A -conjugated polymer, poly(pyridine-2,5-diyl) (PPy) was investigated as a support for CuCl2 in the synthesis of dimethyl carbonate by oxidative carbonylation of methanol. The PPy–CuCl2 adduct had high catalytic activity which was comparable to that of the homogeneous CuCl2 catalyst. The adduct caused corrosion of stainless-steel vessels only to minor extent, compared with the homogeneous CuCl2 catalyst. This PPy–CuCl2 catalyst was easily recycled by filtration and showed a similar catalytic activity in the third time use. The presence of the -conjugated system in PPy, through which electrons can move, may bring about the high catalytic activity for the oxidative carbonylation of methanol, which involves Cu(II)/Cu(I) redox processes.  相似文献

Hydrogel prepared by repetitive freezing and thawing of poly(vinyl alcohol) aqueous solution was chemically crosslinked with glutaraldehyde. The chemically crosslinked hydrogel hardly changed its physical appearance, and showed good elasticity and strength as original gel. However, after treating in boiling water, it swelled a little, depending on the condition of the chemical treatment. The melted gel thus obtained showed shape memorizing property, that is, it could firmly hold nearly 200% of strain, keeping its original high elasticity. The strain could be released very quickly (< 1 s) in boiling water, and the gel was suggested to be applied to a new type of gel actuator. X-ray diffraction study revealed that the melted gel does not necessarily reform the physical crosslinks in exactly the same manner as the original gel in the process of shape restoring, but the distribution of the physical crosslinks can be restored as they were. It was suggested that the chemical crosslinks which remember the distribution of the physical crosslinks plays a critical roll in the shape restoring process.  相似文献

The light transmittance of the gels of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)/phenol/water solutions was examined for the entire range of phenol/water content. Excellent transparency was found for the gels with phenol contents of 70–95 vol %. In full consideration of the results for the transparency and melting temperature of the gels and the viscosity and gelation ability of solutions, the PVA solutions of 75 vol % phenol content were selected for the gel spinning. The maximum dynamic moduli of drawn filaments at 25°C (room temperature) were 42 GPa (15x) for atactic PVA and 45 GPa (14x) for syndiotacticity-rich PVA. © 1995 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.  相似文献

The preparation of poly(vinyl alcohol) (PVA)–poly(vinyl acetate) (PVAc) composite porous membrane was investigated by extracting PVAc with solvent from films of PVAc lattices which were obtained by the emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate (VAc) in the presence of PVA. The formation of the porous membrane depended upon whether or not PVAc in the latex film was easily extracted with solvent. In the case of using hydrogen peroxide (HPO)–tartaric acid (TA) as an initiator, in the film of the latex which was produced from the batch method in which all ingredients of the batch were put into the reaction vessel before starting polymerization, PVAc could be extracted over 90% of total PVAc with common organic solvents. In the film of the latex which was produced from the dropwise addition method of VAc and initiator, the PVAc extraction was about 20-30%. On the other hand, in the case of using ammonium persulfate as an initiator, the desired porous membrane was not obtained. The structure of the porous membrane obtained from the latex of the batch method by using HPO—TA consisted of spherical cells which were made up of PVA and grafted PVAc or insoluble PVAc like microgels, which were not extracted with organic solvent and were connected by small pores. The PVA—PVAc composite porous membrane is permeated by n-hexane with 5.58 × 102 mL/cm2·s at 0.5 kg/cm2, by benzene with only 1.33 × 10?3mL/cm2·s even at 60 kg/cm2.  相似文献

The chemical reactivities of novel reactive antioxidants based on tetrazoles for carbon–carbon double bonds of liquid polybutadiene and their antioxidation activities toward isoprene rubber were evaluated. These antioxidants, i.e., 2-substituted phenyl-5-(3′,5′ -di-tert-butyl-4′-hydroxyphenyl)tetrazoles (PHPT), were pyrolyzed in liquid polybutadiene at 160–170°C for 30 min to attach to rubber in extents of 61–85% of the nitrileimines formed from PHPT by 1,3-dipolar addition reaction. The reactivities of PHPT followed the order p-Cl > m-Cl > H > p-CH3 > m-CH3, p-OC2H5, suggesting that PHPT reacts with diene rubber in electrophilic reaction and p-derivatives exhibit higher contents of binding than m-derivatives due to steric hindrance. From oxygen absorption data, the antioxidation activities of PHPT for isoprene rubber vulcanizates followed the order m-Cl, m-CH3 > H, p-Cl, p-Cl, p-CH3 > p-OC2H5. Isoprene rubber vulcanizates, obtained after pretreatment with PHPT by heating, were extracted with acetone, followed by aging to show that there was good retention and appreciable antioxidation activities of PHPT, especially, p-CH3 and p-Cl substituted PHPT.  相似文献

