Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) as a layered inorganic nonmetallic material has been widely used. Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) modification can trigger exfoliation and afford abundant B–OH active sites at edge of h-BN, which can enhance methane activation ability. Introducing tungsten oxide (WO3) to h-BN produces a similar effect, because doping WO3 into h-BN resulted in electron transfer to N, inducing fracture of B–N bond, resulting in N vacancy (triboron center), exposing more B sites and promoting the generation of B–OH. Significantly, the introduction of WO3 on the modified h-BN dramatically increased the concentration of B–OH compared with the unmodified h-BN, because H2O2 modification weakened B–N bond. By means of XRD, TEM, XPS,EPR, FT-IR, it is proved that the high concentration of B–OH active sites contributed to activating C–H bond, thus methane conversion and CO and H2 selectivity were significantly improved. 相似文献

The low shear rate rheology of two phase mesophase pitches derived from coal tar pitch has been investigated. Particulate quinoline insolubles (QI) stabilised the mesophase spheres against coalescence. Viscosity measurements over the range 10–106 Pa s were made at appropriate temperature ranges. Increasing shear thinning behaviour was evident with increasing mesophase content. At low mesophase contents the dominant effect on the near Newtonian viscosity was temperature but at higher contents it was the shear rate; temperature dependence declined to near zero. The data indicated that agglomeration could be occurring at intermediate mesophase volume fractions, 0.2–0.3. The Krieger–Dougherty function and its emulsion analogue indicated that in this region the mesophase pitch emulsions actually behaved like ‘hard’ sphere systems and the effective volume fraction was estimated as a function of shear rate illustrating the change in extent of agglomeration. At the higher volume fractions approaching the maximum packing fraction, which could only be measured at higher temperatures, the shear thinning behaviour changed in character and it is considered that this is possibly due to shear induced deformation and breakup of dispersed drops in the shear field. 相似文献

The goal of the study was to evaluate and compare the physical properties of control, pretreated and densified corn stover, switchgrass, and prairie cord grass samples. Ammonia Fiber Expansion (AFEX) pretreated switchgrass, corn stover, and prairie cord grass samples were densified by using the comPAKco device developed by Federal Machine Company of Fargo, ND. The densified biomass were referred as “PAKs” in this study. All feedstocks were ground into three different grind size of 2, 4 and 8 mm prior to AFEX pretreatment and the impact of grinding on pellet properties was studied. The results showed that the physical properties of AFEX-PAKed material were not influenced by the initial grind size of the feedstocks. The bulk density of the AFEX-PAKed biomass increased by 1.2–6 fold as compared to untreated and AFEX-pretreated materials. The durability of the AFEX-PAKed materials were between 78.25 and 95.2%, indicating that the AFEX-PAKed biomass can be transported easily. To understand the effect of storage on the physical properties of these materials, samples were stored in the ambient condition (20 ± 2 °C and 70 ± 5% relative humidity) for six months. After storage, thermal properties of the biomass did not change but glass transition temperature decreased. The water absorption index and water solubility index of AFEX-treated and AFEX-PAKed biomass showed mixed trends after storage. Moisture content decreased and durability increased upon storage. 相似文献

A cathodic electrochemical method for the exfoliation of graphite to produce hydrogenated graphenic flakes is introduced. The resulting solutions consist of micrometer-sized and predominantly 1–4 layers thick hydrogenated graphenic flakes. In contrast to oxygenation, chemisorption of hydrogen avoids the formation of structural vacancy defects in the exfoliated flakes. Thermal desorption of hydrogen therefore results in graphenic flakes with a low defect density and consequently good electrical conductivity. Cathodic electrochemical exfoliation offers a remarkably simple and effective technique for the production of high quality graphene flakes and their hydrogenated relatives. 相似文献

Carbon fibers have been processed from gel spun polyacrylonitrile copolymer on a continuous carbonization line at Georgia Tech (GT) with a tensile strength in the range of 5.5–5.8 GPa, and tensile modulus in the range of 354–375 GPa. This combination of strength and modulus is the highest for any continuous fiber reported to date, and the gel spinning route provides a pathway for further improvements in strength and modulus for mass production of carbon fibers. At short gauge length, fiber tensile strength was as high as 12.1 GPa, which is the highest value ever reported for a PAN based carbon fiber. Structure analysis shows random flaws of about 2 nm size, which results in limiting tensile strength of higher than 20 GPa. Inter-planar turbostratic graphite shear modulus in high strength carbon fibers is 30 GPa, while in graphite the corresponding value is only 4 GPa. 相似文献

Novel core-shell-like Ni-supported hierarchical beta zeolite catalysts on bioethanol steam reforming

Hierarchical-Beta zeolites have been hydrothermally synthesized by adding a new gemini organic surfactant. The used gemini surfactant play the role of a “pore-forming agents” on the mesoscale, on the same time, providing alkaline environment for the system. With this hierarchical Beta zeolite as the core support, we successfully prepared a shell layer of Ni-containing (22 wt%) petal-like core-shell-like catalyst and applied it to bioethanol steam reforming. At the reaction temperature of 350 °C–550 °C, the conversion rate of ethanol and the selectivity of hydrogen were always above 85% and 70%. After reaction of 100 h on stream at 400 °C, there were not obvious inactivation could be observed on NiNPs/OH-MBeta catalyst. 相似文献

As an industrial pollutant, tar derived from biomass gasification is used as the precursor for fabricating a novel carbon-metal hydroxides composite electrode. A slurry (the mixture of tar, KOH and melamine) is daubed uniformly onto the nickel foam, which is directly carbonized to form NPC@LDH electrode material. This electrode is further coated with NiCo-LDH nanosheets using an electrodeposition method to form NF@NPC@LDH. The newly made NF@NPC@LDH electrode exhibits a high specific capacity of 9.6 F cm−2 at a current density of 2 mA cm−2 and good rate performance (55.3% retention). Furthermore, a hybrid NF@NPC@LDH//NF@PC all-solid-state supercapacitor is fabricated, and the device exhibits high energy density of 1.28 mWh cm−3 at a power density of 8.04 mW cm−3, low resistance and good cycling stability. 相似文献

A novel regenerable Fe/activated coke (AC) desulfurizer prepared by impregnation of Fe(NO3)3 on an activated coke was investigated. Experiment results showed that at 200 °C the SO2 adsorption capacity of the Fe/AC was higher than that of AC or Fe2O3. Temperature-programmed desorption (TPD) revealed that H2SO4 and Fe2(SO4)3 were generated on the desulfurizer upon adsorption of SO2. Effect of desulfurization temperature was also investigated which revealed that with increasing temperature from 150 to 250 °C, the SO2 removal ability gradually increases. The used Fe/AC can be regenerated by NH3 at 350 °C to directly form solid ammonium-sulfate salts. 相似文献
