Comparison of co-current and counter-current flow in a bifunctional reactor containing ammonia synthesis and 2-butanol dehydrogenation to MEK

In this study, a multi-tubular thermally coupled packed bed reactor in which simultaneous production of ammonia and methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) takes place is simulated. The simulation results are presented in two co-current and counter-current flow modes. Based on this new configuration, the released heat from the ammonia synthesis reaction as an extremely exothermic reaction in the inner tube is employed to supply the required heat for the endothermic 2-butanol dehydrogenation reaction in the outer tube. On the other hand, MEK and hydrogen are produced by the dehydrogenation reaction of 2-butanol in the endothermic side, and the produced hydrogen is used to supply a part of the ammonia synthesis feed in the exothermic side. Thus, 30.72% and 31.88% of the required hydrogen for the ammonia synthesis are provided by the dehydrogenation reaction in the co-current and counter-current configurations, respectively. Also, according to the thermal coupling, the required cooler and furnace for the ammonia synthesis and 2-butanol dehydrogenation conventional plants are eliminated, respectively. As a result, operational costs, energy consumption and furnace emissions are considerably decreased. Finally, a sensitivity analysis and optimization are applied to study the effect of the main process parameters variation on the system performance and obtain the minimum hydrogen make-up flow rate, respectively.     

Unique CNTs-chained Li4Ti5O12 nanoparticles as excellent high rate anode materials for Li-ion capacitors

Composite anode materials with a unique architecture of carbon nanotubes (CNTs)-chained spinel lithium titanate (Li₄Ti₅O₁₂, LTO) nanoparticles are prepared for lithium ion capacitors (LICs). The CNTs networks derived from commercial conductive slurry not only bring out a steric hindrance effect to restrict the growth of Li₄Ti₅O₁₂ particles but greatly enhance the electronic conductivity of the CNTs/LTO composites, both have contributed to the excellent rate capability and cycle stability. The capacity retention at 30 C (1 C = 175 mA g^?1) is as high as 89.7% of that at 0.2 C with a CNTs content of 11 wt%. Meanwhile, there is not any capacity degradation after 500 cycles at 5 C. The LIC assembled with activated carbon (AC) cathode and such a CNTs/LTO composite anode displays excellent energy storage properties, including a high energy density of 35 Wh kg^?1 at 7434 W kg^?1, and a high capacity retention of 87.8% after 2200 cycles at 1 A g^?1. These electrochemical performances outperform the reported data achieved on other LTO anode-based LICs. Considering the facile and scalable preparation process proposed herein, the CNTs/LTO composites can be very potential anode materials for hybrid capacitors towards high power-energy outputs.

Fault tolerance of hypercubes and folded hypercubes

Let \(G = (V,E)\) be a connected graph. The conditional edge connectivity \(\lambda _\delta ^k(G)\) is the cardinality of the minimum edge cuts, if any, whose deletion disconnects \(G\) and each component of \(G - F\) has \(\delta \ge k\) . We assume that \(F \subseteq E\) is an edge set, \(F\) is called edge extra-cut, if \(G - F\) is not connected and each component of \(G - F\) has more than \(k\) vertices. The edge extraconnectivity \(\lambda _\mathrm{e}^k(G)\) is the cardinality of the minimum edge extra-cuts. In this paper, we study the conditional edge connectivity and edge extraconnectivity of hypercubes and folded hypercubes.     

基于线性判别边信息结合PHL的三维人脸识别

针对三维人脸识别中受光照、姿态、表情等变化而影响识别性能的问题,提出了一种原型超平面学习算法。利用SVM将弱标记数据集中的每个样本表示为一个原型超平面中层特征,使用学习组合系数从未标记的通用数据集中选择支持向量稀疏集;借助于Fisher准则最大化未标记数据集的判别能力,使用迭代优化算法求解目标函数;利用SILD进行特征提取,余弦相似性度量完成最终的人脸识别。在USCD/Honda、FRGC v2、LFW及自己搜集的人脸数据集上的实验结果表明,该算法优于其他几种三维人脸识别算法。     

Production and characterization of biosurfactant from Bacillus subtilis CCTCC AB93108

The production and properties of the biosurfactant synthesized by Bacillus subtilis CCTCC AB93108 were studied. The maximum concentration of the surfactant is 1.64 g/L when the bacteria grow in a medium supplemented with glucose as carbon sources. The isolated biosurfactant is a complex of protein and polysaccharide without lipids. It reduces the surface tension of distilled water to 45.9 mN/m, and its critical micelle concentration (CMC) is 2.96 g/L. It can stabilize emulsions of several aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbons, such as benzene, xylene, n-pentane, n-nonane, gasoline and diesel oil. It presents high emulsification activity and stability in a wide range of temperature (4-100℃) and a long period of duration.     

不同载体端面造型的催化转换器数值模拟

用CFD软件FLUENT对3种不同载体端面造型的催化转换器的速度场、压力场进行了三维稳态流动数值模拟,模拟结果显示：载体端面造型对催化转换器的气流分布有很大影响,采用球形端面载体和锥形端面载体不仅可减少入口扩张管的气流分离,而且可以使其内部速度分布更均匀.     

调速阀式旁路节流调速系统动态特性理论及试验研究

针对负载变化时旁路节流调速回路存在的液压缸输出前冲和液压缸进油腔压力冲击的问题,采用理论分析与试验研究相结合的方法,研究了调速阀式旁路节流调速系统参数变化对系统动态特性的影响.建立了旁路串接调速阀的节流调速系统动态特性的理论模型,并进行了相应的试验研究,试验数据分析结果与理论分析相吻合,为此类型回路系统设计提供了参考依据.
