Diamond and diamond-ultrafine Co powder mixtures were sintered at 7.7 GPa and 1800° to 2000°C. A well-sintered body with a fine-grained homogeneous microstructure, high hardness, and high electrical resistivity was produced when a diamond-5 vol% Co powder mixture was used as the starting material.  相似文献

The simultaneous differential equations which connected the copolymerization kinetics of the component reaction in the multi-copolymerization system with the changing rate of the concentration of each monomer and radical, the concentration and the molecular weight of the polymer obtained are analysed in a number of ways. The distribution of the components and the degree of polymerization are also simulated. The styrene/butyl methacrylate/methacrylic acid terpolymerization system, using carbon tetrachloride as solvent and benzoyl peroxide as initiator, was chosen. The simulation model which satisfied the experimental values of the concentration of the multiple components in the system, the composition and molecular weight distribution and the number of chlorine atoms introduced into the copolymer ends is established. When the time interval changed, the effects on the distribution of the composition in copolymers and the distribution of the degree of polymerization were also calculated.  相似文献

Porous Cr3C2 grains (∼300 to 500 μm) with ∼10 wt% of Cr2O3 were prepared by heating a mixture of MgCr2O4 grains and graphite powder at 1450° to 1650°C for 2 h in an Al2O3 crucible covered by an Al2O3 lid with a hole in the center. The porous Cr3C2 grains exhibited a three-dimensional network skeleton structure. The mean open pore diameter and the specific surface area of the porous grains formed at 1600°C for 2 h were ∼3.5 (μm and ∼6.7 m2/g, respectively. The present work investigated the morphology and the formation conditions of the porous Cr3C2 grains, and this paper will discuss the formation mechanism of those grains in terms of chemical thermodynamics.  相似文献

It remains a challenge to establish structural models of multicomponent oxide glass systems. In this study, we have investigated 68.3SiO2–16.1B2O3–4.2Al2O3–11.4Na2O glass and melt structures by ab initio molecular dynamics (AIMD) simulations. The atomic configurations obtained from AIMD simulations were validated against 17O solid‐state NMR spectrum under 24.0 T and neutron diffraction data, and excellent agreement was achieved. The bond lengths, angles, and coordination geometries were statistically analyzed for each atomic species. Here we particularly address the role of minor atomic species such as five‐coordinate Si (SiV) and Al (AlV). The SiV–O bond lengths and O–SiV–O angle distribution in the glass indicated 1.718 Å and three peaks at 90°, 120°, and 175°, which are assigned to a coordination geometry of the trigonal bipyramidal structure. Ring statistic analysis revealed that SiV and AlV were found to preferentially contribute to the formation of small ring sizes.  相似文献

It is becoming increasingly difficult to isolate novel useful microorganisms from the natural environment using conventional screening methods based on pure culture techniques. A novel method for screening microorganisms in symbiotic association with insects was developed. This method involves the following two steps. In the first step, the existence of desired microorganisms that grow well by degrading difficult-to-degrade materials in the gut of insects is detected using the survivability of insects as an indicator. In the second step, the desired microorganisms are selected from the surviving insects. The second step is based on an idea that the guts of insects act as continuous-culture systems whereby microorganisms that cannot degrade diet components are washed out whereas those that can degrade diet components are retained and made to multiply in the gut. Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki was fed with an artificial diet containing phenol as a model of lignin-derived and difficult-to-degrade compound. Each C. formosanus feeding on an artificial diet containing 100 mg/l phenol had different levels of adaptation to the toxicity of phenol. About 20% of C. formosanus fed with an artificial diet containing 100 mg/l phenol died within a few days whereas others survived for more than 10 d. The structure of the intestinal microorganisms of the surviving C. formosanus fed with the 100 mg/l phenol artificial diet gradually changed and was very different from that of the bacterial communities obtained from the enrichment culture of wood-feeding C. formosanus using an artificial medium containing phenol as a sole carbon source. Furthermore, Only three species (as DGGE band) were detected from the gut of wood-feeding C. formosanus, whereas 200 times more phenol-degrading microorganisms were detected in the gut of C. formosanus feeding on a phenol artificial diet. Out of these nine species (as DGGE band) of phenol-degrading microorganisms were isolated. The screening method developed in this study can also be applied to various insects, leading to the isolation of various microorganisms that can degrade difficult-to-degrade compounds.  相似文献

In adipocytes, short and long term stimulation of β adrenergic receptors (βAR) induces the desensitization to catecholamines, leading to a decrease in the intracellular accumulation of cAMP, but the roles played by this in lipolysis is not clear. In this study, we assessed the catecholamine-induced desensitization of lipolysis and compared this in adipocytes isolated from visceral and subcutaneous fat tissues of rats. When adipocytes were pretreated with isoproterenol (ISO), the norepinephrine (NE)-induced lipolysis was significantly reduced dose- and time-dependently. A similar reduction of the lipolytic response was also found in NE-, dobutamine-, terbutaline- or BRL37344-induced lipolysis. The ISO- and each βAR agonist-induced lipolysis in the visceral fat was not only higher than in the subcutaneous fat, but also markedly reduced by ISO- or NE-pretreatment. These results showed that short-term treatment of three subtypes of βAR by each agonist induces a rapid reduction in the lipolytic response to βAR stimulation. This suggests some common mechanism for the rapid desensitization of βAR-agonist-induced lipolysis, in contrast with previous reports on the characteristics of βAR subtypes. In addition, the regional difference of adipose tissue not only in inducing lipolysis but also in rapid desensitization was also apparent.  相似文献

