The streams and rivers are considered hotspots of CO2 exchange; and representative direct CO2 emission measurements are essential for a correct regional estimate. We measured CO2 emission flux at 15 sites at land–water interface downstream of a point source during low flow for three consecutive months for the year 2017. The general range of CO2 efflux observed here was close to the results of regional studies, although values near the point source were disproportionately high (>350 mg/m2/h). CO2 emission flux showed strong dependence on total organic carbon (TOC; R2 = 0.96; P < 0.001), (R2 = 0.88; P < 0.001), soluble reactive‐P (SRP; R2 = 0.91; P < 0.001) and microbial activity measured in terms of fluorescein diacetate activity (FDAase; R2 = 0.92; P < 0.001) and substrate induced respiration (SIR; R2 = 0.96; P < 0.001). Because point source‐associated interfaces provide heterogeneous habitats, our study suggests the need for large scale monitoring of CO2 emission at land–water interface of major rivers for more correctly presenting the regional scale CO2 budget.  相似文献

The main objective of this study was to examine the removal of oil from water by expanded and hydrophobized vermiculite. A pH of 9 showed a higher removal efficiency of oil by vermiculite. Oil removal efficiencies at pH 9 were found to be 79%, 93%, 90%, 57% for standard mineral oil (SMO), Canola oil (CO), Kutwell oil (KUT45), refinery effluent (RE), respectively, in the case of expanded vermiculite, and 56%, 58%, 47%, 43% for SMO, CO, KUT45 and RE, respectively, for hydrophobized vermiculite. Kinetic data satisfied both the Lagergren and Ho models. Equilibrium studies showed that the Langmuir isotherm was the best-fit isotherm for oil removal by both expanded and hydrophobized vermiculite. The data showed a higher adsorptive capacity by the expanded vermiculite compared to the hydrophobized vermiculite. Desorption studies showed that the expanded vermiculite did not desorb oil to the same extent compared to hydrophobized vermiculite. The Freundlich isotherm was the best-fit model for desorption. Expanded vermiculite showed better retention than hydrophobic vermiculite. The results showed that the expanded vermiculite had a greater affinity for oil than hydrophobized vermiculite.  相似文献

Porous high surface area thin films of nanosheet-shaped monoclinic MoO(3) were deposited onto platinized Si substrates using patch antenna-based atmospheric microplasma processing. The films were characterized by high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and electrochemical analysis. The electrochemical analysis shows original redox peaks and high charge capacity, and also indicates a reversible electrochemical behaviour particularly beneficial for applications in Li-ion batteries. SEM shows that the films are highly porous and consist of nanosheets 50-100 nm thick with surface dimensions in the micrometre range. HRTEM reveals that the MoO(3) nanosheets consist of the monoclinic beta phase of MoO(3). These intricate nanoarchitectures made of monoclinic MoO(3) nanosheets have not been studied previously in the context of applications in Li-ion batteries and show superior structural and morphological features that enable effective insertion of Li ions.  相似文献

Acyclovir is a potent anti-viral agent useful in the treatment of Herpes Simplex Virus (HSV) infections. Acyclovir exerts its antiviral activity by competitive inhibition of viral DNA through selective binding of acyclovir to HSV-thymidine kinase. The main purpose of this work was to develop self-microemulsifying drug delivery system (SMEDDS) for oral bioavailability enhancement of acyclovir. Solubility of acyclovir was determined in various vehicles. SMEDDS is mixture of oils, surfactants, and co-surfactants, which are emulsified in aqueous media under conditions of gentle agitation and digestive motility that would be encountered in the gastro-intestinal (GI) tract. Pseudoternary phase diagrams were constructed to identify the efficient self-emulsifying region dilution study was also performed for optimization of formulation. SMEDDS was evaluated for its percentage transmittance, Assay of SMEDDS, phase separation study, droplet size analysis, zeta potential, electrophoretic mobility, and viscosity. The developed SMEDDS formulation contained acyclovir (50 mg), Tween 60 (60%), glycerol (30%) and sunflower oil (9%) was compared with the pure drug solution by oral administrating to male albino rats. The absorption of acyclovir from SMEDDS form resulted about 3.5 fold increase in bioavailability compared with the pure drug solution. Our studies illustrated the potential use of SMEDDS for the delivery of hydrophobic compounds such as acyclovir by oral route.  相似文献

This study presents a quantum secret sharing (QSS) protocol designed using Grover's search algorithm in a noisy environment. The proposed protocol utilizes Grover's three-particle quantum state. The proposed scheme is divided into secret information sharing and eavesdropping checking. The dealer prepares an encoded state by encoding the classical information as a marked state and shares the states' qubits between three participants. Using the amplitude-damping noise and the phase-damping noise as conventional noisy channels, it can be demonstrated that secret information can be conveyed between participants with some information lost. The security analysis shows the scheme is stringent against malicious participants or eavesdroppers. The simulation analysis is done on the cloud platform IBM-QE thereby showing the practical feasibility of the scheme. Finally, an application of the proposed scheme is demonstrated in visual cryptography using the GNEQR representation of images.  相似文献

