The low shear rate rheology of two phase mesophase pitches derived from coal tar pitch has been investigated. Particulate quinoline insolubles (QI) stabilised the mesophase spheres against coalescence. Viscosity measurements over the range 10–106 Pa s were made at appropriate temperature ranges. Increasing shear thinning behaviour was evident with increasing mesophase content. At low mesophase contents the dominant effect on the near Newtonian viscosity was temperature but at higher contents it was the shear rate; temperature dependence declined to near zero. The data indicated that agglomeration could be occurring at intermediate mesophase volume fractions, 0.2–0.3. The Krieger–Dougherty function and its emulsion analogue indicated that in this region the mesophase pitch emulsions actually behaved like ‘hard’ sphere systems and the effective volume fraction was estimated as a function of shear rate illustrating the change in extent of agglomeration. At the higher volume fractions approaching the maximum packing fraction, which could only be measured at higher temperatures, the shear thinning behaviour changed in character and it is considered that this is possibly due to shear induced deformation and breakup of dispersed drops in the shear field.  相似文献

The results of formation of the high density effective scintillation ceramics consisting of two compounds of the cubic symmetry, LuAG:Ce and Lu2O3 (LuAG:Ce + Lu2O3), are described. Powders of a novel material LuAG:Ce + Lu2O3 were synthesized by co-precipitation method. The introduction of Lu2O3 into LuAG:Ce was shown to increase the density of the ceramics obtained and modify its scintillation properties.  相似文献

The Er3+ doped oxyfluorogermanate glasses, with a composition containing Na element, were synthesized by the conventional melting–quenching technique. When Na element was introduced into the composition of oxyfluorogermanate glass, the crystals behavior was investigated in details. Depending on the annealing procedure supplied, thermal annealing of precursor glasses in the system GeO2/BaF2/AlF3/Na2O/NaF/ZnO/GdF3/ErF3 led to the precipitation of different crystal phase nanocrystals. It was confirmed the nanocrystals in GC600 is orthorhombic NaBaAlF6 which led to enhance obviously in the UC luminescence of Er3+. However, the nanocrystals in G585 led to decrease in the UC luminescence, which indicated few Er ions enter into the lattice of this nanocrystal phase. The reason of the decrease in UC emission intensity of GC585 was analyzed.  相似文献

The compound containing carbazole and thiophene, named as B1 was synthesized with 4-(9H-carbazol-9-yl) phenol and 3,4-dibromo thiophene. Additionally, the electrochemical polymer of B1 was synthesized and coated onto an ITO-glass surface via electrochemical oxidative polymerization. The electrochemical synthesis of the polymer was performed both in 0.05 M LiClO4 supporting electrolyte in AN/BF3EtE (1:1, v/v) and an AN/LiClO4 solvent/electrolyte solution. The compounds were characterized by FT-IR and NMR techniques. The spectroelectrochemical and electrochromic properties of this polymer were also investigated for two electrolyte solution systems. The switching ability of this polymer was measured as the percent transmittance (%T) at its point of maximum contrast. According to the electrochromic measurements, the synthesized polymer had a blue color when it was oxidized, and also when it was reduced, it had a transparent color. Additionally, redox stability measurements indicates that the polymer had a high stability and it could be used to produce new polymeric electrochromic devices and also, it was a good candidate for electrochromic devices (ECDs) applications.  相似文献

Waxy, normal and high-amylose maize starches were subjected to heat-moisture treatment (HMT) and then added to wheat flour (WF) in different ratios (1%, 5% and 10%). The properties of blends and their cooked noodles were studied to investigate the effects of HMT starches. The incorporation of HMT starch in WF led to an increase in swelling power, peak viscosity and breakdown and to a decrease in setback, thus inhibiting retrogradation, hence enhancing resultant noodle softness. Compared to the same addition ratio of native starch to WF, HMT starch led to higher tensile strength and extensibility in resultant noodles. WF with added HMT starch had higher resistant starch than with native starch. This study showed that addition of HMT maize starch has potential to bring nutritional benefits. However, it is necessary to select the proper blending ratio and amylose content of starch to add, in consideration of its effect on noodle quality.  相似文献

Silicon nitride (Si3N4) based ceramics were fabricated with β-SiAlON and Si3N4 powders synthesized by combustion synthesis method via power injection molding (PIM). In the PIM process, the solids loading for each material was first determined from the results of the torque rheometer experiment. The mixing process was repeated to produce the homogeneous feedstock, and homogeneity of feedstocks was evaluated by observing the shear viscosity with time at a constant shear rate. The rheological behavior of feedstocks was investigated using capillary rheometer. It found that both feedstocks have no problem in injection molding. The binder decomposition behavior was also investigated, and a wax-polymer binder system was nearly removed by the optimized solvent and thermal debinding processes. Thereafter, the debound samples were sintered at 1750 and 1800 °C for 4 h in nitrogen atmosphere. Regardless of sintering temperature, the relative density of higher than about 96% was achieved. When comparing mechanical properties including bending strength, Vickers hardness and fracture toughness, Si3N4 with 2 wt% Y2O3 and 5 wt% Al2O3 (Si3N4+2Y5A) had higher values than β-SiAlON with 4 wt% Y2O3 (β-SiAlON+4Y) regardless of sintering temperature. It was supported by observing the microstructures of the plasma-etched samples.  相似文献

Ba0.5Sr0.5Co0.8Fe0.2O3-δ (BSCF), which exhibits a high mixed oxide ionic-electronic conduction, was used for the fabrication of an oxygen separation membrane. An asymmetric structure, which was a thin and dense BSCF membrane layer supported on a porous BSCF substrate, was fabricated by the electrophoretic deposition method (EPD). Porous BSCF supports were prepared by the uniaxial pressing method using a powder mixture with BSCF and starch as the pore-forming agent (0–50 wt.%). The sintering behaviors of the porous support and the thin layer were separately characterized by dilatometry to determine the co-fired temperature at which cracking did not occur. A crack-free and thin dense membrane layer, which had about a 15 μm thickness and >95% relative density, was obtained after optimizing the processes of EPD and sintering. The dense/porous interface was well-bonded and the oxygen permeation flux was 2.5 ml (STP) min−1 cm-2 at 850 °C.  相似文献

Hierarchical-Beta zeolites have been hydrothermally synthesized by adding a new gemini organic surfactant. The used gemini surfactant play the role of a “pore-forming agents” on the mesoscale, on the same time, providing alkaline environment for the system. With this hierarchical Beta zeolite as the core support, we successfully prepared a shell layer of Ni-containing (22 wt%) petal-like core-shell-like catalyst and applied it to bioethanol steam reforming. At the reaction temperature of 350 °C–550 °C, the conversion rate of ethanol and the selectivity of hydrogen were always above 85% and 70%. After reaction of 100 h on stream at 400 °C, there were not obvious inactivation could be observed on NiNPs/OH-MBeta catalyst.  相似文献

An efficient acousto-optic Q-switched Yb-doped Gd3AlxGa5−xO12 (GAGG) (x = 0.5) laser is demonstrated. Under the absorbed pump power of 7.4 W, the maximum average output power of 1.4 W is obtained at the pulse repletion rate of 1 kHz , with the slope efficiency as high as 32%. The pulse width of 40 ns is achieved with the pulse energy and peak power of 1.4 mJ and 35 kW, respectively. What’ more, the output spectrum shows itself tri-wavelength in either CW or Q-switching mode. To our knowledge, this is the first time for realizing simultaneous tri-wavelength Yb:GAGG laser actively Q-switched operation.  相似文献
