Results of surgical treatment of pigmentary retinal dystrophy at different periods after surgery]

The nucleation and crystal growth of calcium oxalate were studied under different conditions using a nephelometer to measure the turbidities of suspensions produced when dilute solutions of calcium chloride dihydrate and sodium oxalate were mixed. The amount of material produced was less when calcium was in excess of oxalate than vice versa. For equimolar amounts of the precipitating reagents the rate of formation of calcium oxalate was rapid when calcium and oxalate concentrations were 1-25 mmol/l. but slow when they were 0-5mmol/l. Sodium citrate and heparin inhibited nucleation and crystal growth and at certain concentrations prevented nucleation for the duration of the experiment. The method is simple and quick and requires only a small amount of material.     

Synthesis of Alloy Ti ― 6Al ― 4V with Low Residual Porosity by a Powder Metallurgy Method

The possibility of producing titanium alloy Ti 6Al 4V with minimal residual porosity from mixtures of elemental powders by the method of pressing and sintering without hot deformation during or after sintering was investigated. Various powder mixtures based on titanium and titanium hydride with alloying additions of either elemental powders having different particle sizes, or master alloys, were studied. It was shown that the synthesis of Ti 6Al 4V from mixtures of titanium hydride and master alloys is optimal with respect to the attainment of high relative density. In this case the sintered material has density up to 99%, homogeneous microstructure with relatively small (100-120 m) -phase grains, and a low concentration of impurities, in particular oxygen, which provide a high level of mechanical properties (_ten = 970 MPa, = 6%).     

Game-theoretical analysis of a single-commodity market with equal utilities

Heat-absorbing glass: Directions of synthesis

The process of producing light- and heat-absorbing glass of a wide color range is considered. The scheme of reactions of various color centers related to Se, CoO, FeO, Fe₂O, and combinations of them is described.
