The influence of walls on binary encounters of spherical particles under creeping flow is studied by means of the lattice Boltzmann method. Depending on the initial particle displacement different behaviours can be observed, including the 'swapping' trajectories. The domain of the swapping trajectories is identified for interacting spheres with the same diameter; some preliminary results are given for the case of two spheres with different diameters. Finally, the influence of particle swapping on the dynamics of monodisperse suspensions is also described.  相似文献

Wash-coated Pt/CeO2, Pt/CeO2/ZrO2 and Pt/Cu/CeO2 and Pt/CeO2/Al2O3 based formulations were tested in sandwich type microreactors for water–gas shift (WGS) activity. At low reaction temperature of 260 °C, low conversion of carbon monoxide was initially observed which increased considerably upon the addition of air, a behaviour which was observed even after multiple cycles of start-up, operation with and without air and shut-down. At a higher reaction temperature of 400 °C air addition did not further improve the performance of the catalysts, which converted the carbon monoxide already close to equilibrium. One of the catalysts was incorporated into a larger reactor of kW scale and tested for its performance under conditions of WGS and oxygen enhanced WGS. The carbon monoxide conversion was increased by the air addition also on the larger reactor.  相似文献

High-resolution synchrotron radiation photoemission was employed to study the effects of atomic-layer-deposited trimethylaluminum (TMA) and water on Ga-rich GaAs(001)-4 × 6 and As-rich GaAs(001)-2 × 4 surfaces. No high charge states were found in either As 3d or Ga 3d core-level spectra before and after the deposition of the precursors. TMA adsorption does not disrupt the GaAs surface structure. For the (4 × 6) surface, the TMA precursor existed in both chemisorbed and physisorbed forms. In the former, TMA has lost a methyl group and is bonded to the As of the As-Ga dimer. Upon water purge, the dimethylaluminum-As group was etched off, allowing the now exposed Ga to bond with oxygen. Water also changed the physisorbed TMA into the As-O-Al(CH3)2 configuration. This configuration was also found in 1 cycle of TMA and water exposure of the (2 × 4) surface, but with a greater strength, accounting for the high interface defect density in the mid-gap region.  相似文献

A complete miniaturized methanol fuel processor/fuel cell system was developed and put into operation as compact hydrogen supplier for low power application. The whole system consisting of a micro-structured evaporator, a micro-structured reformer and two stages of preferential oxidation of CO (PROX) reactor, micro-structured catalytic burner, and fuel cell was operated to evaluate the performance of the whole production line from methanol to electricity. The performance of micro methanol steam reformer and PROX reactor was systematically investigated. The effect of reaction temperature, steam to carbon ratio, and contact time on the methanol steam reformer performance is presented in terms of catalytic activity, selectivity, and reformate yield. The performance of PROX reactor fed with the reformate produced by the reformer reactor was evaluated by the variation of reaction temperature and oxygen to CO ratio. The results demonstrate that micro-structured device may be an attractive power source candidate for low power application.  相似文献

A recursive blind equalizer is presented that directly estimates the transmitted symbols of multiple cochannel signals in the presence of ISI. The algorithm exploits shift structure present in the data model and the finite alphabet property of the signals. The proposed method possesses a separation property that allows the symbol sequences for each user to be estimated independently of the others. Problematic issues surrounding unknown and mismatched channel lengths for the cochannel users can be handled effectively in the recursive equalizer. Additionally, if the cochannel signals are encoded prior to transmission, we show how the code structure can be incorporated into the recursive equalizer to improve its performance  相似文献

Different disciplines have landscape as the focal point of their research. They are successful in presenting new findings about landscapes within their specialisation, but collaboration—and thus, transfer of knowledge across disciplinary boundaries—is seldom realised because a common approach that bridges the gaps between disciplines is missing. Instead, different landscape concepts exist side by side. Yet, cooperation is required to tackle the various environmental and social problems related to landscapes. This paper provides an overview of the historical development of landscape concepts originating from different cultural and scientific trends, and presents a new complex concept of landscape, which is designed to enable transdisciplinary landscape research. The transdisciplinary landscape concept is based on five dimensions of landscapes: the spatial entity, the mental entity, the temporal dimension, the nexus of nature and culture, and the systemic properties of landscapes. In contrast to other approaches, it unites dimensions that are usually the domain of individual disciplines and makes it, thus, possible to capitalise on plurality in landscape research. The concept promotes landscape as the combination of the subsystems known as the geo-, bio- and noo-sphere, and is illustrated by the people–landscape interaction model. The concept can be applied to all human–landscape-related research, but is exemplified by two studies that have investigated the relationship between landscape and second-home tourism, and landscape and farming, respectively.  相似文献

6-Piperidino-3-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-6-carboxamide diastereomers 1a and 2a represent conformationally rigid analogues of 3a which is a building block in some pharmaceutical compounds. A new access to these compounds 1a and 2a was found via the cleavage of bicyclic N,N-acetal 6 with hydrocyanic acid as the stereodetermining step. Reaction of derivatives 1a and 2a with bromodiphenyl-butyronitrile 14 gave cyclopiritramide isomers 1c and 2c , respectively. Qualitative preliminary investigations showed different affinities of 1c and 2c to the opiate-μ receptor. These results were discussed on the basis of an X-ray structural analysis of cyclopiritramide isomer 2c . 1-Benzylcyclopiperidine derivatives 1d and 2d were used as model systems for studying the conformation of cyclopiritramide isomer 1c and 2c , respectively.  相似文献
