Accurate cost estimation is essential for any Engineering–Procurement–Construction (EPC) contractor accepting profitable projects because the project price is determined prior to receiving the contract. Therefore the contractor needs to ensure engineering man-hours (MH) in order to estimate project costs accurately as well as carry out the accepted orders. In this paper, we develop MH based order acceptance strategies and investigate their effects on the total expected profit through a long-term operation in EPC projects under a competitive bidding situation. To this end we build a simulation model describing relations among the volume of MH for cost estimation, accepted orders, revenues, and profits in EPC projects. Using our model, we show that the strategy, which maintains the appropriate balance of MH for cost estimation and project execution under the variability of accepted orders with competitive bidding situations, improves the total expected profit in EPC projects.  相似文献

In this study, mechanical behaviors of pure magnesium polycrystals are numerically investigated. The homogenization method, which combines the crystal and macroscopic scales, is introduced to include the effect of crystalline scale behaviors. The polycrystal plasticity model modified for pure magnesium, in which twinning is considered as asymmetric slip-like deformation, is utilized as a constitutive equation. Within this framework, numerical convergence analyses are conducted, and a representative volume element to present realistic deformation of pure magnesium is investigated. Second, polycrystalline behaviors of pure magnesium are investigated. The present approach is shown to reproduce the typical phenomena induced by crystalline scale structure in pure magnesium: nonuniform strain distribution, asymmetric crystal lattice orientation, strength differential effect, and strongly anisotropic initial and subsequent yield surfaces.  相似文献

Surface modification of diamond-like carbon (DLC) film was performed using a hyperthermal atomic fluorine beam on the purpose of production of hydrophobic surface by maintaining the high hardness of DLC film. By the irradiation of atomic fluorine beam of a 1.0 × 1020 atoms/cm2, the contact angle of a water drop against the DLC surface increased from 73° to 111°. The formation of CF3, CF2 and CF bonding on the modified DLC surface was confirmed from the measurements of X-ray photoelectron spectra and near-edge X-ray absorption fine structure spectra. Irradiation of hyperthermal atomic fluorine beam was concluded to produce insulator fluorine-terminated DLC film, which has high F content on the surface, by the taking of the use of neutral atomic beam as a fluorine source.  相似文献

Many types of cells release phospholipid membrane vesicles thought to play key roles in cell-cell communication, antigen presentation, and the spread of infectious agents. Extracellular vesicles (EVs) carry various proteins, messenger RNAs (mRNAs), and microRNAs (miRNAs), like a “message in a bottle” to cells in remote locations. The encapsulated molecules are protected from multiple types of degradative enzymes in body fluids, making EVs ideal for delivering drugs. This review presents an overview of the potential roles of EVs as natural drugs and novel drug-delivery systems.  相似文献

Anatase titanium(Ⅳ) oxide(TiO_2) particles with exposed {001} and {101} facets were prepared by hydrothermal treatment of amorphous TiO_2 with H_2O_2-NH_3 solution. Crystal phase, shape, and size of TiO_2 particles are found to be greatly dependent on the ratio of H_2O_2-NH_3 solution. The prepared TiO_2 particles with specific exposed crystal faces show higher photocatalytic activity for acetaldehyde decomposition than commercial spherical TiO_2 particles. This result implies that recombination is prevented by spatial separation of redox sites in the particles because of selective migration of electrons and positive holes to specific exposed crystal faces and/or different reactivity of electrons and positive holes on the specific exposed crystal face.  相似文献

Unconventional pretreatment, that is, delignification and the addition of guanidine phosphate, was performed for the synthesis of activated carbon having a high specific surface area from bamboo by physical activation. The values of the specific surface area, total pore volume, and average pore size depended on the amount of added guanidine phosphate and the CO2 activation time. The amount of the added guanidine phosphate under the optimum conditions for the highest specific surface area was much lower than that of the phosphorous acid chemical activator under conventional conditions. The N2 adsorption isotherms of all the samples were type I, which means that micropores were dominant. The pore sizes of the samples in this study were similar to that of the physically-activated carbon. Therefore, the activation process was presumed to be essentially not chemical, but physical. The relation between the yield and the specific surface area improved with the addition of guanidine phosphate. The reason for the improvement may be the change in the reactivity of the carbon material generated during the heating process. The maximum specific surface area was ca. 2000 m2 g?1, which is a high value for a physically-activated carbon.  相似文献

The grain boundary segregation of phosphorus and alloying elements in the heat-affected zone (HAZ) of a low alloy steel was studied quantitatively with atom probe tomography. Non-equilibrium segregation mainly occurred during welding and subsequent fast cooling, leading to remarkable segregation of P, C, Mn, and Mo. The segregation of these four types of solutes showed similar microstructure-dependence at this stage, in which the segregation levels are higher in coarse-grained HAZ and intercritically reheated coarse-grained HAZ than in fine-grained HAZ. After simulated aging, P and Mn showed further enrichment at grain boundaries through equilibrium segregation, while desegregation was observed for C and Mo. In addition, it seems that precipitation of Mo at dislocations was greatly promoted during aging, which probably also contributed to the increase of P and Mn at grain boundaries.  相似文献