The purpose of this study was to investigate the physiological and subjective responses of the European, Japanese (JPN) and US firefighters' helmet, gloves and boots for international standardisation. Three experimental conditions were evaluated (clothing mass: 9.4, 8.2 and 10.1 kg for the three conditions, respectively) at the air temperature of 32°C and 60% relative humidity. The results showed that there was no significant difference among the three conditions in oxygen consumption, heart rate, total sweat rate, rectal temperature and mean skin temperature, whereas peripheral temperatures and subjective perceptions were lower in the JPN condition than in the other conditions (P < 0.05). These results indicate that a 0.5-kg reduction in helmet mass and a 1.1-kg reduction in boot mass during exercise resulted in a significant decrease in head and leg temperatures and subjective perceptions, while a 1.9-kg reduction in total clothing mass had insignificant influences on the metabolic burden and overall body temperature.  相似文献

We present a new architecture level unified reliability evaluation methodology for chip multiprocessors (CMPs). The proposed reliability estimation (REST) is based on a Monte Carlo algorithm. What distinguishes REST from the previous work is that both the computational and communication components are considered in a unified manner to compute the reliability of the CMP. We utilize REST tool to develop a new dynamic reliability management (DRM) scheme to address time-dependent dielectric breakdown and negative-bias temperature instability aging mechanisms in network-on-chip (NoC) based CMPs. Designed as a control loop, the proposed DRM scheme uses an effective neural network based reliability estimation module. The neural-network predictor is trained using the REST tool. We investigate how system’s lifetime changes when the NoC as the communication unit of the CMP is considered or not during the reliability evaluation process and find that differences can be as high as 60%. Full-system based simulations using a customized GEM5 simulator show that reliability can be improved by up to 52% using the proposed DRM scheme in a best-effort scenario with 2–9% performance penalty (using a user set target lifetime of 7 years) over the case when no DRM is employed.  相似文献

The minimum sequence lengths (nc) of vinyl acetate (VAc) units necessary to form a colored iodine complex were determined to be 4 and 17 for radically polymerized VAc/vinyl propionate (VPr) and VAc/isopropenyl acetate (IPAc) copolymers, respectively. The iodine affinities (I/VAc) of VAc/VPr copolymers (SP-series) obtained by propionylation of partially saponified polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) were remarkably affected by the saponification conditions. An increase of the water content in acetone/water mixture as saponification solvent brought about a decrease of the iodine affinities of the SP-series. The dependence of the iodine affinity on the saponification of monomer units in the SP-series was compared with that in the radically polymerized VAc/VPr copolymers by taking the sequence probability as the measure of monomer unit distribution. The results strongly supported an occurence of the slide fastener reaction at high degrees of saponification, which was well-known in the saponification of PVAc. Furthermore, it was found that the saponification mode of PVAc at low degrees of saponification was influenced uniquely by the water content in saponification solvents and the saponification temperature.  相似文献

Production of MAG by a lipase-catalyzed reaction is known to be effective at low temperature. This phenomenon can be explained by assuming that synthesized MAG are excluded from the reaction system because MAG, which have low m.p., are solidified at low temperatures. Consequently, MAG are efficiently accumulated and do not serve as the precursor of DAG. If this hypothesis is correct, the critical temperature for MAG production, defined as the highest temperature at which DAG synthesis is repressed, should depend on the m.p. of the MAG. Esterification of FFA with glycerol using Candida rugosa, Rhizopus oryzae, and Penicillium camembertii lipases produced MAG efficiently at low temperatures. However, Candida lipase showed very low esterification activity at high temperatures (>20°C), and Rhizopus lipase produced not only MAG but also DAG even at low temperatures. Meanwhile, P. camembertii lipase catalyzed synthesis of MAG only from FFA and glycerol at low temperatures, although the enzyme catalyzed synthesis of DAG from MAG in addition to synthesis of MAG at high temperatures. We thus studied the effect of temperature on esterification of C10−C18 FFA with glycerol using Penicillium lipase as a catalyst and determined the critical temperatures for production of MAG. The critical temperature for production of each MAG showed a linear correlation with m.p. of the MAG, which supported the hypothesis. In addition, because the m.p. of MAG are estimated from that of the constituent FA, the optimal temperature for production of MAG can be predicted from the m.p. of the FFA used as a substrate.  相似文献
