A novel method for the preparation of Al2 O3 –TiN nanocomposites was developed. A mixture of TiO2 , AlN, and Ti powder was used as the starting material to synthesize the Al2 O3 –TiN nanocomposite under 60 MPa at 1400°C for 6 min using spark plasma sintering. X-ray diffractometry, scanning electron microscopy, and transmission electron microscopy were used for detailed microstructural analysis. Dense (up to 99%) nanostructured Al2 O3 –TiN composites were successfully fabricated, the average grain size being less than 400 nm. The fracture toughness ( K I C ) and bending strength (σb ) of the nanostructured Al2 O3 –TiN composites reached 4.22±0.20 MPa·m1/2 and 746±28 MPa, respectively. 相似文献

Polymer blends of poly(propylene) (PP) and polyacetal (polyoxymethylene, POM) with ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymers were investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), rheological, tensile, and impact measurements, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The PP–POM–EVOH blends were extruded with a co‐rotating twin‐screw extruder. The ethylene group in the EVOH is partially miscible with PP, whereas the hydroxyl group in the EVOH can form hydrogen bonding with POM. The EVOH tends to reside along the interface, acting as a surfactant to reduce the interfacial tension and to increase the interfacial adhesion between the blends. Results from SEM and mechanical tests indicate that a small quantity of the EVOH copolymer or a smaller vinyl alcohol content in the EVOH copolymer results in a better compatibilized blend in terms of finer phase domains and better mechanical properties. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. SiC coatings on the surface of C-C were produced by either silicone resin impregnation/ pyrolysis or reaction sintering. Cycles of resin impregnation/pyrolysis produced an SiC coating, on the walls of fine open pores, which was effective in reducing the oxidation rate of C-C and in shifting the transition temperature to a higher value. Unless it is pre-coated with a pyrocarbon layer before sintering, plain reaction sintered SiC has oxidation behaviors similar to those of the above-mentioned SiC. The dense pyrocarbon film deposition on the surface of C-C could form a better SiC film than others. The carbon film homogenized the surface of C-C and a dense SiC film was established. The oxidation of the coated C-C can be modelled by a set of “oxidation resistors” in series and/or in parallel, with each resistor corresponding to an oxidation element. The controlling mechanism can be resolved from the activation energy. A combined resistant layer, consisting of resin impregnation, pyrocarbon film and reaction sintering SiC, showed the best oxidation resistance of any single-layer coated C-C composite. 相似文献

There is a general consensus about the success of Internet architecture in academia and industry. However, with the development of diversified application, the existing Internet architecture is facing more and more challenges in scalability, security, mobility and performance. A novel evolvable Internet architecture framework is proposed in this paper to meet the continuous changing application requirements. The basic idea of evolvability is relaxing the constraints that limit the development of the architecture while adhering to the core design principles of the Internet. Three important design constraints used to ensure the construction of the evolvable architecture, including the evolvability constraint, the economic adaptability constraint and the manageability constraint, are comprehensively described. We consider that the evolvable architecture can be developed from the network layer under these design constraints. What's more, we believe that the address system is the foundation of the Internet.
