The emf of the galvanic cell Pt|UMoO6 UMoO5 |ZrO2 -Y2 O3 |O2 (air, Po2 =0.21 atm)|Pt, measured from 776 to 1127 K, was determined to be E = 751.7−0.4909 ±4.3 mV. Using the standard Gibbs energy of formation, f ΔG°, for UMoO6 reported in the literature from transpiration studies, the f ΔG° for UMoO5 is calculated to be f ΔG°〈UMoO5 〉=−1816.9+0.3748T±6.0 U-mol−1 The magnitudes of the standard entropies of formation, f ΔS°, for UMoO6 and UMoO5 were evaluated from those values reported for the binary oxides which constitute the ternary compounds. 相似文献

A novel treatment of wastewater generated in the production of dinitrobenzene was examined. The method involves solid phase transformation of the wastewater by slaking with lime, followed by removal of the organics contained in the lime in a muffle furnace. The regenerated lime may be re-used, e.g., for the neutralization of acidic wastewaters resulting from the manufacture of m-aminophenol. This paper presents a new application of the dynamic iterated rippled noise (IRN) algorithm by generating dynamic pitch contours representative of those that occur in natural speech in the context of EEG and the frequency following response (FFR). Besides IRN steady state and linear rising stimuli, curvilinear rising stimuli were modeled after pitch contours of natural productions of Mandarin Tone 2. Electrophysiological data on pitch representation at the level of the brainstem, as reflected in FFR, were evaluated for all stimuli, static or dynamic. Autocorrelation peaks were observed corresponding to the fundamental period (tau) as well as spectral bands at the fundamental and its harmonics for both a low and a high iteration step. At the higher iteration step, both spectral and temporal FFR representations were more robust, indicating that both acoustic properties may be utilized for pitch extraction at the level of the brainstem. By applying curvilinear IRN stimuli to elicit FFRs, we can evaluate the effects of temporal degradation on 1) the neural representation of linguistically-relevant pitch features in a target population (e.g., cochlear implant) and 2) the efficacy of signal processing schemes in conventional hearing aids and cochlear implants to recover these features. 相似文献

In this work, the sugarcane bagasse fiber was used as a filler to make a new type of biodegradable composite, using the cardanol resin, as a fully biodegradable thermosetting polymer matrix. Biocomposite performance was improved by chemically modified bagasse fiber using alkaline treatment. Two sets of composites were prepared with a fiber length of 10 and 20 mm with various weight percentages viz., 0, 5, 10, 15, and 20 of cardanol resin using a compression molding machine. The mechanical properties were studied using some tests and the morphological study in flexural fractured specimens was carried out using SEM. The thermal properties of biodegradable polymer composites were evaluated using TGA. The chemical formation of the new biocomposites was also examined by the FT-IR spectroscopy technique. The result proved that the morphology of the composites has improved the bonding between the fiber and resin, thus leading to enhancement of the mechanical properties. The result had shown the tensile and flexural strength with an increase in the range of bagasse fiber up to 15 wt% in both the sets. The TGA results showed that biocomposites of 15 wt% in both sets had the highest thermal stability. This investigation recommended the possibility of introducing bio-fiber obtained from waste agricultural residues in polymer matrix composites. 相似文献

Can variation in durum wheat pasta protein and starch composition affect in vitro starch hydrolysis?
Pasta was prepared with modifications designed to alter its rate of digestion, including altering the ratio of A- to B-granules, incorporating higher amylose content, and varying the glutenin:gliadin ratio and HMW:LMW glutenin subunit ratio. The effects of these modifications were investigated using an in vitro hydrolysis method. A significant reduction in parameters related to glycaemic index was established for high amylose pastas and pastas with 40% B-granule composition, while most other modifications increased the rate of starch hydrolysis. All effects observed were small in comparison to the effect on glycaemic index previously obtained by addition of soluble fibres. 相似文献
