In this paper we report on the preparation and laser performance of transparent 3at.% Yb:Sc2O3 ceramics by reactive sintering of commercially available powders under vacuum followed by hot isostatic pressing (HIP). Combinations of different vacuum sintering temperatures (1650 °C and 1750 °C) and different HIP treatments (1700 °C and 1800 °C at 200 MPa) were tested in order to understand how these steps influence the microstructure and thus the optical and lasing properties of the ceramic samples. All the samples showed a good optical quality. The microstructure analysis and the laser tests showed that the vacuum pre-sintering temperature is the key factor determining the quality of the samples and the laser performances. The best values of slope efficiency i.e. ηL = 50 % and output power i.e. Pout = 6.62 W were obtained for the sample pre-sintered under vacuum at 1650 °C and hot isostatically pressed at 1800 °C.  相似文献

Three-dimensional (3D) highly interconnected graphitized macroporous carbon foam with uniform mesopore walls has been successfully fabricated by a simple and efficient hydrothermal approach using resorcinol and formaldehyde as carbon precursors. The commercially available cheap polyurethane (PU) foam and Pluronic F127 were used as a sacrificial polymer and mesoporous structure-directing templates, respectively. The graphitic structure of carbon foam was obtained by catalytic graphitization method using iron as catalyst. Three different carbon foams such as graphitized macro-mesoporous carbon (GMMC) foam, amorphous macro-mesoporous carbon (AMMC) foam and graphitized macroporous carbon (GMC) foam were fabricated and their physicochemical and mechanical properties were systematically measured and compared. It was found that GMMC possess well interconnected macroporous structure with uniform mesopores located in the macroporous skeletal walls of continuous framework. Besides, GMMC foam possesses a well-defined graphitic framework with high surface area (445 m2/g), high pore volume (0.35 cm3/g), uniform mesopores (3.87 nm), high open porosity (90%), low density (0.30 g/cm3) with good mechanical strength (1.25 MPa) and high electrical conductivity (11 S/cm) which makes it a promising material for many potential applications.  相似文献

We extend the definition of the classical Jacobi polynomials withindexes α, β>−1 to allow α and/or β to be negative integers. We show that the generalized Jacobi polynomials, with indexes corresponding to the number of boundary conditions in a given partial differential equation, are the natural basis functions for the spectral approximation of this partial differential equation. A WO3/CeO2/YSZ nanocomposite material [W/Zr nominal atomic ratio = 0.025, Ce/Zr nominal atomic ratio = 0.020] was prepared by wet impregnation and characterized by means of X-ray photoelectron and diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopic techniques, X-ray diffraction and thermal analysis.Both tungsten and cerium oxides are significantly reduced at the interface with YSZ: Ce(III), in particular, seems to be the prevailing species.The interaction of the WO3/CeO2/YSZ nanopowder with pyridine and CO2 allowed to investigate the acidic/basic sites. Weak contributions at 1602, 1625 and 1647 cm−1 suggest the presence of Lewis and Brønsted acidic sites, whereas basic sites are not evidenced by the interaction with carbon dioxide. The presence of tungsten oxide causes the decrement of the acidic/basic sites, as indicated by the comparison with the results obtained on the CeO2/YSZ support. Consistently, the interaction with methanol is mainly molecular.The oxidation of methanol was investigated both in the absence and in the presence of water. In this paper, the photocatalytic activity of industrial titanium dioxide (TiO2) based nacreous pigments was researched as functional building materials for photocatalytic NO remove. Three industrial TiO2 based nacreous pigments were selected to estimate the photocatalytic activity for NO remove. This study is a good proof that pearlescent pigments can eliminate NO, and its performance is positively correlated with its titanium dioxide content. And this research will widen the application of nacreous pigments in functional building materials, and provide a new way to eliminate in door nitric oxide pollution.  相似文献
