the heat-affected zone of super duplex base metal. Although both welded joints showed acceptable mechanical properties, the hardness and impact strength of the weld metal produced using super duplex filler metal were found to be better than that obtained by austenitic filler metal.  相似文献

In this work, we present the preparation of polylactic acid (PLLA)/polyaniline (PANI) conductive composite nanofibers mats. They are prepared by bulk oxidative solution polymerization of PANI onto electrospun non‐woven fibers mats of PLLA. The PANI ratio in the composite is about 70%w/w. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows that PLLA nanofibers are randomly oriented, beads free with diameters of 186 ± 85 nm, The PLLA/PANI composite nanofibers diameter values are 518 ± 128 nm with a good adherence between PANI and PLLA nanofibers. DSC and XRD measurements reveal an amorphous structure of the electrospun PLLA fibers due to the rapid evaporization of the solvent. FTIR and UV–vis spectra reflect good mutual interactions between PANI and PLLA chains. The DC‐conductivities ( ) far better than other published ones for similar composites prepared by bulk oxidative solution polymerization of PANI onto other electrospun nanofiber mats or with electrospun nanofibers from a solution mixture of PLLA and PANI. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Uncertainties should be considered in any time–cost trade‐off problems when minimizing project cost and duration, which leads to the so‐called stochastic time–cost trade‐off problem. A new approach to investigate stochastic time–cost trade‐off problems employing fuzzy logic theory is presented. The proposed approach fully embeds the fuzzy structure of the uncertainties in total direct cost into the model. An appropriate GA is used to develop a solution to the multi‐objective fuzzy time cost model. The accepted risk level of the project manager is defined through α cut approach for which a separate Pareto front with set of non‐dominated solutions has been developed. To compare the alternative set of options for any assumed project duration, associated fuzzy costs for different values of α cut are ranked employing two appropriate approaches for fuzzy costs comparison. The proposed models are applied to solve two benchmark test problems. It is shown that the models facilitate the decision‐making process by selecting specified risk levels and employing the associated Pareto front.  相似文献

Many polymeric materials have been developed and introduced for bone regeneration. Especially, their nanofibrous forms are mostly applied for artificial extracellular matrices. Polymeric materials in their nanofibrous form show some potent properties such as high surface‐to‐volume ratio, tunable porosity, and ease of surface functionalization. Benefiting from the properties of their main polymer and additives, they can provide new opportunities for cell seeding, proliferation, and new 3D‐tissue formation. This article focuses on most cited polymeric nanofibrous scaffolds fabricated by electrospinning and recent achievements. They were divided into two main categories: natural (collagen, silk, keratin, gelatin, chitosan, and alginate) and synthetic (e.g., polycaprolactone, polylactic acid, and polyglycolic acid) polymers. The role of several additives like hydroxyapatite, bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs), tricalcium phosphate, and collagen type I in improving the adhesion, differentiation, and tissue formation of stem cells were discussed. Finally, the osteogenic capacity and ability of nanofibrous scaffolds to support the growth of clinically relevant bone tissue were briefly studied. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Appl. Polym.
