Summary Acenaphthylene was polymerized in methylenedichloride at 273, 291 and 308 K by sulphuric acid. The initiation step takes place by addition of the proton of sulphuric acid to the monomer. The propagation step is through ion-pairs, and the propagation constants are first-order with respect to the monomer and initiator(kp = 0.22 M–1. s–1(273K), kp=0.88 M–1. s–1(291K), kp = 2.81 M–1. s–1 (308K)). There is not appreciable loss of active centres, being this confirmed by experiments carried out with succesive additions of monomer. The molecular weights obtained confirm the importance of processes to monomer in this polymerization.  相似文献

Assistant robots have received special attention from the research community in the last years. One of the main applications of these robots is to perform care tasks in indoor environments such as houses, nursing homes or hospitals, and therefore they need to be able to navigate robustly for long periods of time. This paper focuses on the navigation system of SIRA, a robotic assistant for elderly and/or blind people based on a Partially Observable Markov Decision Process (POMDP) to global localize the robot and to direct its goal-oriented actions. The main novel feature of our approach is that it combines sonar and visual information in a natural way to produce state transitions and observations in the framework of Markov Decision Processes. Besides this multisensorial fusion, a two-level layered planning architecture that combines several planning objectives (such as guiding to a goal room and reducing locational uncertainty) improves the robustness of the navigation system, as its shown in our experiments with SIRA navigating corridors.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: F. solani fungemia is unusual. Patients at risk are immunosuppressed, have underlying malignancy or severe debilitating diseases. METHODS: We report two cases of F. solani fungemia in two non neutropenic patients who had been treated with wide-spectrum antibiotics an/or systemic corticosteroids, parenteral nutrition and intravenous lines. Bactec NR-860 (Becton-Dickinson) system was used, and growth was detected in aerobic conditions (between 3-7 days of incubation). RESULTS: Removal of the catheters with or without i.v. amphotericin B were used successfully. CONCLUSION: The spectrum of Fusarium sp. fungemia is discussed. Current available antifungal therapy is also reviewed.  相似文献

A supramolecular solvent made up of reverse micelles of decanoic acid was proposed for the simple and rapid extraction of Sudan I, II, III and IV from chilli-containing foodstuffs. The procedure involved the extraction of minute quantities (0.5–1 g) of homogenised food sample with an aqueous solution containing 10% THF and 200 mg of decanoic acid, conditions under which the supramolecular solvent (around 330 μL) formed in situ and instantaneously. The overall sample treatment took about 30 min and several samples could be simultaneously treated using conventional lab equipment. No clean-up or solvent evaporation were required before determination of Sudan dyes by liquid chromatography and photometric detection. Extractions were independent of salt addition (up to 1 M), the temperature (up to 60 °C) and the pH (below 4) rendering the method robust. The detection limits of the method were 4.2, 2.7, 6.5 and 7.4 μg kg−1 for Sudan I, II, III and IV, respectively. Recoveries obtained by applying this approach to the analysis of six chilli-containing sauces fortified with Sudan dyes at the μg kg−1 level were in the interval 86–108% with relative standard deviations between 2% and 7%.  相似文献

The acerola (Malpighia emarginata Sessé y Moci?o ex DC) is a wild plant grown in zones of tropical and subtropical climate. Acerola is origin from South of Mexico, Central America and Septentrional area of South America. Its scientific name was adopted in 1986 by the International Council of Vegetable Genetic Resources. Malpighia emarginata has a subglobulose drupa fruit with three seeds which account between the 19 - 25% of the total weight. The diameter and weight of the fruit varies between 1 - 4 cm and 2 - 15 g, respectively. The fruit shows green color when it is developing, which changes to yellow and red tones when it is mature. Each plant produces annually 20 - 30 kg of fruits. This fruit contents macro and micronutrients: proteins (0.21-0.80 g/100 g), fats (0.23-0.80 g/100 g), carbohydrates (3.6-7.80 g/100 g), mineral salts (iron 0.24, calcium 11.7, phosphorus 17.1 mg/100 g) and vitamins (thiamine 0.02, riboflavine 0.07, piridoxine 8.7 mg/100 g). Its high content in vitamin C (695 a 4827 mg/100 g) is remarkable, therefore acerola has an increasing economic value by its great consume during last years. Acerola also presents carotenoids and bioflavonoids which provide important nutritive value and its potential use as antioxidant. Brazil has a climate and soil appropriate for the culture of acerola, thus this country is the main mundial productor. Acerola is commercialised as juices, jams, ices, gelatins, sweets or liquors. In this study, the characterization of the bacterial community present during the fermentation of pulque, a traditional Mexican alcoholic beverage from maguey (Agave), was determined for the first time by a polyphasic approach in which both culture and non-culture dependent methods were utilized. The work included the isolation of lactic acid bacteria (LAB), aerobic mesophiles, and 16S rDNA clone libraries from total DNA extracted from the maguey sap (aguamiel) used as substrate, after inoculation with a sample of previously produced pulque and followed by 6-h fermentation. Microbiological diversity results were correlated with fermentation process parameters such as sucrose, glucose, fructose and fermentation product concentrations. In addition, medium rheological behavior analysis and scanning electron microscopy in aguamiel and during pulque fermentation were also performed. Our results showed that both culture and non-culture dependent approaches allowed the detection of several new and previously reported species within the alpha-, gamma-Proteobacteria and Firmicutes. Bacteria diversity in aguamiel was composed by the heterofermentative Leuconostoc citreum, L. mesenteroides, L. kimchi, the gamma-Proteobacteria Erwinia rhapontici, Enterobacter spp. and Acinetobacter radioresistens. Inoculation with previously fermented pulque incorporated to the system microbiota, homofermentative lactobacilli related to Lactobacillus acidophilus, several alpha-Proteobacteria such as Zymomonas mobilis and Acetobacter malorum, other gamma-Proteobacteria and an important amount of yeasts, creating a starting metabolic diversity composed by homofermentative and heterofermentative LAB, acetic and ethanol producing microorganisms. At the end of the fermentation process, the bacterial diversity was mainly composed by the homofermentative Lactobacillus acidophilus, the heterofermentative L. mesenteroides, Lactococcus lactis subsp. lactis and the alpha-Proteobacteria A. malorum. After a 6-h fermentation, 83.27% of total sugars detected after inoculation were consumed (228.4 mM hexose equivalents) and a carbon (C) recovery of 66.18% in fermentation products was estimated. They were produced 284.4 mM C as ethanol, 71.5 mM C as acetic acid and 19 mM C as lactic acid, demonstrating the presence of homo- and heterofermentative, acetic and alcoholic metabolisms in the final product. It was also found, after hydrolysis, that the exopolysaccharide produced during the fermentation was mainly composed by fructose residues, probably inulin or levan.  相似文献