A potential driven self-assembly of sodium dodecyl sulfate/tungsten oxide aggregates at the electrolyte-electrode interface followed by template extraction and annealing yielded mesoporous thin films of electrochromic tungsten oxide (WO(3)). Electron microscopy images revealed that the films are characterized by a hitherto unreported hybrid structure comprising nanoparticles and nanorods with a tetragonal crystalline phase of WO(3) with the measured lattice parameters: a = 0.53?nm and c = 0.37?nm. In addition to pentagonal voids characteristic of the tetragonal WO(3) phase at the lattice scale, open channels and pores of 5-10?nm in diameter lie between the nanoparticles, which cumulatively promote rapid charge transport through the film. This resulted in colouration efficiency (η(max)~90?cm(2)?C(-1) at λ = 900?nm) and switching kinetics (colouration time = 3?s and bleaching time = 2?s for a 50% change in transmittance) higher and faster than previously reported values for mesoporous WO(3) films. Repetitive cycling between the clear and blue states has no deleterious effect on the electrochromic performance of the film, which is suggestive of its potential as a cathode in practical electrochromic windows.  相似文献

The influence of varying relative humidity (RH55 and 75%) during thin film deposition from an oxalato-acetylated peroxotungstic acid sol by dip coating, on the microstructure and electrochromic properties of pristine tungsten oxide (WO3) films obtained upon annealing is presented. The films fabricated under a relative humidity of 55% are amorphous whereas the ones cast under a substantially humid atmosphere (RH75%) are characterized by interconnected nanocrystallites with a triclinic phase and a nanoporous surface morphology as well. Upon lithium insertion, larger integrated values of transmission modulation and coloration efficiency are observed over the photopic and solar regions, for the films prepared under a RH75% as compared to that observed for the films deposited under a RH of 55%. Functional improvements are due to the larger surface area of nanocrystallites and a porous microstructure, a consequence of a higher degree of hydration and hydroxylation in the former films in contrast to the non-porous and a rather featureless structure of the latter films. Faster switching kinetics between the clear and blue states, a greater current density for lithium intercalation, a higher diffusion coefficient for lithium and a superior cycling stability, again shown by the film fabricated under a 75% RH confirm that the WO3 film microstructure is most conducive for a more facile ion insertion–extraction process, which hints at its potential for electrochromic window applications.  相似文献

Acid soluble collagen (ASC) and pepsin-soluble collagen (PSC) from the outer skin waste of marine eel fish (Evenchelys macrura) were isolated and characterized. The prepared collagen was used to test its effective drug delivering potential in vitro condition. Present results were confirmed as collagen by different physico-chemical techniques like SDS-PAGE, HPLC, FTIR and SEM. Further amino acid analysis corroborates isolation of type I collagen. Both ASC and PSC comprising two different α-chains (α 1 and α 2) were characterized as type I and contained imino acid of 190-200 residues, respectively. The denaturation temperatures (T(d)) of ASC and PSC were 38.5 and 35.0?°C, respectively, which is promising as an advantage for biomedical application due to closeness in T(d) to mammalian collagen. Furthermore, the gel and film forming capability of collagen samples containing implant standard antibiotic was proved to be a suitable drug delivering system.  相似文献

In this work, we have presented a spin-coating method to produce thin films started with pure BiCrO_3(BCO) and ended up with BiFeO_3(BFO) by increasing x values in the(BiFeO_3)_x–(BiCrO_3)_(1-x)composites. All the produced thin films have been crystallized at the annealing temperatures of 400 °C for 0.5 h. The XRD and EDAX spectrums give insight that the two crystal phases related to BCO and BFO stayed together within the thin film matrices. SEM analysis showed that the prepared composite had macroporous morphology with interconnected pores and its width(size) decreased with increasing x values. The strong correlations are observed among the microstructure, dielectric, ferroelectric, ferromagnetic properties and Fe concentration. Among all composites, the composition of 0.75 shows an attractive magnetization, polarization, switching and improved dielectric behaviors at room temperature. Significant increase in the multiferroic characteristics of 0.75 composition is due to arise of lower leakage current by causing reduction in oxygen vacancy density, and enhancement of super-exchange magnetic interaction between Fe~(3+) and Cr~(3+) at BFO/BCO interface layers. Our result shows that the thin layer on Pt(111)/Ti/SiO_2/Si substrate possesses simultaneously improved ferroelectric and ferromagnetic properties which make an inaccessible potential application for nonvolatile ferroelectric memories.  相似文献
