New iron(III) extraction data involving two N,N-disubstituted monoamides, N-ethyl-N-phenyloctanamide (EPHOA) and N-ethyl-N-cyclohexyloctanamide (ECHOA), from hydrochloric acid media, are presented and discussed. These, and earlier results obtained with other similar N,N-disubstituted monoamides, are interpreted in this work through their apparent molar volumes in 1,2-dichloroethane, and all the information is being used to screen for solute-solute and solute-diluent interactions. The results collected help to understand why N-cyclohexyl monoamides are generally more efficient than their N-phenyl analogues as liquid-liquid extractants for iron(III) from 3 to 5 M hydrochloric acid solutions, and clearly denote that N-phenyl monoamides are essentially monomeric whereas N-cyclohexyl monoamide derivatives have a tendency to aggregate in the organic solution. 相似文献

Phospholipids have been reported to inhibit lipid oxidation in bulk oils, but very little is known about their influence on
oxidation in oil-in-water emulsions. In the present study, the impact of 1,2-dioleoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine (DOPC) on lipid oxidation was studied in 1% stripped soybean oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions as a function
of DOPC concentration and pH (3 and 7). At pH 7.0, DOPC inhibited lipid oxidation in O/W emulsions, while DOPC was prooxidative
at pH 3.0. DOPC did not affect emulsion droplet charge or size at either pH 3.0 or 7.0. The antioxidant activity at pH 7.0
was observed in a series of phospholipids (PL) that varied in fatty acid unsaturation level and chain length as well as type
of phosphate head group. Overall, phosphatidylcholine with either oleic or palmitic acid were the most effective at inhibiting
lipid hydroperoxide and hexanal formation of all of the PL tested. Antioxidant mechanism of PL could not be ascribed to their
ability to decompose lipid hydroperoxides. It might be possible that, at pH 7.0, the PL antioxidant activity is related to

Vinyl ester (VE) resins are widely used as thermoset adhesives in structural joints and composites, but complete curing under environmental conditions is not produced. The existing literature dealing with the effect of post-curing on the structure, viscoelastic, mechanical, and adhesion properties of VE resin is scarce. Therefore, in this study, VE resin was subjected to different post-curing temperatures (50–140 °C) for one hour, and the changes in structure and properties were assessed. The degree of cross-linking of the VE resin depended on the post-curing temperature and cure started to be completed above 100 °C, a temperature close to the glass transition temperature (115 °C) of the completely cross-linked polymer. Furthermore, gel formation in VE resin was evidenced for post-curing temperature below 100 °C. In order to fully cross-link the VE resin, post-curing at 140 °C for one hour was necessary, and it was evidenced by an increase in the glass transition temperature and in the mechanical properties; an increase in adhesion to cold rolled steel was obtained although the shear strength was lower than in the joint produced with the non-post-cured VE resin. 相似文献

Titania microspheres with narrow size distribution and diameters of about 1 µm were prepared and subsequently functionalized using surface‐initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of N‐isopropylacrylamide. The ATRP initiator was immobilized on the particle surface via acylation of surface hydroxyl groups with α‐bromoisobutyryl bromide. Subsequently, an established ATRP reaction system was used for the preparation of titania surface‐grafted poly(N‐isopropylacrylamide) (PNiPAAm). Characterization was performed with electron microscopies, X‐ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy and dynamic light scattering. It was found that the particle size in aqueous dispersions changed reversibly with temperature as expected for a shell of PNiPAAm, a polymer with a lower critical solution temperature at 32 °C. This confirmed the successful preparation of functional, stimuli‐responsive TiO2 microparticles via a straightforward controlled surface‐initiated polymerization method. 相似文献

1,3-dinitrobenzene (DNB) and 1,3,5-trinitrobenzene (TNB) are used primarily in explosive compositions and munitions and have been detected as environmental contaminants of surface waters as well as ground waters near production waste disposal sites. Hemoglobin (Hb) adducts have recently been proposed as biological markers of exposure assessment for various environmental compounds, including nitroaromatics. In the present study, we have investigated the formation of DNB and TNB hemoglobin adducts in vivo and in vitro in the blood of shrew (Cryptotis parva). DNB and TNB hemoglobin adducts were detected by GC/MS after either basic (0.1N NaOH) or acid (2N HCl) hydrolysis followed by organic solvent extraction and derivatization of the corresponding amines. The levels of DNB-Hb adducts detected after basic hydrolysis (238.7 ± 50.2 pg/mg Hb) are higher than the corresponding levels detected after acid hydrolysis (52.5 ± 16.2 pg/mg Hb). For the TNB-Hb the levels after acid hydrolysis (132.2 ± 37.8 pg/mg Hb) are higher than the levels detected after basic hydrolysis (44.7 ± 15.3 pg/mg Hb.) It mainly focuses on the determination of the deposition temperature threshold for ZnO Metal-Organic Chemical Vapour Deposition (MOCVD) as well as the concentration of metal-organic silver (Ag) catalyst.
