A precise knowledge about the current driving condition is getting increasingly important for future driver assistance systems like global chassis control or collision avoidance systems for avoiding any critical driving situation. Moreover a precise knowledge about the driving situation can be used in testing, in evaluation, and for comparison of new passenger cars. A two degree of freedom model of vehicle lateral dynamics is used to derive a characteristic velocity stability indicator (CVSI). The CVSI is used to distinguish between different driving and stability conditions (i.e. understeering, oversteering, and neutralsteering). This forms the basis for a driving condition detection system with fixed thresholds. It is then extended to a detection system with fuzzy logic thresholds. The CVSI and the fuzzy systems are compared experimentally using (i) a slalom test drive on an icy road and (ii) a stationary circular test drive on a dry asphalt road.  相似文献

To characterize the thickness of a corrosive fluid system's coated facilities, such as pipes, tubes, tanks, and structural members, a complex ultrasonic transducer capable of measuring multilayered parts was fabricated and the time and frequency responses were evaluated. The target transducer was constructed with two active dual elements made from tape-cast PbNb2O6 sheets and an additional thin-film active element made from sol–gel spin-coated Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O3 films. After adjusting the properties of each active element, a complex transducer was assembled after matching the impedance of each element and considering the minimal interference between the active layers. The impulse response of the assembled complex transducer shows excellent characteristics. Moreover, the assembled transducer's capability of accurately measuring the thickness assures that it can be directly applied to related industries.  相似文献

The investment in small hydropower plants requires the analysis of hydrological, technical, operational, budgetary, economical and financial aspects. The analysis of each possible configuration demands the joint action of several technicians, consuming substantial time and money. During initial design of the project, simplified procedures are usually adopted which may compromise the quality of the base configuration.In this paper we will present a global overview of the OPAH model, which was developed to surpass these limitations. This global model performs the optimization of project configuration. This model uses non-linear programming optimization to analyze the multipurpose operation of the hydropower plant. It uses a numeric simulation model of unsteady flow under pressure to analyze the hydraulic circuit. It uses an economical and financial simulation model that takes in to account the project risk associated to hydrologic and market variability, the financial capacity of the investor and the fiscal aspects.  相似文献

Cellular automata models of natural complex phenomena may depend on a set of parameters which can significantly influence the global dynamics of the simulated events. In order to reliably apply such models for predictive purposes, their parameters have to be estimated with the greatest possible accuracy. However, no standardised optimisation techniques exist in this specific research field. Genetic Algorithms (GAs) offer a possible solution: they are parallel algorithms, and can be easily implemented to exploit the simultaneous use of multiple CPUs, thereby greatly reducing the execution time.An application of a parallel GA to the optimisation of a cellular automata model for the simulation of debris flows characterised by strong inertial effects is presented. The May 1998, Curti-Sarno (Italy) debris flow has been selected as a case study for the optimisation of the model. Theoretical considerations on the dynamics of the adopted GA are discussed, with reference to two different fitness functions applied to an idealised case study.Results demonstrated the usefulness of the approach, in terms of both computing time and quality of performed simulations. Moreover, experiments on the idealised case study pointed out that the simplest fitness function (only based on the comparison of affected areas) could conveniently be adopted for calibration purposes.  相似文献

In internal curing, pre-wetted lightweight aggregates (LWA) serve as internal reservoirs to supply the extra water needed by the cementitious and pozzolanic components of the concrete during their hydration processes. Due to their porous nature and reasonably high absorption capacity, the LWA can also be filled with other materials, such as phase change materials (PCMs). In this paper, three potential applications of PCM-filled LWA in concrete technology are presented. In addition to the previously explored application of increasing the energy storage capacity of concrete in residential and commercial construction by using a PCM with a transition temperature near room temperature, applications for higher and lower temperature PCMs also exist. In the former case, a PCM can be used to reduce the temperature rise (and subsequent rate of temperature decrease) of a large concrete section during (semi)adiabatic curing, to minimize thermal cracking, etc. In the latter case, a PCM can perhaps reduce the number or intensity of freeze/thaw cycles experienced by a bridge deck or other concrete exposed to a winter environment. In this paper, these latter two applications are preliminarily explored from both experimental and modeling viewpoints.  相似文献

Forty-four nanometers thick films of alkyl-substituted dysprosium phthalocyanine molecules were prepared on carefully cleaned indium tin oxide (ITO) substrates by the spin casting method. UV–vis absorption spectra and dc conduction characteristics were obtained in order to investigate the structure–conduction property relationship. The conduction is Ohmic at low applied voltages but the space charge limited mechanism is prevalent at relatively high voltages. The conductivities of both as-deposited and heat treated films are found to show directionally anisotropic behaviour. The columnar conductivity was found to be significantly large in the liquid crystalline state.  相似文献

For assessing the applicability of a newly proposed Chinese accelerated mortar bar test (CAMBT) to overseas aggregates and determining the appropriate aggregate size fraction for the test, the influence of aggregate particle size on ASR expansion was studied at 0.15–0.80 mm, 1.25–2.50 mm and 2.5–5.0 mm size fractions on nine aggregates from a range of sources. Correlation between expansions in the CAMBT and in the accelerated mortar bar test (AMBT), and correlations between the two accelerated tests and the Concrete Prism Test (CPT) were examined. The results indicate that, for most aggregates tested, 0.15–0.80  mm is not the most sensitive aggregate size to expansion in the CAMBT, especially at early period before 10 days. The 1.25–2.50 mm size fraction of all the nine aggregates, gives the highest early expansion (first 10 days). Correlation between expansions in the CAMBT and expansions in the AMBT is satisfactory. However, the correlations in expansions of both AMBT and CAMBT with the CPT are very poor. A better correlation between expansions in the modified CAMBT and in the CPT is obtained when 2.5–5.0 mm aggregate particles was used, but further tests are necessary to establish the full reliability of the test.  相似文献
