Plasmonic enhancement of fluorescence from SYBR Green I conjugated with a double‐stranded DNA (dsDNA) amplicon is demonstrated on polymerase chain reaction (PCR) products. Theoretical computation leads to use of the bimetallic (Au 2 nm–Ag 50 nm) surface plasmons due to larger local fields (higher quality factors) than monometallic (Ag or Au) ones at both dye excitation and emission wavelengths simultaneously, optimizing fluorescence enhancement with surface plasmon coupled emission (SPCE). Two kinds of reverse Kretschmann configurations are used, which favor, in signal‐to‐noise ratio, a fluorescence assay that uses optically dense buffer such as blood plasma. The fluorescence enhancement (12.9 fold at maximum) with remarkably high reproducibility (coefficient of variation (CV) < 1%) is experimentally demonstrated. This facilitates credible quantitation of enhanced fluorescence, however unlikely to obtain by localized surface plasmons. The plasmon‐induced optical gain of 46 dB due to SPCE‐active dye molecules is also estimated. The fluorescence enhancement technologies with PCR enables LOD of the dsDNA template concentration of ≈400 fg µL?1 (CV < 1%), the lowest ever reported in DNA fluorescence assay to date. SPCE also reduces photobleaching significantly. These technologies can be extended for a highly reproducible and sufficiently sensitive fluorescence assay with small volumes of analytes in multiplexed diagnostics.  相似文献

Current paper represents the results of the study on extraction of hydrocarbons from oil emulsions using liquid and supercritical extraction processes. High-viscosity oil from Ashalchinskoye accumulation has been taken as a base for the emulsions with subsequent addition of water (0.5–30% wt.). A mixture of propane and butane has been applied as an extractant. The investigations have been carried out at temperatures 85–140?°C and pressures 10–15?MPa. The achieved output of light hydrocarbons is 93% of the total mass of hydrocarbons in emulsion. In parallel with the extraction, deasphaltizing has also been carried out.  相似文献

A new strategy for the selective coating of tin sulfide (SnS) on the surface of moth‐eye patterned (MEP) conducting polymer film is studied by considering the optical properties of the antireflective moth‐eye pattern and flexibility of polymer films. The semiconductor SnS is selectively coated on the surface of MEP microdomes of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) poly(styrene‐sulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS) film. The SnS coated MEP film is obtained by using pore selectively SnS thin layer functionalized polystyrene honeycomb‐patterned porous (HCP) film as a template. Aqueous PEDOT:PSS solution is poured on the SnS functionalized HCP films and detached for the fabrication of SnS coated MEP films. The films show a satisfactory photo‐responsive property under solar stimulated light illumination due to the antireflective MEP structure of PEDOT film and homogenous SnS coating on the surface of the conducting polymer.  相似文献

The activation of viral glycoproteins by the host protease furin is an essential step in the replication of numerous pathogenic viruses. Thus, effective inhibitors of furin could serve as broad-spectrum antiviral drugs. A crystal structure of an inhibitory hexapeptide derivative in complex with furin served as template for the rational design of various types of new cyclic inhibitors. Most of the prepared derivatives are relatively potent furin inhibitors with inhibition constants in the low nanomolar or even sub-nanomolar range. For seven derivatives the crystal structures in complex with furin could be determined. In three complexes, electron density was found for the entire inhibitor. In the other cases the structures could be determined only for the P6/P5-P1 segments, which directly interact with furin. The cyclic derivatives together with two non-cyclic reference compounds were tested as inhibitors of the proteolytic activation and replication of respiratory syncytial virus in cells. Significant antiviral activity was found for both linear reference inhibitors, whereas a negligible efficacy was determined for the cyclic derivatives.  相似文献

This article presents a method to design broadband circularly polarized (CP) Fabry‐Perot Resonator (FPR) antenna. The proposed antenna is based on multi‐layer thin dielectric slabs arranged in close proximity as a partially reflecting surface (PRS) and an Archimedean spiral as a CP radiating source. Experimental results show a broadband operation from 6 to 13 GHz, in which the reflection coefficient is less than ?10 dB and the axial ratio (AR) is lower than 3 dB. In addition, good radiation patterns and high broadside gain of better than 10.8 dBic are achieved over the operating bandwidth. The proposed antenna can be used for C‐ and X‐band satellite communications.  相似文献

In this paper, an adaptive chattering free neural network‐based sliding mode control (ACFN‐SMC) method is proposed for tracking trajectories of redundant parallel manipulators. ACFN‐SMC combines adaptive chattering free radial basis function neural networks (RBFN), sliding mode control with online updating the robust term parameters, and a nonlinear compensation item for reducing tracking errors. The stability of the closed‐loop system with modeling uncertainties, frictional uncertainties, and external disturbances is ensured by using the Lyapunov method. The proposed controller has a simple structure and little computation time while securing dynamic performance with expected quality in tracking trajectories of redundant parallel manipulators. In addition, the ACFN‐SMC strategy does not need to know the upper bound of any uncertainties. From the simulation results, it is evident that the proposed control strategy not only has significantly higher robustness capability for uncertainties but also can achieve better chattering elimination when compared with those using existing intelligent control schemes.  相似文献

This paper proposes an effective, four-stage smoke-detection algorithm using video images. In the first stage, an approximate median method is used to segment moving regions in a video frame. In the second stage, a fuzzy c-means (FCM) method is used to cluster candidate smoke regions from these moving regions. In the third phase, a parameter extraction method is used to extract a set of parameters from spatial and temporal characteristics of the candidate smoke regions; these parameters include the motion vector, surface roughness and area randomness of smoke. In the fourth stage, the parameters extracted from the third stage are used as input feature vectors to train a support vector machine (SVM) classifier, which is then used by the smoke alarm to make a decision. Experimental results show that the proposed four-stage smoke-detection algorithm outperforms conventional smoke-detection algorithms in terms of accuracy of smoke detection, providing a low false-alarm rate and high reliability in open and large spaces.  相似文献

Acousto-electric charge conveyance induced by a surface acoustic wave (SAW) is employed to dissociate photogenerated excitons. Over macroscopic distances, both electrons and holes are injected sequentially into a remotely positioned, isolated and high quality quantum emitter, a self-assembled quantum post. This process is found to be highly efficient and to exhibit improved stability at high acoustic powers when compared to direct optical pumping at the position of the quantum post. These characteristics are attributed to the wide matrix quantum well in which charge conveyance occurs and to the larger number of carriers available for injection in the remote configuration, respectively. The emission of such pumped quantum posts is dominated by recombination of neutral excitons and fully directional when the propagation direction of the SAW and the position of the quantum post are reversed.  相似文献
