A high-response gamma-ray densitometer was developed for the measurement of void fraction caused by the flashing vaporization of high-pressure and -temperature water under an instantaneous pipe break accident of a boiling water reactor, BWR. The initial conditions of the water were 6.86 MPa in pressure and saturation temperature. In order to prove the reliability and accuracy, the calibration test by dropping the acrylic void simulators and the air injection test into the cold water filled in the pipe were conducted.The following results are obtained in the experiments: (1) the cone slit method is very useful to increase the measuring accuracy, (2) it is clearly observed that the apparent increase of the void fraction occurs after the rarefaction wave passes, (3) the first maximum of the void fraction occurs with some delay time after break. Specimens with weld lines were produced via conventional and film insert molding techniques using two types of materials as the substrate resin, i.e. a polycarbonate/acrylonitrile‐butadiene‐styrene (PC/ABS) blend and glass fiber‐filled polycarbonate (PC‐gf). The formation and morphology of the weld line region was assessed with and without the presence of 0.5‐mm‐thick PC film inserts. The weld line formation and characteristics were found to be dependent on the extent of interaction between the injected resin and the mold surface or the film insert. Better interfacial interaction between the substrate and film led to the distortion of the weld line orientation, which significantly enhanced the mechanical properties of the weld line. The incorporation of glass fibers into the substrate resin would usually reduce the resistance of the weld line towards tensile, flexural and impact loadings. However, with the attachment of film inserts, the mechanical properties of the weld line region have significantly improved, even with the presence of rigid fibers. Upon examination of tensile and impact fracture surfaces of film insert specimens, a unique orientation of fibers across the weld line (parallel to the flow direction and perpendicular to the weld line) could be observed at regions directly under the film. The combination of favorable properties from the unique fiber orientation and distortion of the weld line, as well as the ability of the film to effectively dissipate forces towards a larger area, have synergistically contributed towards the mechanical property enhancement of the weld line region in film insert moldings. A multiple-level 2-bit/cell storage technique for DRAMs (dynamic random-access memories) has been developed. The total RAM area is reduced and the cell array is cut in half. Since the memory cell area is especially defect-sensitive, this technique is highly effective for process yield improvement. Reasonable access time has been realized with this technique: 170 ns is still fast enough for many ASIC (application-specific integrated circuit) memory applications. OBJECTIVE: To determine the response of white blood cells in endovascular aortic aneurysm repair. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Seven patients treated with an endoluminal procedure (AAA-E) and seven patients undergoing conventional surgery (AAA-C) were included (all males, aged 52-80 years). A panel of monoclonal antibodies against CD11a, CD11b, CD11c, CD18 and L-selectin was used. To determine the surface receptors on both circulating and sequestered white blood cells, plasma from the patients and cells from healthy donors were combined for flow-cytometry. RESULTS: The expression of CD11a adhesion molecules only showed slight variations regarding granulocytes, but was more pronounced on monocytes, however, without significant differences between the two patient groups, CD11b, CD11c and CD18 molecules on both granulocytes and monocytes were significantly upregulated 60 min after the endovascular procedure compared to conventional aneurysm repair, and L-selectin molecules were by this time correspondingly cleaved off. CONCLUSION: Endovascular aneurysm repair differed significantly from conventional aneurysm surgery with peak adhesion molecule expression 60 min after balloon deflation, probably caused by release of tumour necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha). 相似文献

We report on measurements of the tunneling conductance structures above the superconducting gap energy using YBa2Cu3O7 polycrystalline junctions. The measured second derivative data are reproducible among the junctions, and the intensities of the common structures at the biases of 37–38, 47–53, 67–77, and 94–95 mV are strong enough to be assigned. These structures are in agreement with those in the neutron phonon density of states in whole energy regions when the energies are measured from the gap edge of 26±1 meV. This correspondence indicates that the electron-phonon interaction contributes to the pairing mechanism of this superconductor. 相似文献

A simple method using ion-pair high-performance liquid chromatography was established for the rapid and precise determination of synephrine in thirty three species of oriental pharmaceutical decoctions containing Aurantii Nobilis Pericarpium.
