A Chinese information processing system

The Chinese information processing system(CIPS)introduced in this paper can producegraphs,tables,flowcharts,mathematical equations,forms and also provides typesettingfacilities.The system can process not only Chinese text but also English text or a mixture ofthem.It is written in C language and runs on VAX Ⅱ/780 under Unix operating system.TheCIPS system is very easy to use and provides user-defined macro which allows abbreviationsof commonly used Chinese phrases and reduce the complexity of Chinese characters coding.     

A new class of detail-preserving filters for image processing

A new class of median type filters for image processing is proposed. In the filters, linear FIR substructures are used in conjunction with the median operation. The root signals and noise attenuation properties of the FIR-median hybrid filters are analyzed and compared to representative edge preserving filtering operations. The concept of multilevel median operation is introduced to improve the detail preserving property of conventional median and the FIR-median hybrid filters. In the multilevel filters there exists a tradeoff between noise attenuation and detail preservation. The analysis and examples indicate that FIR-median hybrid filters preserve details better and are computationally much more efficient than the conventional median and the K-nearest neighbor averaging filters.     

Modified quadratic discriminant functions and the application to chinese character recognition

Issues in the quadratic discriminant functions (QDF) are discussed and two types of modified quadratic disriminant functions (MQDF1, MQDF2) which are less sensitive to the estimation error of the covariance matrices are proposed. The MQDF1 is a function which employs a kind of a (pseudo) Bayesian estimate of the covariance matrix instead of the maximum likelihood estimate ordinarily used in the QDF. The MQDF2 is a variation of the MQDF1 to save the required computation time and storage. Two discriminant functions were applied to Chinese character recognition to evaluate their effectiveness, and remarkable improvement was observed in their performance.     

新型陶瓷与熔融盐复合蓄热材料优化组合的数值模拟

将高温熔融盐相变蓄热材料和陶瓷固相蓄热材料进行复合 ,成功地研制成了能快速吸热和放热且蓄热密度高、蓄热量大的新型复合蓄热材料。分别以Al2 O3 ,MgO ,SiC为代表的陶瓷材料与 6 0LiF 40NaF ,5 0LiF 5 0KF ,6 0 .1NaCl 39.9MgCl2 ,LiH等为代表的 10余种高温熔融盐材料为复合研究对象 ,对复合蓄热材料的蓄热密度等与温度、复合材料中熔融盐的含量、材料种类间的关系进行了数值模拟研究 ,得到了对复合材料的优化设计具有指导意义的结论     

CVD反应器传输过程的三维数学模型

提出了一个同时表示CVD过程的气体流动、温度分布和物质传输的三维数学模型。应用这个模型预报了在含有SiCl_4的氢气流中沉积出Si的锥台式反应器中的速度场、温度场和浓度场。所得的结果有助于增进对这类反应器中的传输过程的认识,模型亦可用于设计参数的最优化,诸如入口流量,锥台倾角等。
