The problem of an elastic beam under the periodic loading of successive moving masses is investigated as a pragmatic case for studying dynamic stability of linear time-varying systems. This model serves to highlight the odds of multi-solutions coexistence, a form of hidden instability which reveals dangerous as it may be precipitated by the slightest disturbance or variation in the model. Since no engineering model perfectly represents a physical system, such situations for which Floquet theory naively predicts stability are potentially inevitable. The harmonic balancing method is used in order to thoroughly explore the stability diagrams for detecting these instability gaps. Although this phenomenon has also been described in other physical systems, it has not been addressed for beam–moving mass systems. This result may find particular importance in applications involving self-induced vibrations of elastic structures and hence also appears of practical relevance.  相似文献

CeO2 and Co3O4–CeO2 nanoparticles were synthesized, thoroughly characterized, and evaluated in the COPrOx reaction. The CeO2 nanoparticles were synthesized by the diffusion-controlled precipitation method with ethylene glycol. A notably higher yield was obtained when H2O2 was used in the synthesis procedure. For comparison, two commercial samples of CeO2 nanoparticles (Nyacol®)—one calcined and the other sintered—were also studied. Catalytic results of bare CeO2 calcined at 500 °C showed a strong influence of the method of synthesis. Despite having similar BET area values, the CeO2 synthesized without H2O2 was the most active sample. Co3O4–CeO2 catalysts with three different Co/(Co + Ce) atomic ratios, 0.1, 0.3, and 0.5, were prepared by the wet impregnation of the CeO2 nanoparticles. TEM and STEM observations showed that impregnation produced mixed oxides composed of small CeO2 nanoparticles located both over the surface and inside the Co3O4 crystals. The mixed oxide catalysts prepared with a cobalt atomic ratio of 0.5 showed methane formation, which started at 200 °C due to the reaction between CO2 and H2. However, above 250 °C, the reaction between CO and H2 became important, thus contributing to CO elimination with a small H2 loss. As a result, CO could be totally eliminated in a wide temperature range, from 200 to 400 °C. The methanation reaction was favored by the reduction of the cobalt oxide, as suggested by the TPR experiments. This result is probably originated in Ce–Co interactions, related to the method of synthesis and the surface area of the mixed oxides obtained.  相似文献

This paper presents a semisupervised dimensionality reduction (DR) method based on the combination of semisupervised learning (SSL) and metric learning (ML) (CSSLML-DR) in order to overcome some existing limitations in HSIs analysis. Specifically, CSSML focuses on the difficulties of high dimensionality of hyperspectral images (HSIs) data, the insufficient number of labelled samples and inappropriate distance metric. CSSLML aims to learn a local metrics under which the similar samples are pushed as close as possible, and simultaneously, the different samples are pulled away as far as possible. CSSLML constructs two local-reweighted dynamic graphs in an iterative two-steps approach: L-step and V-step. In L-step, the local between-class and within-class graphs are updated. In V-step, the transformation matrix and the reduced space are updated. The algorithm is repeated until a stopping criterion is satisfied. Experimental results on two well-known hyperspectral image data sets demonstrate the superiority of CSSLML algorithm compared to some traditional DR methods.  相似文献

Conventional hepatitis B vaccine contains alum but is less effective to induce Th1 response. Selenium nanoparticles and Bacillus Calmette–Guerin were reported as immune modulators. In this study, SeNPs were extracted from Mycobacterium bovis and characterised. SeNPs were mixed with HBs‐Ag and administered to the mice to investigate he immune response pattern. With an addition of Se ions at a sub‐inhibitory concentration to the Sauton medium broth after 24 h, SeNPs were extracted from M. bovis and characterised by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, dynamic light scattering, atomic forcemicroscopy, energy dispersive X‐ray spectrum, transmission electron microscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis. Furthermore, female inbred BALB/c mice were injected subcutaneously on the first, 14th, 28th day with 100 and 200 µg doses of that SeNPs supplemented with HBs‐Ag vaccine. Later, the total antibody, isotypes of Immunoglobulin G1, Interlukin 4, and interferon‐γ were measured by enzye‐linked immunosorbent assay. The size of the SeNPs was <150 nm. Level of total antibody and immunoglobulin G2a increased significantly in the group that received 200 µg/ml nano selenium extracted from M. bovis. There is a growing interest in the development of microelectronics that can perform reliably and robustly at temperatures above 300 °C. Such devices require stable thermal properties, low thermal drift, and thermal cycling resistance. Conventional hybrid circuit technology demonstrates high-temperature packages, but the high costs and lead time are significant drawbacks. In contrast, additive manufacturing processes, including aerosol jet printing (AJP), offer cost and time benefits, as well as 3D structures and embedded features. However, the properties and reliability of additive packaging materials at extreme temperatures are not well known. Herein, the reliability at temperatures up to 750 °C in terms of electrical performance and mechanical strength of aerosol jet printed gold thick films onto ceramic substrates are assessed. Thermal coefficient of resistance of printed gold films is measured. The electrical resistance stability and leakage current of printed gold structures are also characterized during over 100 h of aging at temperatures up to 750 °C. Finally, the mechanical adhesion strength of the printed gold films is evaluated after aging for 100 h at temperatures up to 750 °C. The adhesion of the printed gold to the ceramic substrates remains high after aging, very stable resistances and minimal leakage currents have been observed.  相似文献

A nonlinear model with on-line parameter estimation using recursive identification for switched reluctance motors (SRMs) is presented. The model is robust toward parameter variations in the motor or any system disturbances. The parameters of the model are adjusted to account for errors in rotor position, which allows the use of crude inexpensive position sensors. The proposed modeling approach allows self-tuning of SRMs in a production unit. We propose a compact split-step finite difference method to solve the nonlinear Schrödinger equations with constant and variable coefficients. This method improves the accuracy of split-step finite difference method by introducing a compact scheme for discretization of space variable while this improvement does not reduce the stability range and does not increase the computational cost. This method also preserves some conservation laws. Numerical tests are presented to confirm the theoretical results for the new numerical method by using the cubic nonlinear Schrödinger equation with constant and variable coefficients and Gross-Pitaevskii equation.  相似文献

In this article, the design and realization of waveguide filter with improved stop‐band response is presented. By inserting transversal slots at the proper position of cavities, without disturbing the field distribution of the dominant mode, the second longitudinal resonant modes are radiated out. This caused the out‐of‐band frequency response of the filter to be improved. The validity of the proposed technique is confirmed by comparison between measurement values and simulation results from the finite element method through the commercial software (high frequency structure simulator). This paper introduces an analytical method for approximating the performance of a firm real-time system consisting of a number of parallel infinite-capacity single-server queues. The service discipline for the individual queues is earliest-deadline-first (EDF). Real-time jobs with exponentially distributed relative deadlines arrive according to a Poisson process. Jobs either all have deadlines until the beginning of service or deadlines until the end of service. Upon arrival, a job joins a queue according to a state-dependent stationary policy, where the state of the system is the number of jobs in each queue. Migration among the queues is not allowed. An important performance measure to consider is the overall loss probability of the system. The system is approximated by a Markovian model in the long run. The resulting model can then be solved analytically using standard Markovian solution techniques. Comparing numerical and simulation results for at least three different stationary policies, we find that the existing errors are relatively small.  相似文献
