Several kinds of (TMPS/DMS) block copolymers having various compositions and segment lengths were synthesized by the polycondensation of p-bis(dimethylhydroxysilyl)benzene and silanol-terminated DMS oligomers of different degrees of polymerization, which were 19, 43, 300, 380 and 540 DMS monomer units. The compositions ranged from TMPS/DMS wt% ratio of 100/0 to 24/76. For these copolymers, differential scanning calorimetry was carried out to determine the melting temperatures, the heat of fusion and the crystallinities. The melting temperatures and the crystallinities of the block copolymers were found to decrease as DMS contents were increased from 11 to 76 wt% and as DMS segment lengths were decreased from 540 to 19. The crystalline parts of TMPS segment would be increased according to the long TMPS sequences which were obtained from the copolymerizations by using DMS oligomers with high degrees of polymerization such as 300, 380 and 540. The stress-strain behaviour and the dynamic mechanical behaviour were also investigated for these copolymers. The tensile strength was decreased and the percentage elongation was increased with increasing DMS content and segment length. In the case of the copolymers for which the DMS contents remained constant at 26 wt%, two major transitions were observed at around ?120° and ?10°C for the copolymers having DMS block sizes of 300, 380 and 540. But for the copolymers having those of 19 and 43 the two transitions merged together at ?50°C. The relaxations at ?120°C corresponding to the glass transition of DMS component and those at ?10°C are due to the amorphous TMPS phase which is separated from the DMS phase owing to the longer sequence length. The relaxation observed around ?50°C is due to the shorter sequence length of TMPS in the main chain plus the presence of more flexible DMS component. It may be suggested that the long sequence length causes large domains of hard and soft phases which consist of TMPS and DMS blocks respectively. 相似文献

The present paper describes a model representation of the multi-cyclic phenomena of a multi-cylinder engine system. The model is simplified for the implementation of a practical engine controller. The simplified model is described by physically meaningful state variables, which enables controller designers to effectively consider practical objectives and constraints. The proposed approach consists of two steps. First, an approximate analytical discrete-crank angle model, which is a periodic state equation, is derived from the gas equations, the conservation laws, and the motion dynamics. Second, the concept of role state variables is proposed to transform the periodic state equation into a time-invariant state equation. The stabilizability and detectability of the time-invariant state equation are shown to be equivalent to those of the periodic state equation. This paper describes the effects of the installation of various countermeasures against urban heat-island (UHI) and energy-saving measures on UHI and global warming. A UHI and energy-consumption simulation model was developed by combining the one-dimensional meteorological canopy and building energy use models; further, the proposed model was expanded to evaluate the year-round air temperature and annual energy consumption. The simulation results showed that the humidification and albedo increase at building-wall surfaces reduced the total number of hours for which the air temperature was more than 30 °C during the daytime by more than 60 (h) per year. The UHI countermeasures reduced the annual energy-consumption despite causing a small increase during the winter period. However, they may result in certain unfavorable conditions for pedestrians. Energy-saving measures, on the other hand, reduce the total number of hours for which the air temperature is more than 30 °C by only a few hours per year. Thus, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the UHI countermeasures and measures against global warming by extending the calculation period from summer to an entire year. 相似文献

To enhance the fracture toughness of silicon carbide (SiC) ceramics and prevent the generation of cracks and chippings in the SiC ceramics during machining process, carbon nanofibres (CNFs) were compounded with SiC. The densification and microstructure development of the CNFs/SiC composites pressureless sintered in Ar atmosphere were investigated. The fracture toughness of SiC ceramics was enhanced by the addition of 1–3 wt% CNFs, which resulted from the pullout and/or bridging effect of CNFs bonded much more closely with SiC. Eu-doped transparent mica glass–ceramics were prepared, the influence of Eu-doping on the crystallization of the parent glasses was investigated and the luminescent properties of the parent glasses and the glass–ceramics were estimated. A small additive amount of Eu element was very effective in preparing transparent mica glass–ceramics. However, the excess addition led to the coarsening of phase separation in the glass phase and the separation of unidentified crystal phases and β-eucryptite during heating of the parent glasses, which caused white opaque at lower heating temperatures. When mica crystals were separated, Eu ions entered the interlayers of mica crystals. The observed emission and excitation spectra showed that parts of Eu3+ ions which were added as Eu2O3 were reduced to Eu2+ ions during melting of the starting materials and heating the parent glasses in air and the energy transfer from Eu2+ to Eu3+ ions occurred. 相似文献

