Crowdsourcing technology offers exciting possibilities for local governments. Specifically, citizens are increasingly taking part in reporting and discussing issues related to their neighborhood and problems they encounter on a daily basis, such as overflowing trash-bins, broken footpaths and lifts, illegal graffiti, and potholes. Pervasive citizen participation enables local governments to respond more efficiently to these urban issues. This interaction between citizens and municipalities is largely promoted by civic engagement platforms, such as See-Click-Fix, FixMyStreet, CitySourced, and OpenIDEO, which allow citizens to report urban issues by entering free text describing what needs to be done, fixed or changed. In order to develop appropriate action plans and priorities, government officials need to figure out how urgent are the reported issues. In this paper we propose to estimate the urgency of urban issues by mining different emotions that are implicit in the text describing the issue. More specifically, a reported issue is first categorized according to the emotions expressed in it, and then the corresponding emotion scores are combined in order to produce a final urgency level for the reported issue. Our experiments use the SeeClickFix hackathon data and diverse emotion classification algorithms. They indicate that (i) emotions can be categorized efficiently with supervised learning algorithms, and (ii) the use of citizen emotions leads to accurate urgency estimates. Although many app-based textbooks are available for students, reading have not been thoroughly outlined. This study aimed to understand how changes from paper to electronic textbooks have affected the academic reading task, investigate student users’ perceptions of in-app components and screen sizes, and identify issues affecting in-app components and task requirements. A mixed factorial design experiment was employed. Results showed that there were no significant changes in comprehension and time spent reading between print text and the iPad. Yet, student highlighting, notetaking, and reading behavior and perception significantly changed based on condition. In addition, students struggled to use in-app components and found them frustrating especially when accounting for sentence splitting. The findings presented can assist in understanding the changes in student reading behavior, which can be used to improve interface design of future e-textbooks. 相似文献

A new efficient method for synthesising nitriles, important organic reagents, is reported in this paper. In an environmentally benign solvent‐free system, aryl carboxylic acids were converted into the corresponding nitriles via one‐pot reactions, by amidation with ethyl carbamate followed by dehydration with thionyl chloride, in excellent yields. As the demand for high-quality stereo images has grown in recent years, stereoscopic image quality assessment (SIQA) has become an important research area in modern image processing technology.In this paper, we propose a no-reference stereoscopic image quality assessment (NR-SIQA) model using heterogeneous ensemble learning ‘quality-aware’ features from luminance image, chrominance image, disparity and cyclopean images via quaternion wavelet transform (QWT). Firstly, luminance image and chrominance image are generated by CIELAB color space as monocular perception, and the novel disparity and cyclopean images are utilized to complement with monocular information. Then, a number of ‘quality-aware’ features in the quaternion wavelet domain are discovered, including entropy, texture features, energy features, energy differences features and MSCN coefficients of high frequency sub-band. Finally, a heterogeneous ensemble model via support vector regression (SVR) & extreme learning machine (ELM) & random forest (RF) is proposed to predict quality score, and bootstrap sampling and rotated feature space are used to increase the diversity of data distribution. The three-dimensional virtual scene can provide users with a visual three-dimensional virtual environment, with various multimedia channels such as sound, video, force feedback equipment, etc., to bring users a completely immersive interactive experience. This paper introduces 3D imaging and virtual reality technology in the film and television industry cloud exhibition, and develops a virtual display platform. First of all, this paper divides the registration into two processes: camera calibration and joint calibration of the camera and laser scanner based on the calibration results. Camera calibration can determine the plane model of the calibration board in the camera coordinate system, and the joint calibration uses the RANSAC algorithm to extract the point cloud of the plane model of the calibration board, and then optimizes the distance between the points in the plane model point cloud and the corresponding plane in the camera coordinate system Find the optimal transformation between the two sets of data, and then calculate the registration relationship between the point cloud and the image. Secondly, this article conducts a demand analysis of the film and television industry cloud exhibition platform based on virtual reality technology, including the business goals set by the platform, platform system analysis, overall design, and system operating environment and configuration requirements. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation is one of the important methods to study the performance and in-fluencing factors of turbine flow sensors. According to the working characteristics of the turbine flow sensor, the passive simulation method based on the six degrees of freedom (6-DOF) model and dynamic mesh is proposed in this paper. The reliability of the simulation method is verified by steady-state experiments and unsteady-state experiments. The results show that the trend of meter factor with flow rate acquired from the simulation is close to the experimental results, and the deviation between the simulation result and the experiment result is low with a maximum deviation of 2.88%. In the unsteady simulation study, the impeller speed changes with the inlet velocity of the turbine flow sensor, which has a good follow-up. The passive simulation method can be used to predict the dynamic performance of the turbine flow sensor. 相似文献

This paper proposes an ontology learning method which is used to generate a graphical ontology structure called ontology graph. The ontology graph defines the ontology and knowledge conceptualization model, and the ontology learning process defines the method of semiautomatic learning and generates ontology graphs from Chinese texts of different domains, the so-called domain ontology graph (DOG). Meanwhile, we also define two other ontological operations—document ontology graph generation and ontology graph-based text classification, which can be carried out with the generated DOG. This research focuses on Chinese text data, and furthermore, we conduct two experiments: the DOG generation and ontology graph-based text classification, with Chinese texts as the experimental data. The first experiment generates ten DOGs as the ontology graph instances to represent ten different domains of knowledge. The generated DOGs are then further used for the second experiment to provide performance evaluation. The ontology graph-based approach is able to achieve high text classification accuracy (with 92.3 % in f-measure) over other text classification approaches (such as 86.8 % in f-measure for tf–idf approach). The better performance in the comparative experiments reveals that the proposed ontology graph knowledge model, the ontology learning and generation process, and the ontological operations are feasible and effective. 相似文献