In this paper, the effects of micro-oxygenation before malolactic fermentation and oak chip treatments on Petit Verdot red wines have been evaluated. Our attention was focused on the colour characteristics, the phenolic compounds related to the colour of red wine, the volatile compounds, and the sensory characteristics of the wines. The micro-oxygenation treatment promoted the stabilisation of red wine colour by increasing the formation of colour-related phenolic compounds (higher concentrations of pyranoanthocyanins and anthocyanin-ethyl-flavan-3-ol adducts). Red wine aroma quality was improved with the addition of oak chips (eugenol and 4-vinyl-guaiacol concentration increased). Micro-oxygenation treatment resulted in higher scores for the plum/currant and spicy attributes, as well as the appearance of tobacco and nutty notes which were absent in the non-treated wines. Nevertheless, the typical oak chip aromas (vanilla and woody) were observed to a lesser extent in wines obtained by micro-oxygenation.  相似文献

The aim of this research was to investigate the effect of the addition of peel powder and/or its aqueous extract on physical and antioxidant characteristics of carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) edible films. Prickly pear peel powder and aqueous extract (2 and 4%) were characterized in color, bioactive compounds (betalains and total phenolic compounds), antioxidant capacity and reducing power. Edible films were prepared with CMC, glycerol, varying the dissolution medium (0, 2, or 4% aqueous extract from prickly pear peel) and peel powder (0, 1, or 2%) using a face-centered central composite design. Physical, mechanical, bioactive compounds, and antioxidant capacity properties were investigated in edible films. Prickly pear peel powder presented 58.8 ± 0.08 mg of betacyanins/100 g, 53.8 ± 0.2 mg of betaxanthins/100 g, 967.8 ± 20 mg Gallic acid equivalent (GAE)/100 g for total phenolic compounds, an antioxidant capacity equivalent to 420.9 ± 4.9 mg GAE/100 g and a reducing power of 879.1 ± 115.9 mg ascorbic acid equivalent (AAE)/100 g. High concentration of aqueous extract and peel powder in CMC films increased the bioactive compounds content, antioxidant capacity and reducing power. Films mechanical properties were not affected by the aqueous extract; nevertheless, were strongly affected by the peel powder. Response surface methodology was used to optimize edible films formulation with high antioxidant characteristics, being the optimal formulation 1.7% of peel powder plus 3.3% of aqueous extract. This study may be the base for exploitation of prickly pear peel as source of bioactive compounds with antioxidant capacity for their use in edible coatings.  相似文献

The potential of the tetrabutylammonium-induced liquid-liquid-phase separation in alkyl carboxylic acid vesicular solutions for the extraction of organic compounds prior to liquid chromatography was examined for the first time. The behavior of the coacervates yielded from octanoic to oleic acids as a function of the pH and salts was investigated. The time required for phase separation depended on the length of the carboxylic acid alkyl chain and the experimental procedure (i.e., standing, sonication, centrifugation, stirring, etc.). Theoretical preconcentration factors were a function of both surfactant concentration and the length of the alkyl chain, and they greatly surpassed those obtained with other surfactant-mediated separations (e.g., surfactant-rich phases from dodecanesulfonic acid or Triton X-114). Parameters affecting the extraction efficiency were assessed. Analytes in a wide polarity/charge range, (e.g., PAHs, surfactants, chlorophenols, bisphenols, phthalates, herbicides, amines, dyes, and photographic developers) were extracted with high efficiencies on the basis of the different types of interactions that the vesicular coacervates can establish (i.e., hydrophobic and ionic interactions, hydrogen bonds, and formation of mixed aggregates). The coacervates were compatible with the chromatographic determination of analytes following UV or MS detection. Their suitability for working under real conditions was checked by applying them to the extraction of nonionic surfactants [alkylphenol ethoxylates (octyl and nonyl) and alcohol ethoxylates (C12-C16)] from raw and treated sewage and to river water samples. Analytes in the coacervate were separated and quantified by liquid chromatography-ion trap mass spectrometry. No cleanup steps were necessary. Recoveries of the target compounds in the environmental water samples ranged from 89 to 103%.  相似文献

A number of countries with oligopolistic power industries have used marginal cost pricing to set the price of energy for small customers. This course of action, however, does not necessarily ensure an efficient outcome when competition is imperfect. The purpose of this paper is to study how the auction of long-term contracts could reduce market power. We do so in a two-firm, two-technology, linear-cost, static model where demand is summarized by a price inelastic load curve. In this context we show that the larger the proportion of total demand auctioned in advance, the lower are both the contract and the average spot price of energy.  相似文献