OBJECTIVES: To present the technique of the extended subcranial approach to the anterior skull base and to review the results in 55 patients who underwent the procedure. STUDY DESIGN: Retrospective review of the records of 55 patients who underwent the extended subcranial approach to the anterior skull base between 1994 and 1998 for the treatment of various neoplasms originating in the nasal cavity, nasopharynx, paranasal sinuses, orbit, or meninges, as well as for the repair of complex craniofacial trauma and/or cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leak. Preoperative patient evaluation and the surgical technique are also reviewed. METHODS: Patient records were retrospectively reviewed and tabulated for age, sex, and indications for procedure, with special focus on early outcome and complications. RESULTS: Twenty-six patients underwent oncologic resections, 22 patients had reduction of complex fronto-naso-orbital and skull base fractures, and seven patients had repair of CSF leak. Significant complications in the oncologic group consisted of one hematoma requiring needle aspiration and two cases of temporary nontension pneumocephalus. In the fracture group, one patient died because of extensive intracerebral damage and multiorgan failure, and one patient had nontension pneumocephalus coupled with CSF leakage and one patient had temporary nontension pneumocephalus. The most common late complication in all three groups was anosmia. CONCLUSIONS: Based on their review, the authors conclude that the extended subcranial approach to the anterior skull base is a safe, versatile, and effective procedure for the surgical treatment of various pathological conditions involving the anterior skull base.  相似文献

Some kinetic characteristics and hydrolytic action patterns on various β-D -galactosyl-maltooligosaccharides (Gal-Gn), ranging in size from D.P. (degree of polymerization) 5 to 8, of an exo-maltotetraose-forming amylase of Pseudomonas stutzeri (G4-amylase) were examined to produce a few p-nitrophenyl β-D -galactosyl-α-maltooligosaccharides (Gal-GnP, n = 4,5). The relative hydrolytic reaction rates for larger Gal-Gn by the enzyme were larger than those for smaller saccharides tough the values for unmodified linear maltooligosachharides were almost same. Michaelis constants (Km) for hydrolysis of Gal-G4, Gal-G5, Gal-G6 and Gal-G7 by the enzyme were 1.3, 1.9, 1.3 and 1.3mM, and apparent molecular activities (ko) for these saccharides were 5.9, 38, 91 and 126s−1, respectively. The values of ko/Km for them were remarkably smaller than those for unmodified linear maltooligosaccharides. The G4-amylase cleaved 2 points of the α-1,4-glucosidic linkage in β-1,4-Gal-G4 to give β-1,4-Gal-G2 and -Gal-G3 in the molar ratio of 3:1, whereas the enzyme attacked 3 points of the linkage in β-1,4-Gal-G5, -Gal-G6 and -Gal-G7 to form β-1,4-Gal-G2,-Gal-G3 and Gal-G4 in the molar ratios of 2:5:1, 1:3:6 and 1:3:6, in the early stage of the reaction, respectively. On the other hand, the enzyme showed no action on β-1,6-Gal-G4 and formed β-1,6-Gal-G4 solely from β-1,6-Gal-G5, and β-1,6-Gal-G4 and -Gal-G5 were from β-1,6-Gal-G6 and -Gal-G7 in the ratios of 8:1 and 2:1, respectively. The enzyme also catalyzed the transfer action to produce Gal-G3P, Gal-G4P and Gal-G5P, of which the formation ratio was coincided well with the hydrolytic action pattern on each Gal-Gn, from Gal-Gn tested as a donor and p-nitrophenyl α-glucoside (GP) as an acceptor in an aqueous solution containing 40% (v/v) methanol. By using this novel reaction, Gal-G5P is now producing on an industrial scale to apply as a substrate for the assay of human α-amylase.  相似文献

Parallel BDD-based monolithic algorithms for acoustic fluid-structure interaction problems are developed. In a previous study, two schemes, NN-I + CGC-FULL and NN-I + CGC-DIAG, have been proven to be efficient among several BDD-type schemes for one processor. Thus, the parallelization of these schemes is discussed in the present study. These BDD-type schemes consist of the operations of the Schur complement matrix-vector (Sv) product, Neumann-Neumann (NN) preconditioning, and the coarse problem. In the present study, the Sv product and NN preconditioning are parallelized for both schemes, and the parallel implementation of the solid and fluid parts of the coarse problem is considered for NN-I + CGC-DIAG. The results of numerical experiments indicate that both schemes exhibit performances that are almost as good as those of single solid and fluid analyses in the Sv product and NN preconditioning. Moreover, NN-I + CGC-DIAG appears to become more efficient as the problem size becomes large due to the parallel calculation of the coarse problem.  相似文献

The microstructure of an epitaxial PbTiO3 thick film, grown on a SrRuO3/SrTiO3 substrate at 600 °C by pulsed-MOCVD method, was investigated by using transmission electron microscopy. A number of extrinsic or intrinsic stacking faults were observed in the epitaxial PbTiO3 thick film and they were parallel to the (0 0 1) plane of the PbTiO3. We also investigated the size distribution of these stacking faults. The width of these stacking faults along the [1 0 0] axis of the PbTiO3 was very small, ranging from 2 to 13 nm. It was also revealed that the size distribution of stacking faults depends on the position in the film: near the surface, near the substrate, near threading dislocations, and near 90° domain boundaries.  相似文献