A simple capillary microreactor was tested as a potential reactor to carry out a multiphase reaction. The hydrolysis of benzyl chloride in a biphasic system was investigated. The capillary microreactor was irradiated by 28 kHz ultrasound at different temperatures, capillary lengths and phase flow rates. It was found that the combination of microreactor technique and the ultrasound irradiation provides a promising protocol for process intensification. Under sonication conditions, higher conversions were obtained compared to silent conditions. The presence of ultrasound has affected the multiphase slug size and promoted better internal circulation within these slugs. An altered ambulatory blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) profile is related to chronic kidney disease (CKD) and cardiorenal syndrome. In this study, we examined the effects of aliskiren, when added to angiotensin II type 1 receptor blockers, on ambulatory BP and cardiorenal function in CKD. Thirty-six hypertensive CKD patients were randomly assigned to the aliskiren add-on group (n = 18) or the benazepril add-on group (n = 18). Ambulatory BP and cardiorenal function parameters were measured at baseline and 24 weeks after treatment. Compared with the benazepril group, nighttime systolic BP variability in the aliskiren group was lower after treatment. Albuminuria was decreased in the aliskiren group, but not in the benazepril group. In addition, left ventricular mass index (LVMI) was significantly lower in the aliskiren group than in the benazepril group after treatment. In the aliskiren group, multivariate linear regression analysis showed an association between changes in albuminuria and changes in nighttime systolic BP. Furthermore, there were associations between changes in LVMI and changes in daytime HR variability, as well as between changes in LVMI and changes in plasma aldosterone concentration. These results suggest that aliskiren add-on therapy may be beneficial for suppression of renal deterioration and pathological cardiac remodeling through an improvement that is effected in ambulatory BP and HR profiles. 相似文献

conditions. Analyses by SDS-PAGE, N-terminal amino acid sequence, and sucrose density gradient centrifugation showed that
the pseudoglycinin from the highly purified homo-subunit, A3B4, was reconstituted. The A3B4 pseudoglycinin was similar to the native glycinin with respect to molecular size, subunit structure, and secondary structure.

Production of cyclo[-->6)-alpha-D-Glcp-(1-->3)-alpha-D-Glcp-(1-->6)-alpha-D-Glcp-(1-->3)-alpha-D-Glcp-(1-->] (CTS, cyclic tetrasaccharide) from starch was attempted using 1,6-alpha-glucosyltransferase (6GT) and 1,3-alpha-isomaltosyltransferase (IMT) from Bacillus globisporus C11. The optimal conditions for production from partially hydrolyzed starch were as follows: substrate concentration, 3%; pH 6-7; temperature, 30 degrees C; 6GT, 1 unit/g-dry solid (DS); IMT, 10 units/g-DS. The production of CTS was demonstrated and 544 g of CTS hydrate crystal powders were obtained from 3500 g of partially hydrolyzed starch. Two major by-products were also isolated from the reaction mixture and identified as the branched derivatives of CTSs, 4-O-alpha-D-glucopyranosyl-CTS and 3-O-alpha-isomaltosyl-CTS. 相似文献

Amorphous and nanocrystalline TiO(2) thin films coated on a vitreous silica substrate by a solgel dip coating method are investigated for optical properties by spectroscopic ellipsometry (SE) together with transmission spectroscopy. A method of analysis of SE data to determine the degree of inhomogeneity of TiO(2) films has also been presented. Instead of the refractive index, the volume fraction of void has been assumed to vary along the thickness of the films and an excellent agreement between the experimental and calculated data of SE below the fundamental band gap has been obtained. The transmission spectrum of these samples is inverted to obtain the extinction coefficient k spectrum in the wavelength range of 300-1600 nm by using the refractive indices and parameters of structure determined by SE. The nonzero extinction coefficient below the fundamental band-gap energy (3.2 eV) has been obtained for the nanocrystalline TiO(2) and shows the presence of optical scattering in the film. 相似文献
