A novel tungsten light-shield structure has been developed. Tungsten film properties, the device configuration with the tungsten light-shield structure, and experimentally achieved results regarding device characteristics are described. Optical measurement clarified that tungsten film has a sufficiently low transmittance value for practical use for more than 200-nm-thick film and is stable up to 1000°C. The good step coverage and low reflectance, such as 20-40% for aluminum, required for light-shield film were also obtained. A tungsten light-shield structure was applied to a 1/2-in format 668(H)-pixel×575(V)-pixel charge coupled-device (CCD) image sensor. An extremely low smear value, less than 0.001%, was obtained for a 300-nm film thickness  相似文献

ABSTRACT:  Eriocitrin (eriodictyol 7- O -β-rutinoside) is the main flavonoid in lemon fruit. In this study, eriocitrin was investigated for its lowering effect on serum and hepatic lipids in high-fat and high-cholesterol fed rats. Rats in the control group ( N = 6) were fed a 20% lard and 1% cholesterol diet for 21 d, and rats in the 0.35% eriocitrin group ( N = 6) and 0.70% eriocitrin group ( N = 6) were fed a diet supplemented with eriocitrin 0.35% and 0.70%, respectively. The content of hepatic total cholesterol and triglyceride in the eriocitrin group was no different from that of the control group. The total cholesterol, VLDL+LDL, triglyceride, and phospholipid in the serum of the 0.35% eriocitrin group showed significantly lower concentrations than the control group ( P < 0.05), although there was no difference in the HDL concentrations among the groups. The lowering effect of eriocitrin for serum total cholesterol was thought to be caused by a decrease in VLDL+LDL. The 0.35% eriocitrin group was shown to have a significant increase in excretion of fecal bile acid ( P < 0.05) and a tendency for enhanced hepatic m-RNA levels of LDL receptor in comparison with the control group.  相似文献

The esters of dichloropropanols from the byproduct of hydrolysates during food processing were degraded by the cell-free extracts of a dichloropropanol-assimilating bacterium of Pseudomonas sp. OS-K-29. 1-Acyloxy-2,3-dichloropropane was hydrolysed into the corresponding carbonic acid and 2,3-dichloropropanol, and then the dichloropropanol was dechlorinated. The esterase activity of the cell-free extracts was effective for the esters of the dichloropropanols and monoacylglycerides, but not for hydrolysing the lipase substrates such as triacylglycerides and Tween 60. A comparative study using a series of octanoyl glycerides and the esters of the dichlopropanols showed that the substrate specificities of the cell-free extracts were similar to the monoacylglyceride lipase from Penicillium camembertii.  相似文献

OBJECTIVE: We investigated the in vitro immunomodulatory effects of sulfasalazine on B cells in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). METHODS: Reversed hemolytic plaque assay and 3H-thymidine incorporation were measured. RESULTS: B cells from patients with RA showed hyperactivity to stimulation by Staphylococcus aureus Cowan I. Sulfasalazine significantly inhibited this B cell hyperactivity in a dose dependent manner. The kinetic study and a decrease in 3H-thymidine incorporation on Day 3 indicate that sulfasalazine inhibited the early phase (0-48 h) of B cell proliferation in these patients. Sulfapyridine also inhibited B cell hyperactivity in these patients, but 5-aminosalicylic acid and N-acetylsulfapyridin had no significant effect. CONCLUSION: Sulfasalazine exhibited a direct immunosuppressive effect on B cell hyperactivity in patients with RA, which may be responsible for its therapeutic effectiveness in this disorder.  相似文献

An acidic glycolipid (Band 1), purified from P. brasiliensis by a combination of ion exchange chromatography, HPLC, and HPTLC, was found to be reactive with sera of all patients with paracoccidioidomycosis (PCM). Monosaccharide analysis of Band 1 yielded mannose and galactose in a 2:1 ratio, while mild acid hydrolysis and mild periodate oxidation/NaB3H4 reduction indicated the presence of a terminal galactofuranose. Preliminary analysis of 1H-NMR and MS data suggests that the structure of the glycan is Galf beta 1-->6(Manp alpha 1-->3)Manp beta 1-->2Ins (Ins = myo-inositol). Removal of the galacto-furanose decreased by 60-80% the reactivity of sera from PCM patients with Band 1, suggesting that this residue is immunodominant. With the presumed absence of galactofuranose in mammalian hosts, compounds containing this residue may be useful targets for therapy of several parasitic and fungal diseases.  相似文献

The effect of largest follicle aspiration or hCG administration before induction of superovulation on the ovarian response of Japanese Black beef cows was investigated using a crossover design in which induction of superovulation was attempted in every cow. The superovulatory response of cows whose largest follicle had been aspirated from the ovaries by ultrasound-guided follicular aspiration 1 day before induction of superovulation, did not differ from the response in non-treated control cows. In contrast, in cows given 5,000 IU of hCG 3 days before induction of superovulation, the proportions of fertilized ova and transferable embryos significantly decreased compared with the other groups.  相似文献

An ultrahigh-speed 8 bit multiplexer (MUX) has been developed for future-generation optical-fiber communication systems having a data rate of 20 Gb/s. This IC was fabricated using a 0.5 μm WNx/W-gate GaAs MESFET process based on optical lithography, ion implantation, and furnace annealing for good reproducibility and high throughput. The WNx/W bilayer gate has a low sheet resistance, improving the circuit high frequency performance. To attain 20 GHz operation, advanced circuit techniques for the source-coupled FET logic (SCFL) were introduced. A cross coupled source-follower (CCSF) was developed mainly for the highest speed buffers to enhance the bandwidth. PURPOSE OF STUDY: Interleukin-2 (IL-2) is a potent activator of lymphocytes, but its effectiveness as an anti-cancer agent is compromised by several adverse side effects including pulmonary edema. One explanation for the pulmonary toxicity of IL-2 is that activated lymphocytes directly induce the pulmonary vascular endothelium to become more leaky. METHODS: To test this hypothesis the number of total lymphocytes, gamma delta T cells, and CD2-positive cells (alpha beta T cells and natural killer cells) in peripheral blood and lung lymph of sheep were compared before and after IL-2 infusion. Hemodynamic and lymph dynamic changes were also evaluated. RESULTS: IL-2 decreased mean aortic pressure, increased cardiac output, lowered systemic vascular resistance, and doubled lung lymph flow (P < or = 0.05), but had no effect on plasma or lymph oncotic pressure. The lymph protein concentration and the lymph-to-plasma protein concentration ratio were not different after IL-2 infusion. IL-2 had no effect on the number of total lymphocytes, gamma delta T cells, or CD2-positive cells in the peripheral blood. In contrast, the number of total lymphocytes, gamma delta T cells, and CD2-positive cells in lung lymph decreased significantly (P < or = 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The lymphocyte populations decreased more than could be explained by the increase in lymph flow, demonstrating that lung lymphocytes were not reduced simply by dilution. These results imply that the pulmonary edema associated with IL-2 is not caused by activated lymphocytes.  相似文献
