The Method for Method Configuration (MMC) has been proposed as a method engineering approach to tailoring information systems development methods. This meta-method has been used on a variety of methods, but none of these studies have focused on the ability to manage method tailoring with the intention to promote specific values and goals, such as agile ones. This paper explores how MMC has been used during three software development projects to manage method tailoring with the intention to promote agile goals and values. Through content examples of method configurations we have shown that it is possible to use MMC and its conceptual framework on eXtreme Programming and we report on lessons learned with regard to maintaining coherency with the overall goals of the original method.  相似文献

Global Optimization through Rotation Space Search   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
This paper introduces a new algorithmic technique for solving certain problems in geometric computer vision. The main novelty of the method is a branch-and-bound search over rotation space, which is used in this paper to determine camera orientation. By searching over all possible rotations, problems can be reduced to known fixed-rotation problems for which optimal solutions have been previously given. In particular, a method is developed for the estimation of the essential matrix, giving the first guaranteed optimal algorithm for estimating the relative pose using a cost function based on reprojection errors. Recently convex optimization techniques have been shown to provide optimal solutions to many of the common problems in structure from motion. However, they do not apply to problems involving rotations. The search method described in this paper allows such problems to be solved optimally. Apart from the essential matrix, the algorithm is applied to the camera pose problem, providing an optimal algorithm. The approach has been implemented and tested on a number of both synthetically generated and real data sets with good performance. Identification of the gut microbiota as an environmental factor that modulates obesity and metabolic diseases has provided the medical and functional food industry with new targets to treat metabolic diseases. However, only limited knowledge about the mechanisms by which the gut microbiota contributes to these lifestyle diseases are known. The gut microbiota is involved in energy harvest from the diet, modulation of endocrine signalling, and promoting metabolic inflammation. This review will discuss how the gut microbiota is altered in obesity, some of the mechanisms by which it promotes disease development, and how pre- and probiotics may be used to improve metabolic diseases.  相似文献

In this paper we present a method of using blends of two silanes with different functional groups to precisely tune the turn-on-voltage to 0 V. In addition, we show how the transistor behaviour of an amorphous polymer low-voltage transistor is affected by modification of the Al2O3 dielectric with self-assembled monolayers of molecules with different functional groups. Controlling the turn-on voltage is essential for any practical applications, especially for low-voltage transistors. This method opens new doors to designing stable, low-voltage organic circuitry in a reproducible manner.  相似文献

Extraction with supercritical carbon dioxide was used to quantity the amounts of seven different aroma vapours sorbed in polyethene films. The method was found to completely extract all aroma compounds from the films. The solution of aroma compounds in the polymer films decreased with increasing polymer density. Monoterpenes were always completely sorbed in the films, whereas aldehydes and ketones had a much lower affinity for the films. The sulphur-containing compound, thiophene, was difficult to analyse due to its adsorption on metal surfaces.  相似文献

A novel setup for the coupling of a commercially available thin-layer cell to electrospray mass spectrometry (ESI-MS) which allows the electrochemical reactions at the counter electrode to be straightforwardly separated from the flow into the mass spectrometer has been developed. In this way, interferences from reaction products formed at the counter electrode can be minimized. This reduces the risk of changes in the mass spectra as a result of electrochemical reactions in the solution. The described setup also enables the working electrode to be positioned close to the electrospray (ESI) emitter without the need for a grounding point or a long transfer line between the electrochemical cell and the electrospray emitter. By decoupling the electrochemical reactions in the flow cell and those in the electrospray emitter, improved facilities for studies of electrochemical reactions are obtained through a better control of the potential of the working electrode. The setup has been used to study the oxidation of a drug (Olsalazine), which previously has been found to involve chemical follow-up reactions. It is also demonstrated that uncharged thiols can be detected in ESI-MS after spontaneous adsorption on a gold working electrode, followed by oxidative desorption to yield sulfinates or sulfonates. This adsorption and potential-controlled desorption has been used for the preconcentration of micromolar concentrations of 1-hexanethiol as well as for desalting of solutions containing micromolar concentrations of thiols. The results indicate that the present on-line coupling of an electrochemical cell to ESI-MS provides promising possibilities for sample preconcentration, matrix exchange (including desalting), and ionization of neutral compounds, such as thiols.  相似文献

An algorithm for segmentation of diesel spray images has been developed. Its most important feature is robustness against experimental setups that fail to guarantee images whose histograms show two distinct peaks. According to the approach presented, only the peak from the background is used, and it is assumed that the background peak is narrow enough not to include too much of the spray. The algorithm has proved successful for evaluation of images from a pressurized vessel as well as from an engine with optical access, with no need for adjusting the tuning parameters. By adjusting them, one may tune the noise sensitivity.  相似文献

We present a model for quantitative measurements in binary mixtures of nitrogen and carbon monoxide by the use of dual-broadband rotational coherent anti-Stokes Raman spectroscopy. The model has been compared with experimental rotational coherent anti-Stokes Raman scattering spectra recorded within the temperature range of 294-702 K. Temperatures and concentrations were evaluated by spectral fits using libraries of theoretically calculated spectra. The relative error of the temperature measurements was 1-2%, and the absolute error of the CO concentration measurements was <0.5% for temperatures < or =600 K. For higher temperatures, the gas composition was not chemically stable, and we observed a conversion of CO to CO2. The influence of important spectroscopic parameters such as the anisotropic polarizability and Raman line-broadening coefficients are discussed in terms of concentration measurements. In particular, it is shown that the CO concentration measurement was more accurate if N2-CO and CO-N2 line-broadening coefficients were included in the calculation. The applicability of the model for quantitative flame measurements is demonstrated by measuring CO concentrations in ethylene/air flames.  相似文献

Globally Optimal Estimates for Geometric Reconstruction Problems   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:2  
We introduce a framework for computing statistically optimal estimates of geometric reconstruction problems. While traditional algorithms often suffer from either local minima or non-optimality—or a combination of both—we pursue the goal of achieving global solutions of the statistically optimal cost-function. Our approach is based on a hierarchy of convex relaxations to solve non-convex optimization problems with polynomials. These convex relaxations generate a monotone sequence of lower bounds and we show how one can detect whether the global optimum is attained at a given relaxation. The technique is applied to a number of classical vision problems: triangulation, camera pose, homography estimation and last, but not least, epipolar geometry estimation. Experimental validation on both synthetic and real data is provided. In practice, only a few relaxations are needed for attaining the global optimum.  相似文献
