We investigated the ground state of the infinite dimensional Hubbard model for both attractive and repulsive interactions by applying Gutzwiller type variational wave functions. Our variational wave functions have lower energies than the simple BCS wave function for the attractive case, and lower energies than the Brinkman-Rice state for the repulsive case. We found that the system has several phases depending on the density of electrons and the interaction strength. Investigated phases include antiferromagnetic, Fermi liquid, superconducting, charge density wave, and supersolid phases. The last one is a coexistence phase of superconducting and charge density wave states.  相似文献

Fluoroacetate dehalogenase (EC 3.8.1.3) catalyzes the dehalogenation of fluoroacetate and other haloacetates. The amino acid sequence of fluoroacetate dehalogenase from Moraxella sp. B is similar to that of haloalkane dehalogenase (EC 3.8.1.5) from Xanthobacter autotrophicus GJ10 in the regions around Asp-105 and His-272, which correspond to the active site nucleophile Asp-124 and the base catalyst His-289 of the haloalkane dehalogenase, respectively (Krooshof, G. H., Kwant, E. M., Damborsky, J., Koca, J., and Janssen, D. B. (1997) Biochemistry 36, 9571-9580). After multiple turnovers of the fluoroacetate dehalogenase reaction in H218O, the enzyme was digested with trypsin, and the molecular masses of the peptide fragments formed were measured by ion-spray mass spectrometry. Two 18O atoms were shown to be incorporated into the octapeptide, Phe-99-Arg-106. Tandem mass spectrometric analysis of this peptide revealed that Asp-105 was labeled with two 18O atoms. These results indicate that Asp-105 acts as a nucleophile to attack the alpha-carbon of the substrate, leading to the formation of an ester intermediate, which is subsequently hydrolyzed by the nucleophilic attack of a water molecule on the carbonyl carbon atom. A His-272 --> Asn mutant (H272N) showed no activity with either fluoroacetate or chloroacetate. However, ion-spray mass spectrometry revealed that the H272N mutant enzyme was covalently alkylated with the substrate. The reaction of the H272N mutant enzyme with [14C]chloroacetate also showed the incorporation of radioactivity into the enzyme. These results suggest that His-272 probably acts as a base catalyst for the hydrolysis of the covalent ester intermediate.  相似文献

The authors examine the reflectivity of the quasi-graded distributed Bragg reflector using the stopband width. The stopband width of about 1000 Å for a reflectivity of about 99% is able to be measured with an accuracy of ± 1 Å. Thus, the reflectivity is determined with high accuracy from the stopband width. It is found that the quasi-graded distributed Bragg reflector is a high-quality reflector with high reflectivity and low resistance  相似文献

Four types of lipid emulsion for highly lipophilic antitumour agent RS-1541 (13-O-palmitoylrhizoxin) with mean particle diameters of 200-260 nm were prepared using soybean oil (SOY) or dioctanoyldecanoylglycerol (ODO) for the oil phase and lecithin (LEC) or polyoxyethylene-(60)-hydrogenated castor oil (HCO-60) for surfactants. The lipolysis rate of HCO-60-emulsified emulsions by lipoprotein lipase was much slower than that of LEC-emulsified emulsions. Particle sizes of emulsions incubated in plasma with the lipase for six hours were 75%, 79%, 101%, and 93% of initial values for SOY/LEC, ODO/LEC, SOY/HCO-60, and ODO/HCO-60 emulsions, respectively, showing an apparent size decrease for LEC-emulsified emulsions. In rats, uptake clearance values of SOY/LEC and ODO/LEC emulsions of RS-1541 in the reticuloendothelial system (RES) were 81.2 and 135.3 mL h(-1), respectively, and AUC values were 4.0 and 1.3 microg h mL(-1), respectively. In contrast, RES uptake clearances of HCO-60 emulsions of RS-1541 were considerably lower (4.2 mL h(-1) for SOY/HCO-60; 2.2 mL h(-1) for ODO/HCO-60), resulting in high AUC values (35.4 microg h mL(-1) for SOY/ HCO-60; 63.9 microg h mL(-1) for ODO/HCO-60). The concentrations of RS-1541 in tumour tissues after an intravenous administration of ODO/HCO-60 emulsions of RS-1541 to mice bearing solid tumour M5076 sarcoma were about ten times higher than those after the administration of SOY/LEC emulsions. These results indicate that HCO-60 emulsions, compared with conventional LEC emulsions, are more stable to lipoprotein lipase and show low uptakes by RES organs, long circulations in the plasma, and high distributions in tumours. Thus, these sterically stabilized emulsions could show potential as effective carriers for highly lipophilic antitumour agents to enhance the drug delivery in tumours.  相似文献

The resist pattern fluctuations on the nano-scale are successfully observed using a dynamic force mode AFM. A scaling analysis based on the fractals applies to the AFM images for quantitative evaluation of the fluctuations. The standard deviation of width fluctuations in a ZEP resist pattern is 2.8 nm. The scaling analysis confirms that the surface morphology of the pattern sidewall is almost the same as that of the resist film lightly exposed by an electron beam. The main cause of the fluctuation is structures with a diameter of 20–30 nm which are composed of large groups of molecules.  相似文献
