The proposed work involves the multiobjective PSO based adaption of optimal neural network topology for the classification of multispectral satellite images. It is per pixel supervised classification using spectral bands (original feature space). This paper also presents a thorough experimental analysis to investigate the behavior of neural network classifier for given problem. Based on 1050 number of experiments, we conclude that following two critical issues needs to be addressed: (1) selection of most discriminative spectral bands and (2) determination of optimal number of nodes in hidden layer. We propose new methodology based on multiobjective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) technique to determine discriminative spectral bands and the number of hidden layer node simultaneously. The accuracy with neural network structure thus obtained is compared with that of traditional classifiers like MLC and Euclidean classifier. The performance of proposed classifier is evaluated quantitatively using Xie-Beni and β indexes. The result shows the superiority of the proposed method to the conventional one. 相似文献

Human mobility prediction is of great advantage in route planning and schedule management. However, mobility data is a high-dimensional dataset in which multi-context prediction is difficult in a single model. Mobility data can usually be expressed as a home event, a work event, a shopping event and a traveling event. Previous works have only been able to learn and predict one type of mobility event and then integrate them. As the tensor model has a strong ability to describe high-dimensional information, we propose an algorithm to predict human mobility in tensors of location context data. Using the tensor decomposition method, we extract human mobility patterns with multiple expressions and then synthesize the future mobility event based on mobility patterns. The experiment is based on real-world location data and the results show that the tensor decomposition method has the highest accuracy in terms of prediction error among the three methods. This paper summarizes the basics of pulsed thermal nondestructive testing (TNDT) including theoretical solutions, data processing algorithms and practical implementation. Typical defects are discussed along with 1D analytical and multi-dimensional numerical solutions. Special emphasis is focused on defect characterization by the use of inverse solutions. A list of TNDT terms is provided. This paper derives the exact integrations for the integrals in the boundary element analysis of two-dimensional elastostatics. For facilitation, the derivation is based on the simple forms of the fundamental functions by taking constant, discontinuous linear and discontinuous quadratic elements as examples. The efficiency and accuracy of the derived exact integrations are verified against five benchmark problems; the results indicate that the derived exact integrations significantly reduces the CPU time for forming the matrices of the boundary element analysis and solving the internal displacements. 相似文献

In this paper, we introduce an efficient route discovery mechanism to enhance the performance and multicast efficiency of On-Demand Multicast Routing Protocol (ODMRP). Our framework, called limited flooding ODMRP, improves multicasting mechanism by efficiently managing flooding mechanism based on delay characteristics of the contributing nodes. In our model, only the nodes that satisfy the delay requirements can flood the Join-Query messages. We model the contributing nodes as M/M/1 queuing systems. Our framework considers the significant parameters in delay analysis, including random packet arrival, service process, and random channel access in the relying nodes, and exhibits its best performance results under high traffic load. Simulation results reveal that limited flooding ODMRP drastically reduces the packet overhead under various simulation scenarios as compared to original ODMRP. 相似文献

The study of criminal networks using traces from heterogeneous communication media is acquiring increasing importance in nowadays society. The usage of communication media such as mobile phones and online social networks leaves digital traces in the form of metadata that can be used for this type of analysis. The goal of this work is twofold: first we provide a theoretical framework for the problem of detecting and characterizing criminal organizations in networks reconstructed from phone call records. Then, we introduce an expert system to support law enforcement agencies in the task of unveiling the underlying structure of criminal networks hidden in communication data. This platform allows for statistical network analysis, community detection and visual exploration of mobile phone network data. It enables forensic investigators to deeply understand hierarchies within criminal organizations, discovering members who play central role and provide connection among sub-groups. Data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a widely used technique for measuring the relative efficiencies of decision making units (DMUs) with multiple inputs and multiple outputs. However, in real life applications, undesirable outputs may be present in the production process which needs to be minimized. The present study endeavors to propose a DEA model with undesirable outputs and further to extend it in fuzzy environment in view of the fact that input/output data are not always available in exact form in real life problems. We propose a fuzzy DEA model with undesirable fuzzy outputs which can be solved as crisp linear program for each α in (0, 1] using α-cut approach. Further, cross-efficiency technique is applied to increase the discrimination power of the proposed models and to rank the efficient DMUs at every α in (0, 1]. Moreover, for better understanding of the proposed methodology, we present a numerical illustration followed by an application to the banking sector in India. This is the first study which attempts to measure the performance of public sector banks (PuSBs) in India using fuzzy input/output data for the period 2009–2011. The results obtained from the proposed methodology not only depict the impact of undesirable output on the performance of PuSBs but also analyze efficiently the influence of the presence of uncertainty in the data over the efficiency results. The findings show that the efficiency results of many PuSBs vary with the variation in α during the selected period. 相似文献
