Attenuation and velocity measurements at ultrasonic frequencies were performed in two ferroelectric solid solutions with tungsten bronze structure type, SBN and PBN, as a function of temperature (from 200 to 380 K). Both materials, in polycrystalline form, presented sensitive changes in the temperature dependence curves of attenuation and velocity. One of these anomalies (at 350 K for SBN and 323 K for PBN) was associated with a second-order phase transition, confirming the ferroelectric orthorhombic–ferroelectric tetragonal phase transition suggested for both systems in this temperature range.  相似文献

In this paper, a simple and effective tool for the design of low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes for iterative correction of bursts of erasures is presented. The design method consists of starting from the parity-check matrix of an LDPC code and developing an optimized parity-check matrix, with the same performance over the memoryless erasure channel, and suitable also for the iterative correction of single erasure bursts. The parity-check matrix optimization is performed by an algorithm called pivot searching and swapping (PSS) algorithm. It executes permutations of carefully chosen columns of the parity-check matrix, after a local analysis of particular variable nodes called stopping set pivots. This algorithm can be in principle applied to any LDPC code. If the input parity-check matrix is designed to achieve a good performance over the memoryless erasure channel, then the code obtained after the application of the algorithm provides a good joint correction of independent erasures and single erasure bursts. Numerical results are provided in order to show the algorithm effectiveness when applied to different categories of LDPC codes.  相似文献

In this review we reported and discussed the structural features of the ATP-Binding Cassette (ABC) transporter ABCA3 and how the use of bioinformatics tools could help researchers to obtain a reliable structural model of this important transporter. In fact, a model of ABCA3 is still lacking and no crystallographic structures (of the transporter or of its orthologues) are available. With the advent of next generation sequencing, many disease-causing mutations have been discovered and many more will be found in the future. In the last few years, ABCA3 mutations have been reported to have important pediatric implications. Thus, clinicians need a reliable structure to locate relevant mutations of this transporter and make genotype/phenotype correlations of patients affected by ABCA3-related diseases. In conclusion, we strongly believe that the model preliminarily generated by these novel bioinformatics tools could be the starting point to obtain more refined models of the ABCA3 transporter.  相似文献

Radiometric corrections serve to remove the effects that alter the spectral characteristics of land features, except for actual changes in ground target, becoming mandatory in multi‐sensor, multi‐date studies. In this paper, we evaluate the effects of two types of radiometric correction methods (absolute and relative) for the determination of land cover changes, using Landsat TM and Landsat ETM+ images. In addition, we present an improvement made to the relative correction method addressed. Absolute correction includes a cross‐calibration between TM and ETM+ images, and the application of an atmospheric correction protocol. Relative correction normalizes the images using pseudo‐invariant features (PIFs) selected through band‐to‐band PCA analysis. We present a new algorithm for PIFs selection in order to improve normalization results. A post‐correction evaluation index (Quadratic Difference Index (QD)), and post‐classification and change detection results were used to evaluate the performance of the methods. Only the absolute correction method and the new relative correction method presented in this paper show good post‐correction and post‐classification results (QD index ≈ 0; overall accuracy >80%; kappa >0.65) for all the images used. Land cover change estimations based on uncorrected images present unrealistic change rates (two to three times those obtained with corrected images), which highlights the fact that radiometric corrections are necessary in multi‐date multi‐sensor land cover change analysis.  相似文献

Land surface temperature retrieval from LANDSAT TM 5   总被引:101,自引:0,他引:101  
In this paper, three methods to retrieve the land surface temperature (LST) from thermal infrared data supplied by band 6 of the Thematic Mapper (TM) sensor onboard the Landsat 5 satellite are compared. The first of them lies on the estimation of the land surface temperature from the radiative transfer equation using in situ radiosounding data. The others two are the mono-window algorithm developed by Qin et al. [International Journal of Remote Sensing 22 (2001) 3719] and the single-channel algorithm developed by Jiménez-Muñoz and Sobrino [Journal of Geophysical Research 108 (2003)]. The land surface emissivity (LSE) values needed in order to apply these methods have been estimated from a methodology that uses the visible and near infrared bands. Finally, we present a comparison between the LST measured in situ and the retrieved by the algorithms over an agricultural region of Spain (La Plana de Requena-Utiel). The results show a root mean square deviation (rmsd) of 0.009 for emissivity and lower than 1 K for land surface temperature when the Jiménez-Muñoz algorithm is used.  相似文献

The minimization of the functionalG(v)=H(S v)+ m·v- Ω k·v is related to various geometrical type problems in calculus of variations, such as the minimal partition of a set, the segmentation of images, and the search for sets with prescribed curvature. The functionalG is first regularized and next discretized by means of piecewise linear finite elements with numerical quadratures, thus allowing its actual minimization on a computer. The discrete functionals converge toG in the sense of Γ-convergence, which implies the convergence of the discrete minima to a minimum ofG. Various numerical experiments illustrate the behaviour of the numerical algorithm.  相似文献

Different psychopathological manifestations, such as affective, psychotic, obsessive-compulsive symptoms, and impulse control disturbances, may occur in most central nervous system (CNS) disorders including neurodegenerative and neuroinflammatory diseases. Psychiatric symptoms often represent the clinical onset of such disorders, thus potentially leading to misdiagnosis, delay in treatment, and a worse outcome. In this review, psychiatric symptoms observed along the course of several neurological diseases, namely Alzheimer’s disease, fronto-temporal dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Huntington’s disease, and multiple sclerosis, are discussed, as well as the involved brain circuits and molecular/synaptic alterations. Special attention has been paid to the emerging role of fluid biomarkers in early detection of these neurodegenerative diseases. The frequent occurrence of psychiatric symptoms in neurological diseases, even as the first clinical manifestations, should prompt neurologists and psychiatrists to share a common clinico-biological background and a coordinated diagnostic approach.  相似文献

HIFI is one of the Esprit III information-processing system and software projects. The goal of HIFI is to create a set of tools that can be used to cheaply and quickly build a hypertext-like interface on top of an external database-information system. The interface provides interactive navigational access to information both within a database of one kind and across databases of different kinds, including multimedia.
